Inland Cellular Moto x 2014 No Data, Phone, etc after new Rom - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So i have a stock rom with a backup. When I try to install any roms I lose my cell carrier, phone service, data, all of it. This carrier does not use Sim cards or APN numbers. I don't know much about this stuff so how do I get the needed missing stuff (efs, Imei, etc) back onto the new Rom so the phone is useable?
XT1093
Android 4.4.4

Sorry but xt1093 is using CDMA. Most roms are based off xt1095 which does not have nor use CDMA but instead uses GSM. You can ask the person who made the rom to add CDMA support, but there is nothing that you can actually do to fix it, well unless you fix the rom yourself. GSM is for the sim cards, so if you change carriers and use a sim in your xt1093 that would work for the roms.

Worldphone using GSM... which Hard-SPL?

Let me start with the fact that this is the first phone I have pndered flashing.
I have a Verizon branded TP2 that I am now using on Rogers (GSM) here in Canada. Everything is working. Currently running 6.5 flashed from the Verizon website before I inserted the Rogers SIM and re worked the internet settings.
I am confused as to which Hard-SPL I should use to prep for a new ROM. I would eventually like to get the phone to the point where the Verizon crap is gone but I can set the phone to work fully on Rogers. The phone shipped with a Verizon Vodaphone GSM card inside so I am assuming it was GSM in the states but it has CDMA settings.
So my questions are:
1. Which Hard-SPL do I use... the GSM or the CDMA/Worldphone?
2. Any recomendations on ROM would be welcome, I don't want anything radical and I like the current interface but want to de-brand the phone and make sure I am not loosing out on features.
Your device may be using GSM, but it is a CDMA Worldphone. You need to use the HardSPL made for the RHOD400 and RHOD500, found in the CDMA Rhodium subforum. Though it's impossible to flash the wrong HardSPL, as the program will simply exit with a warning message if the device is the wrong model.
If you want more ROMs, check out PPCGeeks, they do more stuff with CDMA devices
CDMA phones dont use a SIM, the Vodafone card that it came with is there for roaming only, but it would seem you can use it for calls
the verizon number is stored in it when you activate it.

question regarding flashing a GSM based rom onto a Sprint phone

I am trying to unlock the Sprint HTC one's sim card so it can be used with a international sim card. Sprint has sent me numerous emails detailing my phone has been unlocked on their end, and i do know for a fact that the config was pushed to the phone (had a friend at sprint check this for me) but the phone remains SIMLock Enabled.
My theory is, if i flash a GSM rom, and insert my international sim card, hopefully it would prompt me for the Sim Unlock code. Right now in a sprint rom, it simply states SIMLock enabled and does not give us any optino to enter an unlock code. I would assume that the unlock is stored in NV memory and would survive a reflash of a different rom.
So my question are:
1. can I even flash a GSM based rom from the HTC One Section?
2. Will I be able to get back to a sprint based rom afterwards?
3. Can I harm anything by attempting this?
Thanks in advance.
Sprint One is CDMA, you can't flash GSM rom.
You will brick your one...

What if i use a sprint script to make sure the partitions are correct? Im not particularly caring that the phone wont connect to a network, i jsut need the Sim Unlock box to pop up and unlock the phone

Sorry, but what do you mean for Sim Unlock Box?
Are you talking about the pin or you have a SimLock branded phone?
If you have a simlock branded phone, i'm not sure that you can unlock this with an interntional rom.
However, i think no.
Kernel are different...
The Sprint One is a CDMA phone with LTE bands (this is what requires the sim card). The phone does NOT have the hardware to connect to a gsm/wcdma network. So, even if you could sim-unlock the phone, an international (or any other carrier's) sim will not allow the phone to connect to any other network/carrier.
The Sprint One will ONLY connect to the Sprint network.

Any rom that support Moto X CDMA XT1093?

