Hi, I know there's a thread about this already tried the wpa supplicant on different threads I found including from another device forum
the question is I can see my adhoc after changing the supplicant.
but the problem is It won't connect normally.
shows as remembered then won't connect. my fix is to turn off wifi then on.
another problem is now my phone won't ever connect to non-adhoc networks..ouch!
anyone?please help if you know a solution to this.
this is why Im stuck to cm7/miui roms.

I have same problem, i install 2 different ROM but both had same problem. my wifi turned on but dont find any signal!!
i was installed the Rom again & again but the problem was not solved. i unlocked my cell with htcdev, using bootlooder .28 and using cwm v6

Try searching for WiFix Manager, install it, tick advanced then type EU or CN finally hit change code.
You must be Rooted of course.
Hi there,
I am experiencing a problem which I did not had with my other devices before.
When I try to flash a new kernel (Team Seven kernel stable) my WiFi stops working.
When I try to turn it on, it says 'Error'.
I have seen some other threads around which reported the same, but they were from other devices, with different (complicated) answers.
I wonder what this problem could be, and how to solve it.

UPDATE: Problem solved.
I tried to re-flash it, and formatted the cache partition in case.
Now it works
Hi all, I'm back with another proplem!
Around a month ago I was running AICP and KMA Kernel and just randomly one day I couldn't connect to any WiFi networks at all, I've tried a whole combination of ROMs and Kernels and the only thing that seems to work is having a ROM with the kernel it comes with, Meow, KMA, Hodor are the Kernels I've tried so far on various different ROMs but none work at all, it just says "error connecting" or something similar, I can't connect to WiFi networks on ANY Lollipop ROMs either!
I have already had a look through the forums for a fix but so far haven't found anything, I've trued flashing nandroid backups and re-flashing stock .283 but still haven't had any luck, I'll try and pull a logcat in a little while!
Has anyone else encountered this and if so do you know the cause/solution? I'd be very grateful indeed if someone would be able to help me out!

Hello guys im new here and i tried lot of things to repair my wfi problem.
So its my mom phone and one day she called me about selfrestart phone in night and there was image of bootloader and startup failed.
So after classic factory reset and etc my wifi still not working. The problem is i cant connect to any wifi. I can scan it but wont connect just say disabled or saved but not connection.
After this i tried flash stockroom succesfully after 2 days of hard work So i flash stock room but the problem is still there so im not sure what can i do anymore. If i can try flash some newer rom or custom rom or its just hardware failure? has anyone have problem like this? All others things work normal like data connections etc. Sorry for my english
1. update so i flashed another lineage room just in case and still not working.
2. i notice in system information that wifi mac adress is 0d:00:00:00:00:00 so can be hardware failure probably.
3. Hotspot wifi is working so i can connect from another mobile to the broken wifi mobile
