Hello,
First post ever here.
I finally switch from an Iphone to an Android (Z3 Compact) and so far I'm loving it!
I only have one issue that is a bit frustrating.
The phone I brought is Bell locked and my sim is Virgin Mobile, and everything works (including data) EXCEPT MMS.
I tried using the Virgin APN settings from several sites and still not luck.
Could it be something else than the APN? Or is my phone incompatible?
Sorry if its a stupid question, I am still an Android noob
Also excuse my english, it is my second language.
Any help would be appreciated

Hey XDA users!
I have got a problem with my X1. I recently bought that mobile and tried to change firmware. Here is some basic information:
Sony Ericsson X1
originally branded by T-Mobile (DE)
without SIM-LOCK
I have used the T-Mobile-branded X1 with my Vodafone-SIM for about a week. I had no problems.
Then I decided to "install" firmware X1i_VFE_DE_CDF1215-0292_R2AA010 on it because I want to use some special features by Vodafone and hoped that they were included in that branded firmware. I carefully read this tutorial (link) and everything was fine. The "installation" was completed successfully.
But when I put the SIM card in it, my X1 is searching for a network operator (Vodafone DE) on and on without a result. I can neither call somebody nor use the internet.
I tried several other firmwares (non-branded too) but it's always the same: no network operator
I also tried my SIM in another mobile at the same place. It works perfectly well.
As I did not find anything via search function, please help me
UnixNator
maybe htc phones don't work with rather old sim cards
try getting a newer replacement

Why would it work here? I guess it's something software-based
I have the same problem but live in Sweden.
Does anyone know what could be wrong?
More data can be given, just ask what you want to know!
First of all, I`d like to state that this is a very well oragnised comunity, I read most of the things about the subject I was interested in, but I couldn`t find an answer to satisfy me, so I opened this thread hoping someone will clear things and maybe help me. All support is appreciated. Those being said. I recently bought a new MDA Compact V from T-Mobile UK, the phone is unlocked, just inserted O2 & other sim cards and they work without a flow. I alse saw that "noob video" and I am something beneath the "noob" statement heh, and NOT interested in switching the existing OS on my phone. The exact problem is that I can`t acces the web through other operators, except T-mobile. I`ve done many settings, even went to T-mobile, they told me this feature is locked to their network, and I have to reinstall the windows or something like it. I can browse with no problems through wi-fi, but with the packed data from the operator NO. Can someone please give me some advices regarding this issue. Awaiting your answers. Thx in advance.
Hello Everyone,
Here's my problem, I managed to unlock the phone by rooting it and then using terminal emulator.
Call and text works fine but the mobile data don't go above GSM (not even EDGE) which basically means I can't use any apps that requires connection.
Did anyone have that problem?
I live abroad (Europe) does it matters?
Please can someone help?

More information......
What provider are you using in Europe? Have you gone through the unlocking process for not only GSM use but also international(they aren't the same)? Why would you buy a SPRINT phone for use in Europe??? An ATT ONE would have been a much better choice for use abroad. Or with one....snicker,snicker
I'm using NRJmobile.
As for the process I went through, its the one described in this guide and then the configuration for the APN but apparantly not the second one you were taking about.

I'm a noob regarding this so try to do the best I can following different guide but now I'm stuck.
Why did I chose Sprint? Because I didn't do enough research before buying (I had a good deal on ebay and I took it). Looking back on it that was stupid of me.
Can you tell me about that international unlock?
Greetings,
I just bought a Galaxy Note 3 N9005 by ebay. It seems to be from France, EU. I'm from Mexico and I'm using Movistar.
Before I bought this phone, I read about edge, H, 3G and 4G compatibility, and everything was ok with its specifications.
Once I got the phone, I inserted my SIM and it auto-configure the phone, and I could call my friends, connect via wi-fi, send message, etc... the only problem I found was that I couldn't connect by data mobile, I checked the APN settings and it was ok. I did a factory data reset and it didn't change.
I have been reading a lot here and I found that this could be because EU restriction, but everywhere I read this, it seems like any functionality works when it's the case. I also saw that this could be solve rooting my phone and installing a ROM.
This phone was factory unclocked, without carrier and inside its box with the label from france.
could someone help me with this, is this normal o I need to return my phone and change it?
Thanks.
If I missed some information, please let me know.
I'm sorry if there was a topic related with this, I looked up for it and I didn't find it.

This section is for the AT&T version as known as the SM-900A. Yours is not the AT&T version so please ask your question in the regular N3 section.

Hello all, i have a question. I live in Italy, but my One m7 have the 4T.28.3218.04_10.33E.1718.01L baseband. AFAIK this baseband is for T-Mobile devices, but T-Mobile is not available in Italy. I know that WWE versions of basebands starts with 4A. So, there is a difference between these two vesrions? I'm asking for this because i have some issues with my device. Sometimes mobile data doesn't work, it seems that the phone sends requests but cannot receive any answer, so nothing works (internet, instant messaging, etc..) but phone calling works. If i turn off mobile data for some seconds, then i turn on again, all works but for a couple of minutes, then it hangs again. Could be this problem related to "wrong" baseband?
Thanks for your attention and sorry for my bad english, hope you can understand my problem.
Hey,
I would like to know about that difference too I can't find the last WWE Baseband, and mine start with a "4T" wich is related to T-mobile.
I would like to find the wwe one I guess it could help for a better phone network, but I'm not sure this difference of letter has a real meaning.
