contacts is saved to your Microsoft account
and SMS is also saved if you enabled backup in settings...
This worked, would never think of it. Thanks

Hello,
in an attemp to syncronize my htc tytn II with outlook 2007, I ran into a problem 80510014 saying something about profile mismatching.
After several atemps, I ended up in deleting my profile on my mobile device, hoping that it only deletes the setting.
Uffff, after a few seconds ...I had lost my contacts and everything else.
is there a method i could restore my contacts ??
thank you.
are the contacts on your computer/outlook?
forgot to mention, contact were not sincronized due to that error
main question here is: is there an option to un-delete the contacts once they were deleted by removing the profile ?
i believe once u've deleted off the phone its not possible to get it back...unless u used pim to backup before hand? i accidently did that as well because my AS did not work so i had to delete the partnership or whatever and it deleted all the contacts/appointments on my phone...but because i sync it everyday i have everything on my laptop so i just had to sync it back
I have saved a number of draft sms messages that i would like to either save to an external program on a pc, or at least print them out.
I have install both active sync and can see the whole device, but have no idea where or what these files would be saved as.
ive also downloaded and used sprite explorer and backup, but this only seems to backup all the data on the device.
Has anyone ideas as to
A) What these files would be saved as
B) Whats the best way or program that would allow me to save this and view them on a pc.
Ive tried jeyo mobile extender but it doent seem to work with the diamond
any help is much appriciated
I effed up my phone with the android thing, and now none of the buttons work and I can't install any cabs or remove them. Touch screen does work. I need a way of copying my contacts and messages before I hard reset.

get this software called PIM for pocket pc. (link below)
http://www.freewareppc.com/database/pimbackup.shtml
you can back up contacts, calender entries and messages in a .pib format. if u copy that .pib file to your SD card it should be unaffected until u wanna restore them again.
to restore, just run that file. it restores all your backed up information.
EDIT: this software does not require any installation and is not a .cab file so you should have no trouble running it.

Yes activesync won't sync this and myphone service has been shutdown now. I guess it was online only ?
Do you guys know any way to retrieve the messages from the PC now when the phone itself is not operational ??
(lcd cable problem - so things like this PIM app on the phone can't be used)

you can connect you phone to pc, boot windows mobile and connect via active sync, then you can install mymobiler then you see the display content on you pc, then the easiest way should be to sync you calender/contacts via google (here is how to)
btw: just noticed that that prog is working in android too

hi .
i ordered a lumia 720 i stil use a hd2 with windows mobile (yeah i know its old ) but my question is what is the easiest way to export the data from windows mobile (contacts , tekst message etc ) to a new wp8 device??
anyone any good ideas on how to do that ?
greets
Sadly, I'm not aware of any current way to export SMS in a format that can then be imported into WP8. WP8 does have a SMS backup/restore feature, but I haven't yet looked into uploading data from something other than a WP8 device to then get restored. It's worth investigating, though.
Contacts will automatically be imported if they are in the contact books of any EAS account (Hotmail/Exchange/Office365/Gmail) that you add to your WP8 device. For contacts which are purely on the phone, one option is to write them out to the SIM card, put the SIM in the new phone, and import them that way. Althernatively, Samsung (and possibly Nokia; I haven't checked) phones have an app for contact sharing via BlueTooth, though I'm not sure if WM6.5 supports exporting them that way.
Documents can be uploaded to SkyDrive and then synced down to the phone, and music/video/pictures can be synced using MTP over USB from any PC, but other data is likely going to be nigh-impossible to transfer right now.
hi,i am using nokia lumia 720,i have xperia s too,i want to send my whole contacts to my xperia using bluetooth.but there is no option for to send.contact transfer is not working.it retrieves contacts from my xperia.is there any option to back up contacts to pc.
1. Turn on BT
2. Open contact to send
3. Tap menu (three commas - down, right corner)
4. Select "Share contact"
how to send whole contacts,i don't wanna send one by one...
You should better sync your contacts with cloud service(GoogleContact/Outlook)then you won't need to transfer data between phone again, just sync your phone to the service and your contacts will sync automatically, however, there's Nokia 's app called Transfer my Data which you can export contact to SD card.(I don't know that is there an option in the app that can transfer contacts via Bluetooth or not.) Import contact files to Google contact then sync your phone to your Google account.

If you want to get contacts on an Android phone, there are Android apps to do that (just as there are WP apps to pull contacts from other phones).

Just go to contact name and go to share option by bluetoooth after switching on your bluetooth. Contcat is being transferred by a link in lumia phones.
