Hey!
I'm using a Xperia Z1 as a spare phone for testing roms and such and it's currently running android M.
Because I'm stupid, I let the battery die and now the phone gets stuck in a loop :
Plugged in>Sony logo>Charging animation>Turns Off>Sony logo>Charging animation and that keeps looping, holding the power button just reboots the phone in the charge animation as well
Does anyone know what to do?

am really sorry if this was a repeated question, but am stuck in sony logo and i cant close the phone to make it charge, battery is dead, it closes it self for 5 minutes to charge then it opens back to the sony logo and stucks there till it consumes the battery then loops.
dont know what to do, i've searched here a lot with no accurate answer
i've tried (Power+vol-up) it closes then it automatically turns itself back on
its not even recognized by the flashtool and the PC companion
any help guys will be really appreciated
please any help guys, its really heating up like crazy
I've totally lost the the battery, it loops at the sony logo then totally off in less than a minute with red lid, then back on in the sony logo with lower red lid then off then on... etc
power + vol up for more than 20 sec does nothing, no vibrations, nothing at all
power + vol down does notheing
power + vol up and down for more than 20 sec does nothing as well
flashtool and PC companion are not recognizing it, while i just used the flash tool yesterday, same latest version with the same PC
i think its dead right now
if just anyone replied by telling me how to shut it down while keeps it charging, I could have prevented it from this endless loops and saved it
thanks guys for not helping at all, i had the feeling that am in a desert talking to myself here
anyway after like 10 hours of digging and digging i managed to fix it
if anyone has the same problem please follow this awesome guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2229250
one small comment: even the battery is dead the flashtool could detect your XZ, i think it reads the main ship with no power needed, just don't lose hope (I've tried to enter the flash mood like 20 times) and finally it worked, flashed my stock .67 tft then i got all physical indicators back (Lids, Vibrations, buttons are functioning) and it couldn't start as there were no battery at all, it gave me the battery icon and after like 5 minutes of charging it woke up

i think it wont charge as it can't reach the kernel, you have to find a dock charger then plug your device in till the green notification light is on, which means u've reached 90% of battery charge.
the dock charger is the solution for this man, the wall charger won't be able to pass the kernel to charge the battery
then please follow the guide again after your XZ is charged up
Hi guys!
Ive found some real prob at the xperia Z:
left the xperia z over night on a desk with good load. then on next day it was dead without anything done to it. now it wont turn on anymore. when i connect charger the red led flashes one time and the phone vibrates 3 times. again and again...
now does somebody know what this weired behavior could mean? broken accu? i cant find any error codes for vibe or led telling whats on.
bye!
I have the same issue !
My Xperia Z A just died without a trace.
I have the same symptoms.
I could not turn it on. No Logo No nothing.
I was able to use Flashtool to flash but after the flashing is competed, nothing really happened. Still cannot turn it on.

Disconnect from charger. Hold volume up for 10 seconds I think or longer(up to the 3 vibrates). What happens?
open flashtool and connect your phone while holding volume down. what happens?
Does the FlashTool say something?
Hold powerbutton + volume up till it vibrates 3 times indicated your phone is shutdown. Then charged your phone using wall socket. And be patient.
Its look like your battery is totally flat.

Hey guys, I've got a bit of a problem after the latest 4.3 update. My phone battery went to 7% and then suddenly to 0%, upon which it turned off. Now whenever I try to turn it on the red light flashes and whenever I try to turn it on whilst charging (because I don't think it charges if I just leave it plugged in), it just enters a reboot cycle, whereby it goes to the lock screen, shows the "Shutting Down" window and reboots. I have no clue how to fix this.
I don't really care about the phone at this point, but I do have some photos I want to keep from there...
Any ideas? The software hasn't been pampered with.
same here
hey, feeling with you.
I recently updated my Xperia T to 4.3.
While in 4.1.2 the "low battery" behavior was quite weird, as my T did not charge (no red LED), I was able to get it back to life by pressing and holding the power button for quite some time, lets say 5 min. or so, as it was loading then. This was independent from whether it was exhausted (blinking red LED) or "simply of"(not blinking but not charging anyways).
Through this whole power pressing procedure (I just wrapped the cord around the phone several times) the LED was red and the phone was charging, but it did not turn on. After the 5 min. I freed the T an hit the power button again. Now it was booting as expected and did not immediately go off again.
On 4.3 unfortunately this does not work anymore . The phone just tries to boot and enters the reboot cycle as you described (with the difference that it does shut down instead of reboot).
Now first I would like to know, if your T behaved like mine under 4.1.2 (guessing that was your last Version too). From what I've read I assume that wasn't really normal behavior. I think there must be something wrong with the hw, as my 4.1.2 was neither unlocked nor modified in any other way.
Second I would advise you boot into recovery and select boot into bootloader* (if you have installed one) or connect your T to your PC and boot into flashmode (power+vol.down I guess) as it might charges in there. The recovery worked for me, flashmode should work, but I never tried.
Finally I guess chances are good, that your device works totally normal if it gets charged again (just don't let it run out of energy again )
btw. does the Xperia T normally charge while it's powered off? Anyone has send his phone back on warranty because of charging problems?
good luck to you,
wk
*I am using this 4.3 rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2647459) atm, as I have root there. But the recovery is really buggy right now so it just restarts all the time. I'm not quite sure where the "boot into bootloader" option gets you ( never heard, that you could boot into bootloader on an xperia device) but the LED shines blue and the T charges and that's important right?
Yeah, my T would sometimes do that when the battery completely drained. I'd have to hold the button for a few minutes while the red light was on until it booted and started charging autonomously.
Now that doesn't work. It doesn't charge when it's off and when I connect it to the charger and turn it on, it restarts. Eventually though the battery drains completely and the old trick works again, but even when it manages to boot to the lock screen, it shows 0% battery again and restarts.
I've tried turning it on while holding the power+down button and charging. The green light came on and disappeared but it started rebooting again. Same with connecting it to my PC.
Can you remove the battery?
Same thing happens to mine, and i just remove battery, plug it without battery,it starts, then put the battery back on.
And it charges fine.

But the battery is inbuilt, no? Would I have to disassemble it?

So I think you are facing the same issue as mine... the phone has no time to charge. So what I did was flash an OmniRom with only the SystemUI apk and launcher apk. The intention was to make the boot time shorter so that the battery will not go down by the time it boots. But it ended up causing a bootloop: it was constantly stuck in the bootanimation. And it does charge during the bootanimation. So I let it be like that for about 30 minutes, rebooted to recovery and flashed the stock rom. And all my data was safe. This is more like a fluke so try it and maybe it would work.
If you can disassemble it, then yes, you can do the battery thing. There is just one screw under the SIM flap. I didn't do it because my screw driver kit was borrowed.
The battery trick worked! Now it discharges really fast though.
5% in less than 5 minutes...

How do u recalibrate the battery?
Hi, I recently flashed the new Ubuntu Touch image for the Xperia Z1 without any issues, but then my battery died after a few days of no usage and I can't get the phone to boot, nor can I get it into fastboot or recovery: When I put it on charge, first the notification-LED starts blinking red, then after a few minutes it begins starting up to charging mode (battery icon). Pressing any volume buttons while the Sony logo shows doesn't help, and after that the phone begins totally bugging around. I can't get it to boot to Ubuntu, but I also can't get it to turn back off without waiting until the battery drains, and then I'm back at plugging it in again. I also tried hitting buttons while plugging in the USB-cable, but again, no results.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
