I just bought a 9.7" Galaxy Tab S2 at our local BestBuy (San Jose, California). Brought it home, turned it on, entered my Google account email and password. Everything went fine except for that leftmost swipe screen that Samsung calls "Briefing" and uses to display various aggregated news. 95% of that page is in Indonesian language! When I activated my tablet, I selected "English (United States)" as the language. Everything is "English" in my Google account. All my language and location settings are US English, US English and only US English. Yet the Briefing page articles are in Indonesian. Maybe 5% of them are in English, but the overwhelming majority is not.
I contacted Samsung Support and they connected to my tablet through their "Tutor" app. They couldn't fix it. That page is still in Indonesian.
I did two factory resets, trying not to enter my Google account info. No change. "Briefing" page articles are in Indonesian. There's was a brief moment after one of the factory resets when "Briefing" page refreshed to US-specific articles in English for a short period of time. But it didn't stick: after another refresh it switched back to Indonesian again.
In the end Samsung support gave up and said that the device is apparently defective. I'll try to exchange it at BestBuy tomorrow (being almost sure that the next device will suffer from the same problem).
Has anyone experienced anything like that? Maybe I'm missing something simple?
Actually I just saw that on my Note 5. Only just a couple of hours ago it started. Must be Flipboard having trouble or something.
I also think it's flipboard, as in the setting you select the language in the app, it has nothing to do with the google.
Well, the thing is, S2 does not have Flipboard app installed out of the box. It only has this Briefing app, which seems to be like a "reduced" version of Flipboard, responsible for displaying that leftmost screen one can sweep to. There are no region and language settings in Briefing.
However, we did try to install Flipboard app (Samsung support also tried to do it). Flipboard app does seem to have region settings and everything looks fine inside Flipboard: everything is my region-specific (i.e. US-specific) and everything is in English. But that unfortunately has no effect on the "Briefing" screen: that screen remains in Indonesian regardless of what I do in Flipboard app.
The briefing app is flipboard, if you install the full version, and log in, it should connect, I get the same content whether it's the briefing widget or from the download flipboard.
I just tried and changed the location, and I get the contents which is related to my location from flipboard or briefing.

Yes, it is but it is still a separate app with its own settings. Which seems to be not changeable.

Where exactly in Flipboard do you change the location? The only relevant setting I see there is "International Content Guides" currently set to "United States" in my case. Changing that setting has no effect on the Briefing page anyway. Why would it? This is an account-specific setting anyway, and Briefing app does not work with accounts.
I am also experiencing Indonesian flipboard news on my briefing also.

Same as what you have mention, I set it to UK, and my login details on briefing and the flipboard is identical., I log out on briefing the flipboard app also does the same, same for log in.

We might be talking about different things... My Briefing does not have any login details - it simply has no "login" features . Flipboard does.
I presume that Flipboard (if installed) is supposed to supply the additional data feed to Briefing, so in that way they share the account information. But unfortunately so far it didn't seem to help to resolve the language issue. Maybe I'm somehow supposed to install Flipboard and then set up Flipboard to completely "override" (or "overwhelm") the "default" Briefing feed? I.e. the English feed from Flipboard is supposed to "push out" the original Indonesian feed? So far I was not able to do that.
In any case, it is strange. S2 does not come with Flipboard app pre-installed. Which means that when one buys a tablet in US, out-of-the-box one gets a device with Indonesian news feed in Indonesian language and apparently no way to change that without installing an additional app (?!). And even after installing that additional app, the problem does not seem to go away.
On top of that, Samsung support was not able to figure it out after fiddling with my device for an hour.

see if you get this information, on briefing top right hand corner on the home page, there is three dots, touch that and you should get settings, underneath the setting word, you should get the login or logout.
If you are logged in, you touch the icon and a pop up will give you the option open profile in flipboard or log out.

Yes, you are right. With Flipboard installed, I do get the option to log into Flipboard or log out of it on Briefing page. Unfortunately the content of Briefing page is still Indonesian.

