Now we just need to wait for someone to deodex, root it, and get xposed working!
Now we wait for the active.

...... If its not Marshmallow than whats the use? Another update that does nothing for our phones like 0F3? ........
QUOTE - But right now owners on AT&T's network aren't getting Marshmallow. They're getting Android 5.1.1 as part of build number G900AUCU4COI5.
- This OTA also brings Android for Work, and an Ultra Power Saver mode fix for encrypted devices.

lol. I ****in hate Samsung and AT&T. I got the OTA notice and waited hours for it to download from their dialup-ass server, only to have the damned install fail to install because it ran out of space. On my 16GB ****ing phone that I can't stand because it can't even fit apps on it. And, now it says to wait a ****ing day to try the download again.
Can anyone please upload the OTA file please. I can't get FOTA as I'm out of US now aND not on at&t network.

Thanks for this thread. I'm hoping that the 5.1.1 build is as stable and efficient as I've had on 5.0. I'll be posting my observations.

I can't get it to install. I'm fully stock on my phone. I've changed the date a few times to force the download but it stops then I get an error message.
May try the Samsung store in my local Best Buy.

I'm interested in Deodexed so that I can run Xposed with all the tweaks on it. Mostly Amplify and App Ops to kill useless processes.
Also, do we have root for 5.1.1?
Install process went smoothly. Download/install/first boot took about 40 minutes.
Gonna have to wait a week to be sure that call reception/quality/mobile data reception is the same compared to 5.0

Let me know what you find. I've had 3 or 4 fails, fully stock and didn't have any issues with the Stage Freight OTA. I thought i cleared 3GB of space, but that failed.
The only other thing I've done is used the debloater app to hide some of the stock apps (Calendar, email, etc.), but I even unhid those to no avail.
Frustrating!

If you can go to Settings > About Phone > System Version and tell me what that says I can help more.
Also if you could possibly pull the update that'd be great. Have to be rooted to pull it though.

And truth is that although I have moaned about the update the RAZR I on 4.0.4 is still very fast and smooth and the only thing I don't like about the RAZR I is no toggle switches in the notification drop down as a result I always have to go to my home screen. Network doesn't matter. It's a rolling update going by whatever Motorola pleases.
Wiping data was the best way to make sure you lose whatever was pushed to your device. Not going to find it again until its pushed to everyone.

It seems that many 925A'ers are not leaving this forum to find out that YES, we have root! The unnecessary questions, comments, doubts are starting to pile up, so maybe this is the best way to ensure everyone knows that YES (again), we have root. Here are THREE posts from the SAME person in DIFFERENT threads asking the SAME thing:
There's root for the g925a? Where?

If that won't drive you crazy, it should at least get you warned for not following forum rules and searching instead of posting for no reason..... If that user searched, they would have easily found this thread showing you exactly how to root the 925A!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3103016
To be 110% clear....... this was developed by @idler1984, NOT me, so thank them - all credit goes to them, I'm just trying to keep the 925A forum cleared up if at all possible!
ENJOY!
EDIT - and because someone asked........ Root has been achieved for both OCE and the 5.13.15 OE2 update
EDIT 2 - and because more people can't read, you CANNOT root anything past May 15th builds, so none of the OF_ updates, nothing that comes out after May 15th, so don't update unless you want to lose root! The information is all there in the thread linked above, if you don't read, you don't have anyone to blame but yourself!
Good job. Was thinking of doing the same.
omg thank you. by the way that first quote was mine sorry. and i did search to no avail. thanks a bunch for clearing this up. and ill try to be more thorough with my search next time.

