Wondering if anyone knows details on the upgrade. Anything noticeable?
cog2 is slightly speedier with better battery life, most if not all the latest roms will require cog2 as your base

Basically can I flash a Europe Firmware or ROM that was based on a Europe stock firmware over my Australian firmware and still have my phone fully functional on the Australian Networks?
I read that Asian phones might have issues but as far as I can see the Australian SGS is the international version.
I've installed Darky's 9.0.2 (which is based on XXJPY) on my Optus Galaxy S, and I highly recommend it Much better than the stock rom, much smoother and definitely looks better!
What was your stock ROM? lexxonnet?
It was DTJP5 as well.
ok Thanks that makes me feel a lot better, I think I will install Darkyy's 9.0.2 as well. Which CF-Root did you use? and did you flash JPY stock first or did you just go directly with the Darkyy's ROM?
Anyway I took the plunge and installed Darkyy's 9.1 Extreme Edition.... But the clockwork mod wouldn't work until I flashed my firmware to XXJPY.... but its all working so all is good.
I have finished rooting my phone (XT1097) and now I'm looking at changing ROMs but before I do, I want to know what benefits there are of CM 12.1 (or another ROM) over the stock retail (Wind Mobile) ROM. There isn't much bloat on my phone and what's there is providing benefits (okay, maybe not spotlight). What would you say is the biggest benefit of removing the stock rom (now that it's rooted) and replacing it with [ROM OF YOUR CHOICE]? This assumes I get the stock 5.1 ROM soon.
More features, nice little additions. Some cases there may be better performance and battery life. I suggest you try everything and see what works for you best
I'm currently on Sense 6 Kitkat rom with the 6.09.401.5 firmware. I am bored and fancy trying one of the 5.1 aosp or cm based roms for a while. I appreciate the rom will probably work with my current firmware, but for optimal battery and signal what firmware should I flash for this?
Thanks,.

I was on the basically the same firmware when I first ran CM12. I used it for a while (~a week or two), then flashed to 7.17.1540.21. I didn't find that it gave me any noticeable improvement in battery or signal.
So I just updated to COG2 and Tek's LP 3.3 version. Everything is running awesome. He also has the thread to update the software to 910T3 with DOG1 firmware. Is there an advantage of abandoning 910T with cog2 and going with this new combo?
No one can help me with this question?
910T3 is a different phone. Well is still Tmo note 4 but different hardware. Won't work with the 910T
I understand that. But Tek has nandroid backups available that will run that software on the 910T. I guess not many here are doing that
I'm currently on a 5.1.1 rom with cod6 & beastmode kernel. I'm wanting to try 6.0.1 MM safely while keeping the possibility of going back to 5.1.1 if need be.
Some say it's possible and easy, others say different. I am not an experienced rom flasher, so I want to confirm the methods and options before hand. I was going to upgrade my note 4 to note 7 but didn't thankfully. so I've decided to stick with the note 4 and wait to see what 2017 brings in the way of potential upgrades.
Thanks in advanced
