About squadzone and developments :)

Guys incase some of you didn't notice all squadzone's threads have been marked "Closed" . Now what does that mean? It means that squadzone asked the moderator to close the threads. Why? Because he quit XDA . That's all the news i have now . And i am serious about this. Talked to squadzone and he told this to me .

Svennen i know he is/was online. He was checking my post. But i talked to him on IRC. And he said that he left XDA .

I would have to say I agree with that.
So many people complaining about every little thing as if the ROM would be magically setup according to their every whim with no effort on their part at all, and not realizing that many of the 'problems' were of their own making or lack of trying things on their own.
It's amazing he continued in such circumstances as long as he did.

I think the forum should have more moderators that clean the treads and ban the trolls.

Hey, I have a stupid idea, let purge the trolls and figure out a way to bring squad back.

So, Squadzone won't back??? This can't be true :/.

this is freaking sad. ive been flashing roms here and then, but i always end up with squads rom. sad. damn it.

Huhu. Not everybody is an android specialist. There are beginners and there are profis. And when anybody faces problems, why doesn't he post them here.
I personally respect the person squadzone. But his new and new ideas for a new rom version became annoying. I personally would have found it better if he had focused to make one rom complete and bug free instead of producing a new on and on.

Please provide me some details on the bugs present in CyanogenMod 10 and the features you love to see.

I have an OB. Its just that i need more people to test together.

Bugs:
- Flash lockscreen
- Battery drain very fast
- gps not working fine
For me, i dont need any special features, only need stable

But IZS is rocking..

I think that for most people here wants a stable CM10(.1) based whatever rom with good quality cam and working gps.Fancy features are useless if the rom is not usable for the most common stuff.
And "Bruno from Mars", if you will do it, you will gain a Arcee like status on this forum and everyone will bow in front of you.

Ok. Im in the works of the ROM.
this ROM will feature a aim of not adding features to bombard more bugs, but to solve bugs before adding a single new feature. This grants your wish, and is also my aim. to help fellow xda users

Petition for a stable firmware to lg!

First of all, sorry for my bad english
I'm a possessor of a lg optimus 4X, a handsome device but with a obsolet firmware... so i with antyavi will start a digital petition versus lg to receive a stable software for our device...

We have a stable software, it's called STOCK. It is more stable than any of the custom ROMs available and, if you disable MLT, the battery life isn't too bad either.
What you mean is that you're going to try and petition LG to release Kitkat (how I hate that name) for our device - well good luck with that, but you won't change anything, they either will or will not release it depending on how they feel and what plans they have.

Is Stock stable? I don't think... an incredible hot from battery if you use a simple game as dead trigger, the mistery of the " offline mode", automatic unlock of screen and the launcher that is sh...t, do you think that is a stable firmware?
However, if you dislike this initiative... simply doesn't comment, is better to try that to fail without tentatives...

The OP isn't a noob, he's been a member for 6 months.
I didn't snap at him. Where is there anything in my post that was a snap? I merely stated that the stock ROM is stable, which it is, and that petitioning LG will not achieve anything.
We already have at least one ”Upgrade" thread and don't need another one, but that wasn't the point I was trying to make.
As for being "butthurt", you come across as being unable to deal with anything that is not in your comfort zone. This is the Interwebz so get used to it - no wonder we hear so many stories about kids killing themselves because they were being "bullied on Facebook" or something equally stupid.
I am positive most of the time, yes I do criticise noobs who ask stupid questions because I have watched this site deteriorate over the last couple of years under its own success, mostly due to kids coming on here and simply expecting to get the answer to any question or teasing it like another cr4ppy social media site.

LG Optimus 4X it is not in the list of device who have android 4.4 kit kat upgrade, the petition who i open is for our device only, and i request upgrade for stability, battery drain and better kernel.

there is no "public list" of devices who will have 4.4kitkat made by lg

NexSense ROM General Discussion

Since the DEV-ONLY thread was getting OT and Noob questions, I thought I'd make this thread to take all that away from that thread and leave the devs to their work. So ask anything here about it until Galaxyuser creates a ROM thread. I'll be happy to answer questions as well.
If you would like some instructions on how to flash this ROM with MultiROM, here is a video made by Gavin96 that will walk you through step by step on how to do so.

Yeah, i could tell people were getting irritated. Hopefully this will help the development of the ROM go a little faster. I didn't think I'd ever like anything other than stock Android but I'm liking Sense 6.

Sense looks better to me on the Nexus 5 than it does on an HTC phone.

Any idea till when it will get stable release, how much bugs are left for fix

There's quite a bit of work they need to do. The main one is sound and mic I think. Since we can't make phone calls without it. Until thats fixed, it can't be a daily driver unless you never take calls. Other things like the camera and certain sensors and NFC need to be fixed but can go without if needed.

Ok but i have heard that it breaks few sensors of many users and testers

That's going to be one heck of an undertaking although one may be able to cheat the sensors by using our libs and renaming them to match htc's version. I don't know how this guys doing his porting though.

The first release broke the sensors. The second one doesn't break them. But some still don't work.

Oh ok thanks man, will wait for stable release

I never thought there was such a big sense following among nexus users. I prefer pure Android myself but I'm interested in seeing if they can actually make a decent port with everything working so I can give it a whirl. Hats off to the devs I'm sure its not going to be easy.

Well one of the best things that the Nexus 5 has is MultiROM. Thanks to that, I have both sense and stock on my device. Best of both worlds.

I'm impressed with how far it has gone already. Sure, no audio, nfc, or sensors, but the fact the RIL and Wifi work is enough to at least play around with for more than a few minutes. It actually runs really well for having very few bug fixes.

Any word if CDMA ril is working?

Hey im no dev but I do know a few that do work on sprint HTC phones. He gave me a few files to try that he thinks might work but I cant get multi-rom to work right with this rom to try it and I don't have time to work on it, its dinner time.

Does this rome fine on multirom?

Anyone ever used an Ubuntu Touch OS on one of their phones before? What does it shout out to you the most, or not for that matter? Curious if how much it may still need in comparison coming from an Android experience. Thanks.

I am sure it would be really interesting to see Ubuntu running on this phone. I am worried about the ecosystem provided with it though. Lack of ecosystem is what kinda brought the market share of Nokia/Microsoft/Windows down.

There is no official word on its completion. Ubports show nothing as working and progress remains at zero like it has been for months.

Anyone tested this yet? (The commands given at the bottom of the website)
