Are you able to get into DL Mode? Here is the reason I ask? KDZ method worked for me. I was not able to do anything with my phone. However, I did run the flash and it said to plug phone in. When I did it flashed the firmware as if I was in DL mode. You might want to give it a try?

He said hard bricked, not soft bricked. When your hard bricked, you can't do anything on your phone.

im pretty confuse of these two terms here, semi and hard bricks. for what i know semi brick is when you see the phone--->pc thingy on your phone after a flash failure. and can be resolve by a JIG or tricks to get into download mode.
but what about HARD BRICKS?? can they be resolve with a JIG or tricks? what are the symptoms of hard brick phones? is there anyone from the forum that could not enter download mode with the use of JIG or tricks?
pls answer the following. it will help me with my phone before flashing.
Hard brick is just like soft brick, but you cant go download or recovery menu, and you have to send it to shop where you bought it.

You cant use JIG if your phone is hard bricked.
And, well your phone bricks if you flash wrong file with odin (sometimes) or wrong .zip
IN XDA/SGS 1 bricked means phone wont boot may be described as soft brick as its probably recoverable . Only one culprit in a soft bricked phone the user has not bothered to read/follow instructions .
Recovery is usually via download mode /jig and flash a stock rom .
Hardbricked dead never ever recover nothing the user can do combination of above or blown hardware .

I guess the guy recently on the Q&A forum had who did a fatal mistake on flashing (see attachment).
Semi bricks seem to happen far more often but from what I read here it doesn't really matter much on the SGS. I'm way no expert but it sounds you gotta mess up big time to hard brick it or be extremely unlucky when flashing boot loaders or something (correct me if I'm wrong).
Hard bricked phones have to be sent in for repair afaik. There are also some guys trying to figure out a different kind of cable to get into some more advanced service mode or so for hard bricks (?).
Anyways, what to do when you semi brick? Usually go to download or recovery mode and flash again.
My very first flash was about enabling these modes (my SGS came without them) so I had neither mode and semi bricked (better use direct USB). Luckily, thanks to all the info on XDA I knew I'd be screwed if things go wrong so I bought myself a JIG dongle off Ebay prior and thus could plug it in, get into download mode and re-flash, all fixed.

But wrong bootloaders = brick, soft or otherwise. Try a jig to get into download mode.
Samfirmware has nothing which will work on your phone.
I'm looking to do some experimental non-invasive recovery on bricks and I need something to test. If you'd like, you can send it to me for some analys and it could help the entire community... or you can send to connexxion2005 for jtag recovery.

After watching your video, it looks like a hard brick. A jig will not help. You need to consider JTAG, invasive or non invasive.
Good luck.

my phone doesn't turn on. the screen is completely dead. i will try odin though. but what do i do if my phone is completely dead? i heard of oneclickunbrick but im new to linux and i have no clue how to run it. what else can i try?
Well oneclickunbrick will run in Windows also, it would take your phone to download mode so you can go on with Odin
Otherwise if that doesn't work I think you'll need to go to repair service

Hello everyone! I have the lg l90 d405n and I've done everything right to put TWPR(root, unlock bootloader etc.). When i tried to reboot into recovery mode with flashify my phone turned black and i couldn't open the phone. My pc detects QHSUB_BULK and i understand that something bad happened. I went to repair it and they changed the motherboad of the phone. The think is that i don't understand why this think happens after done everything detailed and right and i really want to flash the cm13 into my phone. Now my warranty is void and i don't want to destroy my phone again. Can everybody have an answer on this. Thanks by the way!

Flashify gives you 2 choices to flash. 1 is recovery other is aboot i think.. U cant choose that wrong or phone bricks.. If they changed the motherboard check if your phone is still a d405n as some PPL got the wrong motherboard..

Thanks for the answer! It's still a d405n. I done that 2 times. The first one the phone got bricked and I by myself unbricked it but the second one hard bricked my phone and the motherboard had to be changed. I do every single thing right and I look again and again If I have a mistake to correct it. I don't understand where I am wrong. Or maybe that portion cant flash the recovery?

By the way, I've done it with that guide you mentioned. To the attached files it says for my phone to download d405n_v10b_about.bin. It's for the version v10b and my phone was v20c. Maybe it's my software's problem?

thats why I said I was on kitkat..
nevertheless if you wanna try get to stock kitkat and work from there, at your own responsability, use this tutorial, it worked for me several times:

hi
I have a g7 plus that is totally screwed and i need some help. The phone boots but has a corrupt baseband, so calls and wifi does not work. This is stopping me from setting the oem unlock setting to enabled. The phone is stuck on bootloader locked because of this and is stopping me from flashing anything, including the blankflash file. There is also no fastboot or recovery mode. Is this phone dead?
Cheers
I'm guessing no luck with LMSA?

ah bummer dude that really sucks. I know in some other threads people were talking about trying to force the device into qualcomm EDL mode to try and unbrick, but I dont believe any progress was made going that route here. I guess its something to look into, perhaps some other forums might have had some luck with getting into EDL.
good luck, hope you can get it sorted and if so let us know what ya did