Okay, that makes sense then, OC9 instead of what I thought you were talking about, "OE9" which I guess does not exist (yet?)
They skipped that one because OE2 is out and there's no need to get the build in the middle developed, from what I can tell.... I've been wrong before though! Just hit your software update and get OE2 then root that, it has the most updates we're going to see before 5.1.1 comes out next month (still more speculating, but that's an informed guess this time based on lots of reading up on the new Galaxy from across the web)

2. No new ROM can be supported as bug has been fixed.
Full story:
New bootloader blocks downgrading, be careful installing 5.1.1 OTA!
Kernel built after May 15th (including some 5.0.2 and all 5.1.1) have this bug fixed. Be cautious when installing OTA these days and FlashFire might be your best shot of upgrading systems. Use Odin to unroot and receive OTA if you want.

Yes. Use the ap slot to downgrade. You do not need sd to do it. After you are rooted read the top of the op about how to get Flashfire. You'll also need busy box i think.

I would stay away from xposed for now like you said. It's not fully compatible. I don't use any apps to make it faster. I just use titanium backup to remove bloat. Downloaded and installed. Seems to be working fine. DID NOT AFFECT ROOT. I did, however, start getting messages about "unauthorized actions have been detected". Not sure what that is about.
I believe the purpose of this OTA update is to: 1. Update the bootloader from OC4 to OF2 (maybe to prep for 5.1 to roll out?) and 2. Patch the Samsung keyboard vulnerability. I don't think they'd be able to fit much more into an update this small.

The update is 300MB. I've installed 4.4.4 ROMs and GApps smaller than that. I'm interested to see what all is getting updated, as I'm sure many other people here are.
Yep.. I shall be avoiding this one for now.
From reports I have seen, I think many have taken the update expecting 5.1 lol
This one just seems to plug up more holes. Probably a good update for normal users. Probably a bad one for ppl planning on trying to get root.
I am curious about the state of the bootloader in this update tho. Maybe there is a small chance it's not locked down as bad and will allow a downgrade
Can anyone fill me in on that part? Wishful thinking but you never know u guess

Yep.. I shall be avoiding this one for now.
From reports I have seen, I think many have taken the update expecting 5.1 lol
This one just seems to plug up more holes. Probably a good update for normal users. Probably a bad one for ppl planning on trying to get root.

I was hoping the same about the bootloader but I've been burned 3 times now taking updates and 2 weeks later a root exploit it available and I can't see them making it easier lol.

Downloaded and installed. Seems to be working fine. DID NOT AFFECT ROOT. I did, however, start getting messages about "unauthorized actions have been detected". Not sure what that is about.

On reboot, I got the "System software not authorized by AT&T hasa been found on your phone". No way to boot up. Hoping for a solution from one of the nice folks here.
Sounds like this bootloader is even more evil than oc4

I'm not rooted because I was stupid and didn't do it before upgrading to Lolipop. As a normal nobrooted user it seems fine. I hope it fixed some of the performance issues I was having.

Umm it depends what ur after.. root still may be possible in the future... if u want to wait out for that I wouldn't update.
From what I see the update is anti root and fixes keyboard exploit.. that's about it.

Lol don't feel bad I had upgraded to lollipop with root , had backups and everything but bricked my phone and somehow loaded the non rooted lollipop and it blows I had an anTuTu score of 43 thousand and now I'm lucky to get 33 not to mention upgrading my moto x rite b4 the eploit came out so yeah I saw this and said no way even though I tried to think hopefully the bootloader upgrade would let us downgrade back to 4.4.2 again lol

I just caught my phone trying to install the update but thank you samsung for a removable battery lol . Just a warning don't just keep hitting remind me it will just start updating .
I haven't got anything yet.. I'm hoping my custom apn with fota removed will delay this
I think it should be criminal for samsung or att to be able to "force" updates without user consent.
Even if they are patching security exploits.
I think you can say for certain that they are probably more concerned that you can use this exploit to root your phone or do things with it they don't want you to... more so than they are worried about the keyboard exploit harming you.
It's just not normal for att to act this fast to patch something like this.
Keep holding out, I'm sure we can acomplish something using the exploit

The update started downloading. I froze the update service via titanium back up. I am currently on 5.0 stock rooted and busy boxed. Waiting to hear if locks root out...