Well im thinking on converthing this phone to XT1095 and use lollipop or use a custom rom with lollipop.
The question is, if i flash any other rom, will i be able to use on cdma still?
bump
As long as the ROM doesn't contain any modem files you'll be fine. I believe that most custom ROMs are only /system and some /data, which means they'll work fine.

Actually, you'll only be able to activate it on US Cellular, not just any CDMA carrier. Sprint doesn't carry the phone and Verizon won't allow you to use it on their network. US Cellular won't let you use it on any other network either, as evidenced by their inability/unwillingness to provide unlock codes.
Edit: in the US, that is. Globally you'd have to get the carrier to modify the phone for you, which may be possible but I don't know about that stuff.

I think you don't understand im already using this phone (xt1093) on another cdma carrier... i live in dominican republic and switched to tricom, sadly can only use 3G in cdma since 4G LTE is gsm.
Can you write some details how can downgrade from OTA updated system 5.1 to 5.0.2 ?

check it out. That guy got it working. Also, US Cellular isn't supported on XDA, hence why we have our own forum.

Flashing XT1053 on XT1060

Hi guys,
I have a MotoX 2013 XT1060 Verizon Developer Edition. I'm planning to flash a XT1053 4.4.4 Retail T-mobile image with RSD Lite.
Is this going to work? Is this a dumb thing to do?
Thanks
Well, if you flash the T-Mobile radios, you'll likely lose CDMA support and LTE band 12 support.
Not to mention the differences in teh build.prop that also might cause issues since they wont have the parts needed for Verizon's CDMA support.

Yes, there is a chance you will brick when flashing the full SBF from another variant. We have seen other variants, like XT1052, be successful.
If I recall correctly, back in the day, there were some who did flash XT1060's will all but the modem files from an XT1053 (due to leaked update files, EARLY on in the X's life cycle) but I can't remember the details. I just know it didn't brick.
Either way, I think saying as I did, that flashing a Verizon phone with a firmware for another variant resulting in the inability to use it on Verizon's network, would be reason enough not to do it.
Then again, What I didn't think about was someone who wanted to use that XT1060 on a GSM carrier's network, and wanted to flash the XT1053 rom because its "bloat free".... So yeah, a warning in there that it could brick would be warranted...
Also, I have some statements in -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/info-warning-risks-downgrading-impacts-t3058202 like 9, 10 and 12... advising against "cross flashing" like this.
Solved it
Nevermind guys,
I flashed a XT1053 TMO Retail image with RSD Lite. My XT1060 is now XT1053, I got rid of all bloatware and all carrier logos. Everything is just perfect.
Also, I wanted to do this because I live in Europe and Verizon is nothing here. I also wanted to do this because I get updates sonner.
I have the opposite question...
I have a rooted XT1053 on Lycamobile/T-Mobile. I'd like to switch to Verizon for my service.
Do I read this correctly that I could flash an XT1060 ROM over my XT1053 and have an XT1060. Is the hardware the same?
Thanks,
Mark

Sorry I will not, because there are risks of bricking when cross flashing like that. And I don't want to be responsible if something goes wrong.

XT1093 Question

ok so cleaning my house the other day i came across a old phone of mine the Moto X XT1093 Variant (US Cellular) so as i suspected i had unlocked the BL in the past and installed TWRP and i had the stock 5.1 rom and it was rooted, i guess at some point i also installed Xposed Framework...anyways...according to the US Cellular website, this phone is already sim unlocked...so i was thinking , ok cool i can pop a sim from some random prepaid CDMA carrier and it should work...well i flashed dirty unicorns 6.0 xt1095 rom on it and its stable, the US Cellular sim is still in there and its getting a data signal, obviosuly account is off, but then i started reading and i got worried...is it even possible to flash another rom on this phone and it work? like i mean this is a CDMA phone, but i read that all XT1095 is GSM, so is there some rom i can flash that will support some sorta CDMA prepaid? any help or advice here would be appreciated....

I use it with the At&t prepaid sim. I'll look and see if I have some of the files I used to lock on the cdma networks...
