Hi
I'm trying to test a ROM out and I'm coming by something I've never seen before. It goes through the aroma with no errors and everything appears to install correctly. I go to first boot the rom and others past the splash screen then it goes black. It doesn't seem to boot the rom. I flashed an soap rom to test and make sure that I could still flash rims and it works fine. I go back to test my rom and it does the same thing. It's based on 7.19.401.2 and I'm using 7.17.1540.22 firmware on my m7 Dev ed. Any ideas
Thanks

You said that AOSP roms are working fine, did you tried other roms based on 7.19.401.2? Is your rom using the stock kernel of 7.19.401.2 or a custom one? I had many problems booting custom kernels (like ElementalX) when using the 7.xx.1540.x firmware, reverted to 7.19.401.x firmware and everything was fine. So maybe a kernel problem, might also worth to try another twrp version like 2.6.3.3

sorry for late reply, to flash the .401 firmware on your phone you can simply open the firmware.zip and modify the android-info.txt file so that your MID and CID is included in the list. Better to use notepad++. The other option is to change your phone MID and CID so they match the android-info.txt (PN0710000 and HTC__001)
Cool thanks man

fastbot reboot-bootloader

So it might be a problem with your rom. I can't really help your more, I never built or ported a rom (I'm not a dev). Might want to ask another dev or compare your rom with another similar one based on 7.19.401.2 that works fine when flashed to your phone.
Sorry

Just run an RUU on it
http://www.androidfiles.org/ruu/?dir=M7
If it wont let you, you could always pull the rom.zip and flash the system image

You want the one labeled 3.06.1700.10. That is the one that matches the latest GE 4.3 dump. More info including the entire dump and full conversion can be found here:

As I said earlier you can't flash custom firmware but you can still flash roms..... If you want to flash a GE custom rom than you can do that without needing to change/update your firmware.
Seems that every single GPe KitKat ROM that I install gives me random reboots at the setup screen, my firmware is of the 4.3 (sense 5) and I am s-on
Please give me advice on what to do.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Im having the same issue, my phone has an unlocked bootloader. I tried to install 2 different kind of 4.4 GPe roms and both times its restarting at the setup screen, where it ask for the language to use. Is S-Off different from unlocked bootloader and did the s-off with rumrunner fixed the issue? Thanks
I have s-off and have been but I couldn't install any of the 4.4 Roms and it caused crazy bootloop where recovery wasn't even an option thru fastboot or anything. Had to ruu out. Miserable day yesterday with a g2x lol. Think I might try to run the ruu for GE 4.4 tonight if I find an easy how to so I can play with 4.4 too.
I'm thinking it has to do with the software date too since I was s-off and got a fail also. I was on the original 1.xx T-Mobile software.

Hey! Yes, unlocked bootloader and s-off are different, here's a link to the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2487888
First, if you can sideload a ROM, do that and enable USB debugging on it before you run the tool.
Then, all you have to do is click the download link, download the 0.5.0 zip, extract it, then run the .exc file with admin permissions on your windows 7 computer. Be patient, it WILL take a while.

Recovery bootlooped? Seems like a recovery issue... I use TWRP 2.6.3.3
Firmware issue? I don't know, but I'm running the latest 4.3 AT&T official firmware, and the tool worked for me, then everything went fine.
And wow, the g2x... A taste of old Android, almost literally.

Yes. You can flash any ROM now - regardless of region. Doesn't matter if it's CM11, GPE, SENSE, AOKP etc.
The CID number determines what region the phone was bought in, and will only allow other ROMs or OTAs from that region to be flashed to the phone. Now that you've made your phone super cid it means you've no limits to what ROMs you can flash.
This is in layman's terms though, since I'm no developer. Hope I've made some kind of sense.

Oh yeah that's very easy. I dint think you would of needed super cid but it's good to have.
Just flash a recovery from the boot loader and copy the GPe rom to your phone and flash!

Hello,
I would like to flash Android Revolution HD 60.0 and it is based on the M8's 1.54.401.5 firmware, is it safe to grab the 1.54.401.5 firmware and flash it on my M7 so it matches with the ROM?

That's an HTC M8 software that has been ported to the One... You can't flash it... You need to wait for the HTC M7 base
