Ok,I don't know how complex it is right now but I can't install the xposed installer. It gives me an error saying out of space with options to close and manage apps.I have over 500mb free so none of them help.I've run xposed modules before so it started just recently.please help and I'd be happy to provide any more information. Thanks in advance!!
Your System partition is out of space trying deleting some apps from \system\priv-app or \system\app.
please be careful tho as if you delete the wrong thing you can kinda screw it up and you'll have to reflash your ROM.

I'm trying to install a certain .apk file. and it keeps showing me "application not installed".
I've tried it on stock, and it installs.
After checking logcat this is what it says:
D/PackageManager( 1399): Scanning package com.abcdef.android.abcdef.abcdef.apk
W/PackageManager( 1399): Cannot install platform packages to user storage
W/PackageManager( 1399): Package couldn't be installed in /data/app/com.abcdef.android.abcdef.abcdef.apk
How can i fix this.
Thanks.
Which is your default install location? It might be causing problems

I tried checking it, and tried all locations.
still, the same problem...
How do i fix it?!
One more thing!
I realised that all other apk install properly, only apps that are supposed to be installed to internal storage (data\app) dont install properly.
Internal apps installing using android commander, check the install as system app box. The traditional root explorer thing can also be done.

But those apps don't need to be copied to system \app.
They are normal apps like UOT Themes and stuff.
Did you try adb to install? Check if that works.
The problem is that these are normal apk's.
because of this issue, i have to start from scratch.

When you say normal apk, does that refer to stock apk?
Like Themes, and games and all types of apk that are supposed to be installed on internal, (data\app) can't get installed.
Are you using multiple sd-ext scripts?
nope. not partitioned.
Actually it works on other roms, just issue wid mine.
That's why i decided to start from scratch.
OK. Then use spare parts apk and check the compatibility mode box.It might help.

Nope. Didn't work.
I'm just gonna switch the base over to unnoficial.
Okay. Good Luck with the ROM. Hoping to see more features in V2 :good:
Thanks..
Problem is official cm apps don't work on unofficial. So i have to compile all modded apps again.
I have a Bionic on 4.0.4 ICS and am running CM10 (I think, I don't remember and I just got my computer back from Geek Squad and they deleted my entire 'ROOT' folder... thanks Best Buy). Anyway, I keep running into a problem when trying to download new apps from the Play Store or updating existing apps, I get a notice saying "Insufficient Storage Space) and thus cannot install the app or update. When I go look at the storage on my phone, it shows that I have 2.97GB available, so I'm failing to see where there isn't enough room to download a 21MB update. Anyone know what is going on here? I've tried wiping Cache and Dalvik and it doesn't seem to do anything for this issue, if that matters.
Also, I just ran into this right after I posted this, but I downloaded a cycling app called Strava, and it downloaded and installed successfully (even when other apps wouldn't) but when I try to launch the app, I get a notification saying, "Your device does not seem to support Google Play Services." WTF? I just downloaded this app FROM the Play Store! WTF is the story here?!

There is a file called "lost.dir" takes up a lot of space and doesn't do anything .try deleting that and see if that helps
Sent from my Icarus Bionic
Thanks for the reply. I did that but it didn't help.

If you've used lucky patcher, this problem will arise... try deleting odex file of the application you are trying to update... in root / data / app and you are done..

I have looked everywhere for a fix, tried just about everything. I got rid of lucky patcher before I seen this, now I can't even download it again without it saying the error message. Any thoughts? I reeeally don't wanna do a factory reset and re download all my apps and have it not work

Thank you so my friend
I am unable to install Greenify donation pack - it went corrupt today - dont know how - I keep getting an error message post download from play store - "cannot install on SD card or USB storage". I have done a factory reset but it doesn't help - the problem still exists. Also, I read this post but I cannot locate either the .android_secure on my phone or the said file smdl2tmp1.asec through ES file explorer. Please help!!
I finally solved the issue by re-installing the rom. I downgraded to Sense 5.5 with nandroid, unrooted, re-applied the Sense 6 OTA, did a factory reset wiping internal storage. Voila! I can now install Greenify donation!
PS: The issue was with all the paid apps, so definately something was wrong with my phone only and not Greenify. Relief!
See solution below.
First the problem:
-------------
I have Xposed installed in CM11 on my moto razr M. All was working fine, as far as I could tell.
Recently, I ran out of space for apps.
I think that while space was low I did try to install an Xposed module. I did install link2sd (to free space), but it wasn't activated, because I don't have a second partition. I uninstalled it.
I removed some apps, so that now space for apps is available again.
However, in Xposed, when I try to download and install a module, the installer is started, but then I get the
error dialog "Out of space - [module name] couldn't be installed. Free up some space and try again. [cancel] [manage apps]"
I have 840MB out of 1.4GB available on /system, 1.6GB of 4.6GB on /data (which also is the emulated sdcard)
I can't see any suspicious messages in the Xposed log, and I don't know what to look for in the system log.
I tried to uninstall and reinstall Xposed, I uninstalled all modules I didn't need. But, the error message persists.
-----------
It turns out that when I installed and tried link2sd, I played with the setting "native app2sd settings"->install location. I set it to "external" instead of "automatic". When I set it back to "automatic" my problems stopped.
:silly:

You have to give Storage permission to Package installer.