May be you do have a problem with yours, can you take it back to the shop and see if they can check this out, using a remote system to check is not always a good option.
Same here, have a Tab S2 and can't get the Daily Briefing out of Indonesian. On Verizon. I'm going to just disable it.
bleh
I have the same problem on my s6 I don't want to have a huge news app I just like the swipe screen to check quick but now it's all in Indonesian and I'm pretty pissed at this bloat ware with no language option
I logged into my flipboard account inside the briefing app. Does not help, still in Indonesian. And btw, how can you get the briefing app content to be the same as flipboard? The briefing app comes with pre-fixed categories (with only word filters) from curated content. Flipboard on the other hand, allows you to add your own feeds and these feeds definitely don't show up in the briefing app.
I just visited BestBuy again. All their S2 devices on display suffer from this issue, no exceptions. Their Samsung support guy, while surprised, couldn't do anything about it. (They have a dedicated Samsung support stand.)
On the other hand, while talking to the guy I did a couple of refreshes of my Briefing page and it suddenly switched to English. Incidentally, by that moment we had already uninstalled Flipboard app from my device. Go figure...
This problem just started happening yesterday on my S2 as well. I have temporarily turned it off, but it is pretty annoying.
I'm guessing it's a problem with Flipboard itself. Maybe they're having some issues or something? I hope this resolves soon. I kind of enjoy having something to read without opening another app.

It's fixed now. You can get an update for Flipboard from Google Play, then reboot the device.
Sent from my SM-T817V using Tapatalk
Yes, it appears to be working correctly now. I did not even have to update (or even install) Flipboard. I even did a factory reset and after the reset the Briefing screen continues to work correctly.
It appears that the problem was on the server side. I just happened to buy my tablet at the exact same time.
Glad it's sorted out.

So I doubt everyone will use every feature of the device. I just want a feel for what things people have disabled/uninstalled.
My personal list:
Everything with the world Sprint was uninstalled or disabled. Sprint ID and Sprint installer can't be disabled.

Flipboard - I use News360
Google Play Magazines - Never will buy one
hp Print Service - Never will print
Lumen Toolbar - I will never use the stock browser.

I love the stock browser
I'm sure it's good, as is Chrome, except all my bookmarks and passwords are synced with Firefox. Makes everything 100x easier to just use that.
Good list. I also disabled Google Play Books, Google+, Samsung Push Service, Gmail and Chrome. I don't use any of those.
BTW, the stock browser does not support Flash. I'm using Boat Browser.
I have the stupid Sprint ID app install the default profile randomly again resetting all my home screens. It's happened on the S 4 and the HTC One on my account.

Quick question all; so will disabling a App free up RAM (and/or improve speed & performance) or does it simply remove it from the home screen?
Thank you!
Some of those it doesn't even remove from the home screen. (Like Scout and other pre-installed things)
But mainly it's to prevent them from running background services and taking up space on the device from the updates. An update doesn't replace the original system file, so it essentially doubles the size an app takes, even more as it grows. Though Titanium Backup Pro has a feature to replace the stock app with the update.
Also curious things I disabled, like the Weather widget which doesn't even seem to have an app of its own. Just "Weather Widget"
On a slight tangent, I figured out where Com2usPoker and the Match 3 game are. Go under Group Play->Create Group->Play Games. There you will find those two games listed. The poker requires at least two people, but the Match 3 game has a single player mode.

I think Flipboard > News360, but that's just my op...
I'd agree with the rest... I don't even own and HP printer why would I need that crap is what I'm saying HP must have paid Sprint to put that crap on...
Also, given the pressure Samsung is getting about lack of storage on the device AND the notorious size of printer drivers, anybody want to bet that'll be uninstallable in a future update AND that it takes up a bunch of room?
I wondered if anyone else has noticed the sheer amount of soft dependencies that the S-apps have on each other, especially S-Voice. For example S-voice can't make a memo without S-notes and can't retrieve news without Flipboard.
Many other examples exist. S-Notes has options in the settings to sync with Samsung cloud, even if the Samsung cloud syncing apps/services are removed, even the cloud services seem to have some soft dependencies with Dropbox.
All the S-apps will of course function for the most part on their own, but might have such issues or orphan settings, something I just don't like.
A lot of TW ROMS are debloating by removing some of these apps, but I don't know if everyone realizes what I just mentioned.
Personally I would prefer just the Samsung camera, but I have heard (though not tried without) that even it is dependent on S-Voice. If this is so and if it is possible I would hope at some point to see a modded version of the Camera that makes it fully independent.

No, that is not so. I have nearly every Samsung component disabled, including S Voice, and I use the Samsung camera with no problem... maybe there's some feature in there that doesn't work that I've just never hit, but generally, the camera works fine on its own.
Voice Control of Camera, Incoming Calls, Camera and Music are all Dependant on SVoice

I tried a few hours ago, the camera freezes and crashes if you try to turn on voice commands in the camera settings. As long as this is not hit it works, but I hate that they would make the option to say "Shoot" to take a picture dependent on another app.

