Basically as the title says...is there any way to change what is displayed on the clearview screen? I've found under accessories there is a segment for it but the only option, on mine, is to turn the dual clock on or off.
Am I missing something or is that the only option? I'd like to be able to customize it somewhat.

The AT&T sign and the Date are shown on the top left and right correspondingly on the Today screen, under the top horizontal bar. I have been trying to find a way to change their colors (make them more visible, they are totally obscured in some Today screen settings). The HTC Home customizer or any other program I have found (e.g. Thememaker SE) does not allow changes in the text color for those two items.
Anybody knows how to do this?

You can't change those, it's hardcoded into the plugin. maybe a future version of the plugin will allow that.
Thanks! I bought my phone as unlocked Kaiser, so the AT&T signal must be coming from the AT&T network. Is this the "plugin" you are refering to?
I can't remember if I've seen this as possible; seen this as a want; or it already exists.
I don't use a lock screen on my phone at all. Sometimes I worry about security, but not enough to deal with a lock screen all the time.
Solution would be that if your phone is out of Bluetooth range of your watch, then you hit a lock screen (with password). If you leave your watch at home or something, then you get to enter your password when you turn on your phone. When you have your watch on, no lock-screen.
This already out there somewhere? Wonder if Tasker could do something like this.
Looking at:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=955092 with Bluetooth plugin, but is there something like this in the Gear store somewhere?
This feature is included in Gear Manager. I use it and it works great.

I just saw the option, but 1 problem - it seems to force you to use a slide unlock when the gear is in range, and pattern unlock when it is not.
Any way to use *no* lock screen when gear in range?
Not that I know of.

Thanks for the replies. Hmm - additional security vs pain of lock screen.
Question I'll have to go look up - I haven't used a lock screen since I was going crazy in my Widget Locker days. I remember reading a lot about being able to customize the screen a bit and/or add some more basic info - how customizable is tge default lock screen nowadays?
Edit: Nevermind, I just went to lockscreen to turn on 'swipe' and got a page full of stuff that disappears when you select 'none' (which is where I was a minute ago...)

Did anyone find a way yet to use a pin rather then pattern lock to use with autounlock? anytime I activate autounlock it prompts for a pattern which is not what I like. I want to use a pin if possible...
Maybe try this app?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jraf.android.nolock&hl=en
I'm not sure if it only disables the lockscreen when you don't have password on, hopefully there's some settings you can mess around with.
So I know we've just gotten our hands on this phone but is there any way to change the rediculous stacked clock other than a theme? I think the S8 is same so maybe there's an app for this.
Settings>Display then scroll to bottom and you'll see the option for Always on Display, Smart Stay etc.
Not the aod clock, I mean the actual lock screen clock.

Very interested in an answer to this, as well

I have an S8 Plus and this is what worked for me to get the awful stacked clock off of the lock screen. 1) go to settings, choose the option for Lock Screen / Wallpapers. 2) Choose the option for Information / FaceWidgets. 3) Choose the option for Contact Information. At this point, you can enter your contact info if you want to, but you don't have to. Simply hit the space bar a time or two, and save. You should now have a much better clock when you look at your lock screen.

Yikes not the ****!
I just put a weather widget on the lock screen under the clock and that took care of it.

Choose a theme. I know it's a bit of an annoyance, but I changed my theme and it changed the lock screen clock.
If you turn on notifications in settings, lock screen and security, the clock will be horizontal. It could go back to vertical when there are no notifications, but i have viber icon enabled, so there's always one notification active.

I’m not sure this is exactly what you mean, but I figured I would post it and if not you won’t use it. I didn’t liked the digital clock either because it was stacked. I also already have a digital clock in the notification area. So I chose the analog clock and picked a different color as well. This has nothing to do with a theme because I actually set this up and Nova before I looked for a way to get a dark background and found a decent then that worked for me. I hope this helps and it’s what you are looking for. I would’ve answered sooner, but I just noticed this thread. If you meant something else and you haven’t solved it, please let me know.

AOD (Always on Display) is not what I'm talking about. The option your talking about is for AOD not the lock screen clock.

Yes, it was. Like I said, I wasn’t 100% certain exactly what you were looking for. However, that being said, I do have an analog clock on my AOD and a normal digital clock on the lock screen. I think there are only 2 possibles on why that working on my phone:
1.) I have a free theme downloaded and installed because I wanted a black background. I was concerned on doing this because I have my phone setup to look a certain way as I’m sure you do as well. I use Nova Prime and Cobalt Icon Pack. I was afraid that if I installed this it would change what I had set up, but it different. In case you wanted to try it, the name of the theme is Material_Black
2.) The other idea that I have heard that works and ironically I’m using one, is to install a Weather app. I have Transparent clock & weather installed. I also use the a widget from this app on my home screen to show the time, weather, and lots of other stuff. I’ve read from other people mention 2 or 3 other weather apps working as well. So if you’re using a different one, maybe you could try that first.
The reason I am assuming it’s one of these 2 ideas is because I changed my AOD clock to be the stacked version and my lock screen clock didn’t change. It stayed it’s normal digital. So obviously what you have set on your AOD has no bearing on the lock screen. If you try the theme idea, I don’t believe there are any special settings to enable. However, using the weather app may require a specific setting that I’m not sure of. I’ve been using my weather app for years on numerous phones and I really haven’t changed any settings on it other than some aesthetics.
I hope this helped out. If not, I can look again in my phone because obviously something is working on my phone to accomplish what you want. I would also appreciate it if you try these ideas, if you could let me know if it works and which one/specific settings. This way in case I come across other people with the S8/S8+ and Note 8 I can be more specific in helping them. Good luck! I hope one of them work!
I am absolutely certain I saw this in the settings a few days ago, but I can't find it now and a search of settings is coming up with nothing.
Basically, it was a way to set up split screen but having both sides of the screen active. This was demonstrated in the settings as having a dancing stick figure in the active window and when I turned on "both sides active" (or whatever it is actually called) then both stick figures started dancing.
Can anyone help me find this setting again? I've been through every single option in the settings and can't see it anywhere!
Thanks
I think that's a Good lock setting.

Bingo! Thank you
Speaking of split screen.....
On my s8 I could tap the middle bar of the 2 apps I am running split and it gives me option to flip the two easily. I can't figure out for the life of me how to do this on the s10. Is it possible?
I was tweaking the shortcut icons on my notifications shade and somehow by changing the grid size, I've managed to block access to the 3 dot menu. (See screenshot). Any attempt to hit the 3 dot menu ends up activating the shortcut icon below it.
I tried switching to horizontal, which I can then access the 3 dot menu but then there's no option to change the grid size!?!?
Anyone have any ideas? Or am I stuck and have to reset my phone?
Video demonstrating the problem
Thanks for any assistance
Added note: tried booting into safe-mode but that didn't help

Did or have you activated the developers menu? Do this and scroll down the list until you see "minimum width" and set it to 411. This is or will change your working screen area making screen area, icons, & menus bigger or smaller, maybe this may work. Try different numbers but mine was set to 411 out of the box. That's the only think I can think of that may lead you to a fix, not a guaranteed solution tho, just an idea. Looks like a glitch of some sort, this idea is all I can think of that may help you find a solution. Later my friend.
Good luck!

Thank you for the suggestion. I had tried changing the screen resolution under display settings but that didn't work. It hadn't even occurred to me to try under the developers options. Unfortunately, that didn't work either.
I've solved the problem by resetting the phone.
