i have a weird "boop" sound coming from my note5 randomly. even when the phone is on silent or DO NOT DISTURB mode and all the apps closed, i randomly get a "boop" notification sound. i don't know where its coming from and it seems to come at completely random times. please help!
bump. anyone else having this problem?!
Is it a boop or a beep ? LOL
Seriously the only thing i can think of is that your s pen is detached. Or maybe its not detached and your censor is damaged due to pengate.
I have the same proble . Random "boops" and if on vibrate mode, random vibrations.
Do you have any bluetooth connections like a Smart Watch, Headset or Speaker?

When you set the phone to vibrate mode, both the ring and system vol slider slides all the way down. This causes no sound in anything even with using earphones when playing music and watching movies.
Does anyone have the same problem and have a fix for this?
Thanks in advance
Yep, same problem, and so does everyone else.
Solution = Phone Weaver (phweaver)

when you put it as vibrate it turns off all phone sounds (it is standard in all windows mobile phones) if you turn the volume up and put the headphones in all phone sounds will go through the headphones.
Sounds like a non problem to me. What would you expect if you have the volume turned all the way down? No sound. If you have head phones and plug them in then turn of the volume. It'll only be in the head phones.
Nah, the problem when the headphones is plugged and sound is turned on. If the phone rings, it still rings through the speaker (not the headphones). So if i'm in a library or something, i can't listen to music without turning the sound on. When the phone rings it will disturb everyone. All my phones i used before non-windows phones from nokia and sony ericsson still had music through the headphones even if the phone was on vibrate.
Ah I see what you're saying now. Personally I see it as a good thing. If I had the phone charging, i.e. not in my pocket or where I could feel it, and was on BT stereo headset but didn't have it plugged into my ears then I would be totally unaware that I was receiving a call. But I must say that I'm not in the library often (last time was probably about 1982) and I don't use vibrate at all really.
(Having your phone in vibration mode) Have you guys ever experienced the 5 sec mail notification vibrating in the middle of calls annoying both you and the caller??
The Japanese phones over here usually disable vibration notifications during phone conversations by default...I'm confused as to why the Diamond does not act the same way...
Has anyone else experienced the same? If so, is there a solution to this problem?
Was anyone able to figure this out? or I am the only have this issue

Nah.. i have this problem as well.. it gets pretty annoying when there's a constant buzzing while I'm trying to talk... lol...
A similar thing happens when an SMS is received while i'm on a call..
Unlike the other non-windows phones i've had where it might simply make a beep, my diamond actually plays the entire SMS ringtone from the speaker over the voice of the person who i'm talking to.... (I dont know if the other person actually hears it...)
hopefully someone has a solution to either of these problems....
Would anyone here know why all of a sudden the ringer and music speaker would quite working on my X1A? The headphones work fine as does the speaker when you are making a call. The phone was not dropped, I was sitting at the computer, noticed I missed a call and wondered why since I'd not heard a ring. Did hard reset, still nothing.
sounds like the headset detector is stuck so it think it's in headset mode all the time
people report inserting and pulling out the headset XX times sometimes solves it
Thanx for your reply, makes sense but just inserted and removed headfons at least 20 times and still no go. Any other ideas?
just press volume up button of the phone
that's not the issue, I have the volume turned up all the way, still nothing.
My samsung captivate is having sound issues.
When i am talking on a speaker phone, after 2-3 min. i cant hear any voice on the speaker, i have to turn off the speaker and talk. And some times when someone calls, the phone doesn't rings. it just show the incomming call( the phone is not in a silent mode). And even when i play any music, it plays for some time and later its just silent.
If the speaker of the phone is bad, i should be bad all the time.
if it is a software problem, i update the software regularly.
can any one please let me know what should i do. i will be very thankful to you
Try firmly pressing down on the speaker housing. It may just be a loose connection.
Hi,
I've bought new Sony Xperia Z1 a few days ago and overall it's a great device, but there is one issue, which is very annoying for me.
The vibration motor is very loud, but at the same time vibrations are just weak, so that when the ringtone is set on the lowest level, the motor is louder than this ringtone and when I keep the phone in my pocket I can hardly feel anything when it's vibrating.
In the keyboard I've set the shortest possible vibrating time, but it still makes more sound than vibrations.
The pitch of the sound is increasing with the duration of the motor working: eg. when I push home button for one time, the sound is quite low (but still loud), but when I press a few times in a row the sound gets higher and even more irritating.
Is it normal behavior for this smartphone? It's very annoying, because vibration should be discrete way to notify me about incoming calls or text messages. The fact that it is louder than a normal ringtone makes it useless.
Is it possible to fix it via software or is it a hardware issue and I should send the phone to the repair center (i'm afraid to do it, because they've destroyed my phone in the past).
I have the same problem, sometimes it works, but mostly it is making a scratching sound.
I've turned off the vibration when pressing the screen/keyboard, makes too much noise.
It is probably a hardware issue, i want to fix it by myself, because i don't trust the repair centers.

vibration very weak here: if in pocket or on any surface I can hardly feel it