If they didn't do that than every app you mention would be twice the size because they would have to include the code for those options in each of the individual app.

Exactly, the S4 wasnt made for removing system apps or modifying the system. It was meant to be used the way it is out of the box which is why voice commands for music, camera, alarm and answering calls is dependant on S-Voice... easier to integrate dependancy unto another app versus integrating a sepaeare feature into every one of those lol

Ok, well, we have an interesting discrepancy here them... I just confirmed I have S Voice disabled... I then went into Camera, turned voice control on (it was off to start) and was able to take a picture by saying "Cheese"... no crash or anything, it worked as expected.
I also confirmed I can also still receive incoming calls... I don't use the music app and have it disabled so I didn't check that... so something doesn't jive with what you guys are apparently seeing. Maybe there's something else the camera specifically is dependent on and not S Voice *directly*?
For reference, here's what I currently have disabled... I think 2 or 3 of them I did through Titanium, the rest are just standard "system" disabled... I also have a few other things Greenified, but this is just what's outright disabled...

I moved the S-Voice apk out of the system folder when I tried it, I wouldn't think that it would make a difference versus freezing it though, but maybe that is possible? I didn't do a reboot when I tried, but I would think that if it had no relation to it, it shouldn't matter?
If I disable Svoice and try and take a pic with voice it force closes.

I was trying to get this to work in Aus as well. In the end I could only get it working when using the ios Google Home app. Then the "Multi user" notification popped up consistently. Just make sure you set the language and region to English US.
I can't get it to work in Sweden either. US version of Home, all languages and regions set to US but I do not get the multi user functionality on any Android or ios device... Maybe they use ip number to verify location before they enables it? All other functionality works fine.
any update on this?
No success so far.. I installed a VPN on my Dd-wrt router with a US based IP number and confirmed with IP location site that the external IP is located in US for all devices on my wifi . Then I created a new Google user on my phone (without sim card) and GPS turned off. Unlinked Google home from previous user and did initial setup of GH with the the new user. The multi user funtionality came up! Success? No.. After training it with my voice it just keeps loading and never finalize the process... Grrr. Hope someone else have better luck!
have you performed factory reset on your GH before seting up the vpn connection?
i am trying to do the same WA but had no time to setup vpn on router.
also with the new features presented during google i/o yesterday i would love to have them sooner than later
I did the factory reset on the GH after the VPN were in place. I will do a new attempt this weekend with an iPhone instead. Will report after.
No luck.. With an iPhone, USA VPN on the router and factory reset on the GH the multi user setup show up directly after initial setup. I can successfully go trough all steps including training it for my voice but afterwards it just ask me do it the same setup once again... It seems like it does not register the data correctly. I will move on. Hope someone else have better luck!
Success
Finally, I did it!
I did a lot of stuff and I'm not really sure what did the trick, but I now have multiple accounts working on my device.
First of all, I have a VPN on my access point with an American ip address.
I also did these all:
Spoofed my phone and the other phone (second account) GPS locations to one single address in the US.
Set my home address on the assistant settings to that spoofed address.
Set my time zone to that zone
Removed both phones' sim cards (and put back in at some point? I'm not sure)
Factory reset the gh, and on new setup set the address to that spoofed address (all addresses the same)
At this point, it's not a matter of Google home anymore. In your phone's Google assistant settings you shall see a new section "shared devices" right under personal info section. Use that shared devices page to add a new shared device (your gh), train your voice and done.
On the second phone, go to shared devices and add a new device. (I never got the blue multi user notification during the process)
Once finished, you can set everything to normal again. Once you did the setup it won't log you out.
Good luck

Thanks man
Great job!
I performed factory reset on my phone and after installing google home app i noticed that the shared device option showed up. After setting up gh for my user i tried to do the same on my wife's phone but no luck, shared device and other options are missing. I then declared her account on my phone but every time i switch to her account a lot of options are missing for the app like home control, shared devices etc.
Hi guys! Google is rolling out the multiuser support in the UK... without any hope I tried with mine (I live in France) and it works here too!!... go ahead and do it quickly, just in case it is just an error from their side.
yesterday i managed to setup multi-user on my wife's phone but not with google home app as it didn't showed the shared devices option but with google assistant.
steps i performed were:
- setup multi-user on my phone using google home app. i had to go into settings -> shared devices -> add GH -> setup multi-user
- on my wife's phone google home app didn't showed shared device so I started the google assistant app -> settings -> shared devices -> add GH -> setup multi-user
i didn't used any VPN or gps spoofing, the only thing is that the language needs to be set to English US or Canada
Google Home COUNTRY ID
I cannot change country ID anyway ... Any new idea how to get full features from Google Home out of the US?
Google Home Country ID
Thx you very much
My solution
You have to deny all devices to access to location for Google Home app (1.)! All your devices must be set to English US, no other one English work (2.). You will not see to blue "multi user available" but on the other devices with other account you will see blue bar with "link account". This helped me. I suppose to restart all devices after setup mentioned above.

