While no one made a thread about this topic or even asked around and no app can backup its stuff, then I thought it will be better to post such a solution to what is apparently a missing feature/option of SuperSU app, I actually wrote a reply on SuperSU thread talking about it. Anyway, this thread is for users who ever wonder how to get around it and stop re-authenticate every app all over again and maybe they forget to give permission to a startup important tools (e.g. SElinuxModeChanger) so here we go.
NOTE: I only tried it for SuperSU v2.46, maybe it works for other versions, and it's important to do the process within the same version.
1- Go to SuperSU settings and uncheck "Re-authentication" (very important!).
2- Open up a file explorer that supports root permissions (e.g. ES File Explorer) and grant it the permissions (make sure you see a toast notification confirmed that, otherwise you can't continue).
3- Go to /data/data/eu.chainfire.supersu/shared_prefs folder.
*You see the file eu.chainfire.supersu_preferences.xml, it contains values of certain configuration or important info of SuperSU like any other app has the file end with "_preferences.xml", let's go back.
4- Take a copy of that file eu.chainfire.supersu_preferences.xml
5- Re-install SuperSU and make sure it's installed correctly with "su binary" to work properly.
6- Open up your file explorer and grant it root permissions.
7- Go to the same folder /data/data/eu.chainfire.supersu/shared_prefs and replace the new file with the one you kept.
8- Go to SuperSU app info screen in system settings and click on "Force stop".
9- Then open it, now you see the same list of apps (without their icons because they aren't installed yet, so once they are, they don't need to ask for root again) and have the same settings configuration.
That's it.
And I hope @chainfire add an option for all that just with one click.
Note for moderators: this is my first thread, I don't know where else to put it, so I apologize in advance.
Thanks @GoldOwner for this helpful tutorial, I also hope that @Chainfire can add option to backup/restore settings, or allow Titanium Backup to do it...

It's still working with SuperSu v2.46 but not the latest version, would like to reconfirm, whether should the user change the permission of the backup eu.chainfire.supersu_preferences.xml or just remains as rw--rw--rw?
Thanks!
Been trying to find this gem of a post for an hour! Thanks! This really bugs me, why don't they have this option in the 1st place? Also why is it not possible for titanium backup to back this up.

The backup still works, but the restoration tutorial for newer SuperSU is different, basically you just need to copy the text from the backed up "eu.chainfire.supersu_preferences.xml" to the newly created "eu.chainfire.supersu_preferences.xml".
To do that open the backed up "eu.chainfire.supersu_preferences.xml" thru a Text Editor, Solid Explorer has one, and copy the whole content. Go to the newly created "eu.chainfire.supersu_preferences.xml", which is created once you open the reinstalled SuperSU, and overwrite its contents. Force close SuperSU and open it again. Backup restored.
@alazizie - heads up, worked for SuperSU v2.79, Kitkat v4.4.2

First of all thank you, been looking for this and this was a crucial step in what I am trying to acomplish.
I have a question to take this one step further. How do I back this "eu.chainfire.supersu_preferences.xm" up in such a way, that SuperSu retains these settings after a factory reset.
I have already installed SuperSu as a system app, so that install it installs automatically during factory reset, and retains root.
A suggestion would be to somehow let SuperSu save it's settings in the system partition instead of the data. Is this possible?
Some background info: I am trying to get a anti-theft app (cerberus) to work properly after factory reset. All works exxcept for the little snafu that SuperSu popsup asking to grant permission to the Anti theft app. A thief could potentially spot it and the chances for catching him would be less. All this assuming the device wont be reflashed.
Is there any option out there, that will retain the "eu.chainfire.supersu_preferences.xml" after factory reset?

