periodically and at random, Google Now will turn on, E.G. My phone will be on the counter, TV playing in the background and out of the blue 'Now' turns on and tries to search, or phone will be resting in car side door holder, radio on in background and every once in a while google now will turn on and try do a search. None of the background noise sounds anything like "ok google!"
Would like to know if anyone else is experiencing this issue and /or knows of a fix
thanks
I haven't had it happen, but I would just re-train the phrase to your voice and see if it helps. I trained mine to respond to "OK Nexus" and I haven't had any issues.
When I want to use "ok google" voice command on my LG Urbane 1st gen my Nexus 5X listens to the command and wakes up. It doesn't have any problem with duplicated voice commands because the smartphone does not listen at all, but it's really disturbing because the screen goes on and sometimes does not turn off.
I remember when I had a Moto 360 with a Moto X, whenever I turned on the Moto 360 screen the Moto Voice commands and Google Voice commands would turn off automatically.
I don't know if it is a feature of the Moto 360 or if Google changed the behavior of the app.
Do anyone know how to make the always listening commands turn off when the smartwatch screen is on?
If you use Google voice and have it setup to to ask if you want to use Google voice everytime you make a call the proximity sensor that shuts the screen off when you have phone up to your ear wont work. :/
I like using Bixby, but i dont have voice activate on. I use the button. What i would like is use a voice command to turn on voice activation
So i have a routine called Driving. So i push the button for bixby, and i say driving. Then it turns on voice commands for bixby for hands free.
On my previous phones, when I'd use "ok google" or "hey google," it would make a kind of "badoop" sound or whatever. When I use the hotword with my pixel 5, however, it's pure silence. Is there any way to turn that sound back on?
I would also like to know.