Thanks for the tip!
I would like to add that this may only work if you uninstall the Home app on all the devices you want to pair to your Google Home speakers before you do what Petrmenzel is writing.
Here is what i did. I assume the secondary device is another person thus another voice than yourself, and not just two different of your own accounts as google cant know the difference between two accounts with the same voice profile.
Uninstall Google Home App on all devices
Change language on all devices to English (United States)
Reboot devices (not sure if this is necessary, but I did it to ensure the language was completely changed)
Reinstall Google Home App on all devices
When you open the Home App, deny the app access to location
If you did not unpair the Home speaker on your primary device it should still be paired, otherwise, pair it again.
On the secondary device(s), you should now be able to see "Link account" as a blue bar in the device list on your home speaker, click on it.
Now it should ask you to train the voice model and all that standard setup stuff, once done you should have two devices paired to the Google home device, and you can once again allow the Home app to access device location and both accounts should stay linked.
To test that this works, simply try asking your google home "Hey Google, what is my name" and afterward having the user of the secondary device ask the same question. If it correctly states your names it should be fully working.
Note that this was tested in Denmark with a US version of Google Home, a UK Version of the Google Pixel phone as primary, and a Danish version of a Samsung Galaxy A8 as secondary

Im in South Africa. I actually had an online chat with a google representative that ended up phoning me to help me out. This is what I ended up doing:
On my phone in the Google Home app I added my wife's gmail account. I then went to Account > Settings > Voice match.... Voice Match was previously unavailable for her. Did the voice training module. Then voila, she can access her account on all our Google Home devices (5 of them). I then removed her account off my phone. Simple as that.
So I finally received my Chinese version Mate 20 Pro Emerald variant and I spent the last 24 hours setting it up, now it's finally getting into a more or less stock android feeling. I decided to write a post because man, I've never spent so much effort just trying to setup a new phone.
Ordering
I ordered the phone from Huawei T Mall store on Nov. 11th. I paid about 1250 CAD through Alipay for the phone and ~ 600 RMB having my friend sending it to me via DHL. I also had to pay some import tax getting it into Canada but it's just bad luck, plus the tax really depends on how much you declare the value to be.
First Impression
I had a Oneplus 5, I like the cleanness of its ROM, it's close to stock android and I was using the Rootless Pixel 2 Launcher which makes it essentially a stock Android device. The Mate 20 Pro is a bit heavier than the Oneplus 5 and it's just slightly bigger.
I started with applying the tempered glass screen protectors I bought also from Taobao when I ordered the phone. Sadly I can't seem to get it in the right place, and it's greatly affecting the screen responsiveness and accuracy. I ended up throwing them away.
Turning it on, and I'm already having issue with the initial setup process. First of all, I was asked to create a Huawei ID. But guess what -- I live in Canada but Canada isn't an available option in the region list, somehow US is. I mean, this phone is not even available in US, why would you provide that as an option but not Canada?
I went ahead choosing US as the region. It asked for phone verification, that worked for me because US and Canada share the same country code.
After that, I uninstall a bunch of pre-installed apps -- they are mostly popular apps in China, plus a few useless utilities made by Huawei. I uninstall about 25 apps during this process.
Then I tried to restore all my apps from the old phone, first step would be getting Google Play Service working. Surprisingly Google Play Service is pre-installed. but I wasn't able to update it through the Huawei App Store, because US Huawei ID apparently is not supported. In fact I can't use any of the pre-installed Huawei apps, they are all blocked. So I deleted my account and created a Chinese one instead.
I was able to access the app store and update Google Play Service, along with Play Store. Google backup apparently didn't work. I ended up using the Huawei "Phone Clone" app to transfer all my stuff to this phone. It does the job pretty well.
Getting third party launcher working on Chinese ROM (If you have a global version then this may not apply to you)
Spent sometime getting all the apps logged in and tweaking settings, I started to look into replacing the stock launcher. But then you can't change launcher on the Chinese rom, so I did some research and here is what I did:
1. Install a third party launcher. I chose Nova Launcher here. Never used it before but Rootless Launcher kept crashing and for Rootless Pixel 2 Launcher, there is an annoying security alert saying "Google is using microphone" that kept popping up.
1. Enable developer mode
2. Enable USB Debug
3. Connect the phone to PC
4. Access ADB shell
5. uninstall stock launch: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.huawei.android.launcher
6. Reboot
A few notes on using this 3rd party launcher hack:
* I also installed the Nova companion app to have Google Feed panel access.
* You need to allow Nova companion to auto-launch in Settings -> Apps -> App Launch, otherwise rebooting the phone will make Google Feed panel disappear.
* If you select gesture navigation in system setting, swiping up from bottom may not work.
Getting Google Assistant to work
The phone has the Huawei voice assistant by default, and changing the default Assistant app to Google doesn't work. The shortcut still only bring up the Huawei voice assistant. The fix is to uninstall the app using the same process above. The package name is com.huawei.vassistant. After reboot, I was able to access Google Assistant using the home button (I still prefer three key navigation). "OK Google" doesn't work on Home screen though.
Make sure push notifications are working
I also noticed I don't receive push notifications most of the time. For example, I have Duo Mobile which is used as an authenticator at work. Having the screen on, I didn't receive the push notification. I had to launch the app manually to see the authentication request. Here is a workaround:
1. Settings -> Apps -> App Launch
2. Find the app you wish to receive push notification
3. Disable auto manage, it will ask you how you want to manage manually, choose Auto-launch and Run in Background at least
Known Issues/Todo list
Here are some of the things that I'm having issue with but haven't figured out a solution yet. Please let me know if you know a solution to any of them:
1. Google Pay Contactless does not work. This is almost a deal breaker. From what I've read, it seems to be just Chinese version doesn't work.
1. LastPass accessibility setting gets reverted to off randomly. This seems to related to when I close all apps using the trashcan button on recent apps screen.
2. Default Assistant app setting mysteriously gets reset to None. Still don't understand why.
3. Text in the notification just look so bad. Also not sure how to tweak that.
4. The security alert for app using microphone keeps popping up in Google Assist and Google Feed. I'm not sure how I should feel about that...
Things I like about this device
1. Chinese version supported dual SIM. I believe the global version does not.
2. photos in low lights are awesome.
3. charging is super fast! I also got the wireless charging thing.
4. I'm happy with its battery performance so far.
5. It's a faster device overall. The games I play run smoother on this phone comparing to Oneplus 5. I understand OP5 is an older phone but that's the only reference point I got.
That's what I had so far. I'm also keeping an eye on the progress of FunkyHuawei Mate 20 Pro support -- I'm looking forward to flash the global version ROM hoping it has better google integration and less chinese-oriented useless "features".
Hope it helps!

Does the device show as being certified in the Google Play Store? If not, this would probably explain why contactless via GP doesn't work

Hmmm interesting... is there an error message or such that might indicate why GPay doesn't work?

when attempting to enable contactless, the following messages appear in order:
contacting your bank...
your bank is verifying your card...
added feature cannot be setup. contact your bank to resolve this issue.
I called the bank and they said they didn't get the request so they don't know what error it is.
I contacted Google and haven't got a response.
Did you already have the card in your GPay wallet, and were re-verifying, or did you add it from scratch? Guessing it may not make a difference though.

I had the card in the wallet for a long time. Used it with my old phone without issue.
Does it support Band 66? Thanks

I was in China last week and almost bought the Mate 20 Pro. After reading many reviews I decided to not buy the Chinese Version and pay a little more to get the Google version from Hong Kong
Any updates?
Were you able to find any way to get LastPass working properly?
Accessibility features keep resetting for me right away.

The LYA-AL00 with 6 GM RAM and 128 GB storage has no fingerprint sensor. It only uses face, pattern, and password unlock.
so, i've tried a lot of methods and seems like the best i can do is logging into google play store, but not youtube and other google apps?
couldn't sign in
there was a problem communicating with google servers.
try again later.
need some guidance here, how do i get everything to work?
i found out that there's a bug for data vs wifi - you need to connect to wifi in order to sign in.