I used Option 30 in FirstAide : "Install Lock Screen and Disable The Original Lock Screen" which installed No Lock and Magic Locker
How do I uninstall them and reactivate the original lock screen? They don't respond to the usual long press option and don't appear in Android Assistant's uninstall tool or in Uninstaller.
The device is being sent back so I need to sort this out.
Option 22 Unroot the Kindle did not remove Magic Locker/Unlocker.
A factory reset left the 'No Lock' icon on the carousel but removed the Magic Locker icon.
I rooted it again, but a long press still would not remove either No Lock.
I used Option 30 to install the magic locker again in the hope that after installation, it might be removed in the conventional way - it didn't. Another Option 22 to unroot did not remove either of them.
I need to get these apps removed so I can send it back so can anyone help please. I'm willing to manually search for and delete the app files if need be, but I don't know where they are or what they're called.
If you have root now, install a root browser of some sort like Root Browser Lite. then look in the system/app folder for the no lock app and delete it if it is there. It may have a slightly different name but look for the icon.
There is also a Q&A section for questions like these.
Ok, root you kindle fire hd again. Check to see if you have superuser intsalled, and the SU file in the xbin folder in system folder. After its rooted, use your file explorer to get into system/app. Delete the magiclocker, and No Lock. Magiclocker will look like"com.(something i forgot) " and no lock too. Before deleting those, open no lock to make sure locking IS enabled. Then go to data/app and delete them from that folder too. After deleting both of those, you can reboot your kindle, and the regular lockscreen will show up. And try this way of unrooting: Go into system/app, delete all things you added in there, like (google play, vending.apk, googleservicesframework.etc, launchers) and go into data/app and do the same. Then reboot again. There should be no googgle play or launchers. Check again to see if there is nothing you added in there again. Then you should go into system/xbin and find the SU file. Delete that, AND DO NOT REBOOT YET. Go into apps, edlete things you downloaded from Gplay for absolute cleansiness, and after that uninstall the app superuser. Then reboot, and then click restore to factory defaults to bring it back to stock.
Thanks for your help (I couldn't find any Q&A on this but I am in a it of a panic as its being picked up tomorrow and I go to work shortly)
I have managed to get rid of googleservicesframework and vending but cannot find GPlay or similar. Google Play isn't listed in the apps.... has it gone or is it hiding somewhere?
Also, how do I "uninstall the app superuser"? SuperSU is listed in the apps but a long press doesn't uninstall it. Will deleting the apk file uninstall it. (Don't want to delete it without being sure because I may need it if the app isn't unistalled)
If an app is the system/app folder, then if you delete it and restart the kindle it will be removed. So I think superSU might be in there
But obviously removing superSU is the last app you should be removing, because then your root wont be working properly and you wont be able to get back into the system folder

yes, I recognised that, which is why I was worried I was looking in the wrong place.
anyway, it looks ok, no sign of the 'wrong' apps being there as far as I can tell anyway. Got to go to work now so it'll have to do.
thanks, and kudos to all
Guys, previously i have no problem delete any stock apps using root explorer/fx explorer.
But since i updated to lollipop and install back root explorer, it seems like something has changed.
Previously i just need to go system > app > then it will appear full list of item installed on my phone.
Now when i entering it showing list of folder only, in the folder it just an apk only...
Please help...Thank you
Yeah, its normal, nothing to be stressed about.
You can just delete those folders.
Btw the stock apps are not only in system/apps
But also priv-apps
Hope this helps
Thanks for the suggestion.
But im wondering delete the folder doesnt mean it uninstall the apps right ?
Also, previously unsintall any apk doesnt required reboot, but now it need to reboot only it take affect.
I had my phone rooted and all working fine on Nougat. I then tried installing secure settings for Tasker and since around this time, i've lost root and if i try flashing super su in TWRP, each time i boot and check i'm not rooted. If i open Super Su app it tells me that the framework needs to be updated and to reboot, i do this and it just keeps telling me the same.
The only thing i am thinking may have broken this is i found a guide to get Secure Settings working on nougat where someone suggested creating a folder with root file explorer called 'su' in system/bin. Now when i open up Titanium Backup it tells me it could not acquire root and say the attempt was made using the "/system/bin/su" command which im thinking means it's looking somewhere there is an empty folder?
I cant now of course delete the system/bin/su folder i created as i cant enable root in File Explorer so i'm pretty stuck and not sure what i can do. I've tried the cleanup and full unroot in the supersu app and then flashing supersu in twrp again but still says no root when i check
Any suggestions?