There's another thread going that reports to have the stock recovery image for OC4. I wonder if it's possible to downgrade via odin to roll back this update to include restoring the keyboard vulnerability that's being explored by @TheBadgers as a potential means to achieve root.
For those of you wanting the recovery file for AT&T either because your phone has stopped working while rooting or just to keep yourself covered, here you go. Credit to @br3w3r as he spent a lot of time last night helping me get this done when my phone stopped working.
YOU MUST USE THE ODIN FILE LINKED HERE. ANY OTHER WILL NOT WORK.
Trying to use any other will result in a model mismatch failure.
Download the June firmware here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24572369242688242
Necessary version of Odin - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24572369242688248
Credit to @Venom0642 for the updated links!
Standard process. Open Odin, put your phone in download mode, select the firmware as AP, hit start and let Odin do it’s thing. Saved my bacon when I got stuck with an issue last night.
very much appreciated, i couldnt update due to being on a different carrier then at&t. Im still on the original firmware when the phone came out.
I get a "download failed because of file system errors." I'm trying to download it on my tablet.

Oh, gotcha! Yeah that'll do it, lol
I'm interested also if Samsung pay will work after a restore, but since my bank still isn't part of it and I have root now, I'm not interested enough to try it lol.

Yeah, my bank isn't fond of these types of payment methods either. And honestly, pulling out my phone is no easier than pulling out my wallet. And my wallet won't shatter if I drop it fumbling around. Either way, same amount of steps. It's a cool novelty but that's about it (to me personally). But if anyone does test it, I'll definitely update the post to say definitively one way or the other for those who love Samsung Pay.
is it works?? i have a 930A with a febrary firmware, can i update to he june firmware with this?

I would wait for someone to post one specific to the 930A. This is for the 935A and as far as I know they're not interchangeable. So I would wait for a post on the 930A (which I'll do if I find firmware for one and someone verifies it works), or wait for someone to verify this worked on theirs.

Please do upload the newest for the 930A if you find someone able to help you obtain it.
Like the other person, I am on a different carrier and still on the release firmware due to AT&T not sending the OTA out unless you have an AT&T SIM.
Can confirm that Samsung Pay works.

Is this with a rooted phone? which version? What update are you on? How did you get it to work? Have you tested Samsung Pay at a store? Thanks

I think he means after flashing back to this firmware. I have seen other users posting that it seems to result in Samsung Pay working but haven't seen anyone claiming to have actually used it. I'll update the OP once someone states they got it to function at a store after flashing back to stock.
So far, having root for certain disables it unless @sy7hf7tgtgrf found a method that no one else has yet.

Haven't tested at a store yet but will try to soon. I am on the stock firmware you uploaded so no root here.
I've noticed that somethings aren't fully working correctly though.
A lot of AT&T's modifications seem to be missing.
For one I can't really setup my Visual Voicemail now, and some sections in device settings are a bit different.
Pretty sure all is fine though.

It actually had the opposite effect for me funnily enough on VVM. I never was able to get it working after buying the phone and it was a pleasant surprise to find it working on this firmware. It had always given me an error about contacting AT&T because it seemed my plan didn't support it (though it did). Never followed up though as I very rarely use the phone for calls. Also was happy to see a toggle for LTE was added instead of having to dig in the settings to turn it on or off! All the stock AT&T apps seem to be there for me, though I'm not sure on the modifications. It's noticeably faster in Geekbench than it was the day I bought it, which leads me to believe maybe this is indeed stock, but before AT&T messed with it much. I hope you can get VVM working. But do keep us posted on the results of Samsung Pay in store!
MUST use the files linked. Saved my A$$ so listen to him...hahaha!
BTW, I successfully installed G935U roms on G935A.
It is so much cleaner with no ATT bloatware and much fewer samsung bloatwares.
I used this odin
