Hi all,
I was hoping someone could help me diagnose the problem with my n7000. The phone will not turn however when I try and turn the phone on and leave it, it gets warm like it is on. When I connect the phone to my computer, my computer makes a jingle like a device is connected but it never appears as a device I can explore.
I am guessing the phone is hard locked? Would a jigg work or could anyone advise me on next steps or is the phone don for?
I have tried the volume up, power etc to no avail. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hey guys,
Yesterday I ran RUU to update my phone. After it finished upgrading, I haven't been able to turn it on. My phone has S-OFF and had recovery on it.
i've tried going into recovery (via volume down + power), and have not been able to get into the hboot menu. I've taken off the battery, etc. tried a lot of things, but the phone just will not turn on.
I searched, and some people mentioned the SLCD problem, but the thing is that my phone isn't even recognized.
Any help here plz!
Ed
Also, when I say it doesn't turn on, I don't mean by bootlooping at HTC screen. i mean that the computer is like 100% dead, screen doesn't turn on, no nothing. PC doesn't detect it. I've also tried making it go into HBOOT thinking it's SLCD problem, and seeing if my PC can detect it...but it can't
I have read in other forums that leaving it for a few hours may help
As in leaving it overnight, and coming back to it the next morning
Maybe leave the battery out for a few hours, see if it helps
Not saying it will definitely work, just a suggestion
Could this be what happened?

Hi guys,
I've been having quite a problem with my HTC One. Sometimes it just turns off. But it doesnt just turn off, its completely useless after that. I can not start it again after the screen turns black. I always have to connect it to a charger and press the power button and disconnect it again and try turning it on for ages until it starts up again. Besides from that everything works perfectly.. I was really hoping u could help me... Thanks in advance
Basic info is needed-
Device model
Rom
Kernal
Mods(underclock, overclock, voltage changes)
Anything done shortly prior to the symptoms...........
Well I have a german o2 branded Htc One 32 (no dev Edition). It is still on stock, not rooted and bootloader unlocked. I actually did NOTHING special to the phone I installed normal apps( a few games and navigation software and such) and synched music on it so nothing that could provoke such an error

Do you even tried to re-flash the firmware? Try to flash the stock firmware again.

By stating that simple sentence none of us could determine the exact cause. Maybe you've did something wrong during the connecting of your phone to your PC.
In order to make sure your phone is connected to PC, make sure you first hold the volume down button, and then while holding, connect the usb cable to your phone. Then this will make your phone properly connected as flashmode.

I suggest for you to try this one unique method used by adfad666, a developer.
He tried to boot into flashmode, by holding the volume button and the yellow reset button.
If that fails, another person successfully made it by plugging the phone in while on flashmode and then press the volume button down.
If that fails again, another person made it too by actually charging it for the whole night. He then could connect his phone in flashmode. Does your LED bar ever lights up when you connect your charger? This might work for you
Another person tried so much (trial and error) until the phone is recognised.
PS Its fascinating and scary that hard bricks can be recovered mostly by luck

Yellow reset button is a force reboot button located in the backside of your phone, underneath the battery cover. It is intended fore reboots when a device is freezing. But yea a guy use it for recovering from hard brick. He has experience with hardbricks caused by kernel (lol because he builds kernels!) by using that yellow dude on the phone. This however require many trial and errors, as it is quite complicated to actually achieve flashmode connection using the yellow button compared to the normal procedures. However, chances are you may succeed.
I would like to have a look at the resource you used to modify your hosts file, if you please to share.

turns out what you did is completely different from what I intended. Well it seemed that your phone is stuck somehow. In a normal shutdown, when you press that yellow button, it won't start at all (yes I did that an hour ago before suggesting you that. Since it fails, I didn't tell you about it). Maybe this will make some hard bricks recoverable? I don't know either. This is a really strange world.
Okay wondering aside, congratulations that your Xperia SP is recovered from a hard brick! :fingers-crossed: It happens rarely, sometimes simple things can fix it.
No this phone isn't bad. I did so many dangerous things and haven't yet face any hard bricking (I am not quite happy you know, it seems like the hard brick is getting closer to me!). Well there is no firmware updates from Sony that is. However I don't really care about that, since I hate bloated stock ROMs anyway. And personally I don't really care if we are doomed to stuck on 4.4. But I do wish 5 or Lollipop could run on this first Android device of mine.
Hi Everyone,
I was hoping someone would be able to help me with this as I've been at it for hours and I still can't do anything.
Basically at this point I think my phone is stuck in a reboot, what happens is when I open the phone the LG logo pops up, after that the T-Mobile 4G LTE screen with the white background shows up and the phone basically either gets stuck on that screen until the charging is finished or reboots every hour or so. I don't understand whats going on I've never touched the phones files and I've never rooted etc. I've also tried to hard reset but its the same problem. I found a ROM for this phone (original from TMobile) and I was planning on trying to install that and hopefully getting it to work but for that I need to be able to get into download mode, whenever I hold the volume up button and plug the cable in it goes straight to charging and my laptop says USB Charge only Interface (tried all 4 ports), I've also installed the LG United Mobile Driver but to no avail. Since my laptop is not recognizing that my phone is plugged in other than a simple sound and the laptop charging the phone I don't know how else I can get the phone to work because I cant access developer options either for the phone because of the reboot / stuck problem.
Does ANYONE have a fix for the problem? I don't want to go out and buy another phone because I really like this phone. I hope there's a fix. Thank you.
Ive come back to this issue and I still haven't found a solution, I'd be forever grateful if anyone has!
Hey can any you help at all?
My P20 mate lite suddenly went unresponsive, plug it on charge no charging lights shows up, Even on the screen it doesn't say charging. Ive Tried turning the phone on/off no luck, tried rebooting it into safe mode, but for some reason it seems like the buttons have stopped working, therefore I cannot clear the phones cache.. Is there anyway I may be able to bring the phone back alive..
If I plug into the pc it makes the connected noise on the PC but nothing shows up on the pc or phone.. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you
Maybe you can try with HiSuite on PC