This post was a bit more informative than your "my device unrooted itself" post in the stable thread.
Dirty flash your system or use the file manager in TWRP to remove the offending folder.
I was thinking of trying that but fixed it a different way as I just posted in the SuperSU thread. But in case anyone else ever has this problem...
I fixed my issue. By disabling SuperSU and enabling again from the app settings and it gave me root. I then deleted a created su folder in system/bin that I manually created earlier when trying to get secure settings working.
So I recently searched and searched and followed many guides but nothing worked.
Although, I just replaced a few steps and got everything working.
Can even install Snapchat after Xposed.
Requires just a PC/Laptop/Mac
and of course your phone of choice.
Step 1: Download BlueStacks 2 Latest
Step 2: Download B.S Helper
Step 3: Install BlueStacks
Step 4: Install SnapChat on BlueStacks
Step 5: Login on BlueStacks SnapChat
Step 6: Open BS Helper and "Click Patch For Super X"
Step 7: Backup Snapchat with Titanium Backup
Step 8: Transfer Backup to Phone
Step 9: Restore Backup
Step 10: Enjoy!
Hope this helps someone who needs it before they hassle with uninstalling and reinstalling Roms/Xposed/Snap and all the other various things I wasted hours on!
After my 10 posts are up I will update with links
Nice.
Once Snapchat is backed up with TiBu one should never have any problems after that.
I first backed up Snapchat in 2013. To this day I have never had to worry about logins. App has been restored, updated (to match Snapprefs mostly), backed up again (of course), and run on a slew of ROMs from JellyBean to Nougat.
Actually I don't have a clue as to what my login is. Backup is key.
LG G3 D851, SlimSaber LP ROM, MultiROM, Tapatalk 4.9.5
I recent upgraded phone's and restore from the TiBu still would not let me in. I'm thinking the backup version I used was from a too old of version.
I am using a systemless root + xposed on my phone. I was able to just overwrite the boot partition in twrp ( unroot ), login to snapchat, and restore the boot partition with the rooted version. It only takes about 2 minutes, assuming you make a backup of the boot partition from before you rooted.
@gustden, pretty good tip. Saved. Just in case my luck runs out.
There is one other thing. Not sure if it applies to Snapchat in particular, I always use the same device ID on all ROMs. Actually carried over from my old Samsung from a couple of years ago.
Some app data is tied to the device used when a backup was made. The Line app for instance. Long time ago I ran it on a ROM where I forgot to change the ID. Line detected a new device and gave me the hardest time. It even "threatened" to remove all existing data/chats/messages. I got it squared away after awhile but it was close.
I multiboot and run multiple ROMs and did not want that to happen on each.
But anyway, I wonder if Snapchat is somewhat similar. Restoring a backup on a new ROM but still having issues with logins.
I guess I can test that and see what happens.

Personal opinion - Magisk v11.1 with Systemless Xposed installed. All I have to do is toggle Xposed's switch, reboot, login to Snapchat, toggle Xposed on, then reboot. Takes about 3 minutes tops.
Thanks!
Wow thanks! You have no idea how many methods I tried trying to get snapchat to work before finding your solution.
WHAT IS B.S Helper??Please 1 downl. ink?
So, I just tried this.... AND IT WORKS!
Here's the links since OP can't post any:
Bluestacks DL (windows)
Bluestacks tweaker root tool 2 (DL is in the youtube description)
Now, what I did is copy the titanium backup using FX File Explorer to my Google drive, then transfered the files from Drive to my phone.
Perfect! Thanks for the solution mate!
I followed original post, with some difficulty because BS Helper was a chore to find, but am wondering where the TiBu of Snapchat on Bluestacks is stored so I can transfer ans restore it on my phone.
Thanks!

