Hi
I have a Pioneer F70dab head unit connected to a Galaxy note 4 with the latest AA app and Android 5.1. Whenever I press the voice command mic icon I get a spoken message saying the Internet is unavailable, even though it isn't as am using maps or streaming music. Any ideas what could be the problem?

Hi,
looking for some help. I have my sgs paired with the stereo in my car and they connect no problem. However, it automatically activates the PHONE bt profile and the MEDIA bt profile. I don't want the media profile active. So each time, I have to wait for them to connect, then go thought a few levels of system menus to find the bt pairing to the car and then turn of the media profile.
Anyone know how to make the change persistent?
My setup:
i9000m
Froyo 2.2 (ugjl2)

I don't know about BMWs but in my F150 w/sync I hit my voice command button and say "Bluetooth Audio". Then after it recognizes my n1 I hit the button again and say "Play All". If your car has voice commands you may try some variation of that. If not, buy American next time

thanks but it did not help. i was wondering more if their is an app or something to enable this feature.
The problem isn't the phone its the car then. There are some aftermarket head units (car stereos) that may have the features you looking for.

Your stereo must support A2DP to pass the music through. Check the website to confirm.
I'm new to using tasker, but I want it to play pandora when it sees my car's bluetooth, and exit pandora when I leave my car. But the media play/pause actions, are causing moto assist to pop up. Is there a way to send play/pause pandora and not have the moto assist interfere?
You can tell Moto Assist to launch Pandora instead of Google Play Music when it detects your car's Bluetooth. Not sure if that's what you're after, but it sounds like that would solve your problem.

Well I was trying to launch Pandora using Tasker, I guess i didn't realize you could use Moto Assist to add any custom actions/events. How do you tell Moto Assist to launch Pandora upon connecting to the car's bluetooth?
Nevermind, I just checked and found the play music option under the driving profile. I do wonder though, how long does it take Moto Assist to "learn" my bluetooth devices associated with driving? I have that option turned on, but the section that says it will list devices it has learned is empty...I really don't want it playing music or reading texts to me while I'm riding in someone else's car.
Interesting question and I'm not sure. I've never had it try to play in someone else's car. Once you've paired it to your car, assuming you haven't paired it with other cars, I think it will work correctly. If you've paired with multiple cars and only want it to play in yours, I'm not sure.

I've only paired it to my car, but I just bought a bluetooth car kit so that I can stream music (my car only does phone calls), so when I drive my phone is connected to two bluetooth devices at once. My question is that Moto Assist says it will overtime learn which bluetooth devices are associated with driving and use them to help determine when the phone should switch to driving mode. It has not yet learned my car (or the bluetooth kit...but that I just got that yesterday), because it doesn't show up in the "devices associated with driving" list. So the only way it knows that I'm driving is based on gps speed/acceleration, which means that I could be in any car, not just my own. How long does it take for it to associate my car's bluetooth with driving? Or is there something I can do manually to define particular devices with driving mode?
Not sure. For me after I paired my phone with my car radio, it immediately saw it in Moto Assist and I've never had problems since. You're sure you've paired your phone to the car?

Mine stutters when connected to my car's headunit. It's especially bad when in a call. Wasn't a problem with my Note 3 and doesn't happen on other bluetooth devices.
I haven't had any Bluetooth issues other than the fact it eats a lot of my battery throughout the day but that's a usage issue than anything else. I also use Bluetooth in my car while commuting around the city. If the audio stutters, that often means the connection isn't stable therefore move closer or remove anything in between.
Does playing a track before the Bluetooth connection is established make a difference?

cant connect to my car bt either
Use Bluetooth religiously for music in my truck and my headphones while working out.. No stutters here.. works flawlessly...

Not really. It cuts off for a second every minute or so. The phone is right in front of the headunit so i dont think distance os the problem. The case is plastic so that shouldn't be causing interference also.

Well it seems like there was a Bluetooth fix for Mazda cars in the latest OTA, do let us know if that fixes the problem.

I'm having the same issue with Bluetooth not connecting/cutting out when it does.
OnePlus 3T
Android: 7.0
OOS: 4.0.2
Car is a 2016 BMW 328i
Not a problem on my Optima. I actually had to tune it with an equalizer app because stock equalizer raises the Treble louder then the bass. All normal now but not cutting. Had problem connecting phone automatically for a few days but went away

Use my device with a set off speakers and to connect to my in car audio system and I don't experience the problems you have, sometimes I need to stop and start my music a couple of times whilst it reconnects again if I move between devices but after that it stays connected and working.
my phone has trust issues with my car. it always requires a re-pairing whenever I try to establish a connection (means, whenever I enter the car, and try to connect, it requires me to pair the same phone again)
Working perfectly with my car. Maybe updating car stereo firmware could help?
I will try to see if there is an update for the car master today (their site seems to be down atm). I have had it work at times but it usually has issues connecting and will stop/pause sometimes out of nowhere. It's really difficult because I need a Bluetooth connection when driving but it gets to the point that I need to forget and repair my phone everytime I drive....
I just got my my OP 3T . I had issues with it connecting to my VW Passat. Then I read the following at the car's BT manufacturer's FAQ
Some versions of Android use a deviate pairing method. This can cause the problem of a failing connection. The solution is the free tool Bluetooth File Transfer (Android) for a better Bluetooth connection. It is available at Google Play. Establish the pairing once with this app and from then, everything should work as normal.
So after this app connected for the first time to the car's unit, the phones own BT software also started connecting without problems when I turned the car off and on subsequent times.
Might be worth a try.
Anybody have that problem also its connected and calls works but dont play music

Could you guys please elaborate some more on your problem?
My 3T (OOS 4.0.3) seems to be ok but I am in a slightly different situation.
My Bluetooth connection with my car is fine.
I have tested playing Jango Radio which is a internet music streaming app.
I have tested making phone calls through my phone using Bluetooth and the speakers in my car work fine.
Both cases have worked fine.
I have also tested Google Maps and letting the speech engine talk to me (again via Bluetooth) and things are fine.

I have a strange Bluetooth bug like that, happens every 2 or 3 songs and pausing and unpausing plays the song for me. Give that a try and see how it goes!