I can confirm this, apps like "Google", "Voice Search" and "Assistant" time out with errors when using data on T-Mobile, but it works on wifi. I can't navigate to a street using assistant over 4G, but if I go directly into the Maps app and use the microphone icon in Maps it works correctly.
Does anyone know if there's a fix for this?

is it just for Tmobile or google services don't work on any mobile data?
Go to Apps & Notifications > Google services
Same issue
I am having similar issues. But, at one point google play store was stuck on loading. Also, gmail wasnt sending or receiving emails.
The problem comes and goes. Like, just now, I couldn't load any YouTube videos.
When I connect on WiFi, all the problems go away and switching back to mobile data. Works for a bit.
It is also only Google services. Twitter, WhatsApp, chrome, all fine.
@op, what sim card slot are you using?
Got it to work.
Go to System -> Applications -> Google Services
And turn on "Allow to use Mobile Data"

If you go to Settings -> Applications -> See all ### Apps -> [scroll to and tap on Outlook app] -> Data Usage -> [turn on "Background Data", and "Unrestricted Data Usage" options]
Tell me if that works. I did this step for apps: Calendar [google version from Play Store], Carrier Services [from Play Store] Gmail, Google, Google Play, Google Play Services, Google Play Store, Google Services Framework, Hangouts.
I gave them all unrestricted data access and full permissions just to be safe. It's not like there's a risk of running out of battery on this phone, lol!
edit: I am on the China rom version and I see these settings.

I flashed into the WW version. So, all my little issues went away.
My instructions was for Google services.
Have your tried to go to battery optimisation and turning off optimisation for Outlook?
Also, there might be something under mobile manager to turn off as well?
Hi! I specifically made an account to reply, or rather, to reconfirm, that issues about this topic still persists in my phone.
Bought the Tencent Edition of the ROG Phone 2 few days back, I first encounter this issue yesterday when I open my Maps app and the map didn't load (grey screen) and at that time I was using my mobile data. Searched the net how to fix it, and did a few tweaks (mainly clearing cache, data and removing google account) and thankfully the map loads. However, another issue arises, I can't use Google app, Play Store and can't login on Google Maps. When I try to log in my account, I get the "There was a problem communicating with Google servers", and I assume most of you guys here had that exact problem.
I tried everything that almost every forums recommends. Starting from rebooting the phone, uninstalling updates from Google Play Store, clear the cache and storage of Google Play services and Google Play Store again, checked if my Apps & notifications/Google Services is on, turned on all notifications; permissions; background data and unrestricted data usage on all corresponding Google apps and services (Carrier Services, Google app, Google Play services, Google Play Store, Maps) and turned off battery optimization for the mentioned apps. Not any of the above worked for me, the only thing that resolves it is when I used Wifi to log in.
I know that this may be a minor issue and I know that I won't feel any of it hindering my daily phone usage. But I'm really bothered by the fact that something in my phone doesn't work normally as it should. I have been using Samsung phones for the longest time and haven't experienced such problems before. Is this really a bug and can't be fixed till who knows when, or is there something that I overlooked? Thanks much and sorry for the lenghty post. Blessings
cn version has this issue
fixed with ww rom
cn version is destinated to oriental market especcially
Thanks much for the help!
I don't have any experience in modding ROM, but I did find a guide here on how to do that. I'll think about whether I'm gonna try flashing my ROM or not, because... flashing ROMs will void the phone's warranty, yes?

If you bought a phone that was meant for the Chinese market in another country, you never really had a legit warranty right to begin with. (at least not with Asus, maybe with the seller if they have such policies)
Chinese ROMs have all Google services blocked. (Google services are banned in China). So you need to flash to WW ROM, sometimes seller will do it when they sell a Chinese phone to a different market, but apparently not in your case.

That makes sense lol.
Alright, I'll try flash my ROM later. Any noob-friendly guide you can recommend to me? Other than the guide by AryanAA.
And um, I know I can probably learn this if I searched for it, but does flashing your ROM resets/wipes your whole phone? And is there any major changes I should know (like maybe I won't be able to use some features ever again)? And is it kinda similar to rooting your phone?
Sorry for the noob questions, any help is much appreciated. Tqvm!

Hi was your issue fixed? I'm having same issues on Rog Phone 2, YouTube, Gmail, Google drive won't load with 3h/4g, they only load with WiFi. Have you for a fix ? Please reply
Hi guys, coming back to the forums after a long hiatus!
I have this issue also... Gapps don't work great on mobile data but perfect on WiFi... Some are fixed after clearing data but some are persistently bad such as gdrive which is important to me...
My phone is from ebay, its a tencent with a global rom and I'm in the UK...
Looking at my device info, it looks like my phone has a WW rom but a CN fingerprint... I will have the fingerprint changed today, update to 1910 and drop an update...