Hey, I was in your position and used multiple methods from above to get it to work.
After backing up and getting root on the virtual thing, download fx file manager (or any) and go to sdcard/titaniumbackup and copy all three things for Snapchat from there.
After that, go to system/bstsharedfiles or something like that and paste it in there. Sorry I got the name incorrect, I'll correct it in the morning. After that, go to the drive you installed BlueStacks to, and open programdata (only visible if you show hidden files), then you go to Bluestacks, then shared folder, then userdata, and then copy the backup files and transfer them in whichever way you prefer. I personally used Google drive and then used a file manager to take them from my downloads to the titaniumbackup folder in my sdcard directory, which then enables me to just open the app and restore.
I hope I helped, sorry if I got any information incorrect, it's quite late where I am and I'm not on my PC. Best of luck!

09. copy Titanium Backup backup files of Snapchat to PC
- copy them with ES File Explorer from folder TitaniumBackup to sdcard\windows\BstSharedFolder

10. paste the files in your phone in folder TitaniumBackup (created by the program after its first run)
11. restore backup (SnapChat will be at the bottom of the list)
And thank you very much Reghar! I'm lucky I found this thread before trying very hard with Xposed or other various methods that would sweat me out probably. Although I want to try Xposed for other purposes one day. Do you know, will it ruin my currently working SnapChat after I flash it? And if so, I suppose restoring it from Titanium Backup again would solve the problem? Hmm?

I tried this method and it resulted in Snapchat crashing immediately whenever I try to launch it. Now I unrooted my phone and uninstalled Xposed and Snapchat still won't let me log in.
Thank you very much, OP. Works like charm. Maybe you should expand the part about transfering the backup done with Titanium Backup on the PC side with BlueStacks to the phone since I had to dig a little to find out. Basically you need to install a file explorer on BlueStacks, then move the Titanium Backup folder to the common folder between your computer and BlueStacks (/sdcard/windows/BstSharedFolder) in order to finally being able to transfer your file from your PC to your smartphone.
It keeps giving me the error "Oh no! Your login temporarily failed, so please try again later."

Magisk Manager Pro? From the Play Store or some website? Uh-oh... Fake Managers not provided by @topjohnwu. Who knows what they'll do to your device...

Best thing would probably be to restore your backup.
I have installed "magisk manager pro 2019" by the playstore
I reflash the rom and magisk but same result
Don't install anything not provided by @topjohnwu. It's just fake apps trying to monetize on Magisk's success. Worst case they'll even harm your device...
You might be able to manually remove the app, by navigating to its location in the TWRP file manager and delete it. Other than that, restoring a backup or wiping your device might be the only way to go.
ok thanks for your reply.

You'll likely find files in /data/app, /data/data and /data/user_de/0 (and possibly other places) that are related to the app. Look for folders with the name bfd.app.poy.com.xss (the package name of the app) and delete those.

Did you do anything else except install the app? It sounds strange that it would cause this kind of big issue. Does your device start if you don't install Magisk? Did you also install any modules that might be incompatible with your device? Etc...
Like I've said before, your best option might be to restore your backup (but by this time I'm assuming you don't have one).
If you can't get things figured out, the easiest solution is likely to wipe your device and start over. In TWRP you can choose to do an advanced wipe. Wipe everything except for internal storage (and external storage as well, of course) and then reinstall your system.
Don't forget to make regular backups once you get everything up and running again.
Didgeridoohan:
No I don't install other app or module. I install magisk manager pro 2019 and try to restart.
I have a backup a twrp backup but she is a little old. If there is only this solution I will do that.
Maybe is it possible to restaure ony the boot of twrp backup ?
Thanks.
