Hi everybody,
I need help about the system ui tuner.
I try to do like in the videohttps://youtu.be/B-aCDnCmIGs,
but it doesn't work.
I explain my problem on this thread, and I follow the instruction of Philip.
I'm in stock android M 6.0 and I enable the developper mode. And that's It .
Like I say on this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/themes-apps/modpack-mcr-modpack-nexus-6-r1-t2996168/page93
I hold more than 10 sec the gear icon. And nothing happend. I have no small icon to the right of your setting (gear) icon.
You can see the screenshot in attachement.
Thank's for your help. And sorry for my english, I'm French
Disable developer options and try again. That worked for me.
Press and hold for a few seconds then release. Might take several tries. Took me several attempts before unlocking it on my N7.

what worked for me :
1. delete all languages except english
2. deactivate the battery saver mode
3. add the language you want
4. activate the battery saver mode

And sorry any misunderstanding"
How I managed to fix it , was really dump , to cut it short , I set the date one month back , then went to developers options , hitting the toggle of the developers options (which is blue) so I turn them off , then turn them on again , when I turn them on I notice that I have a 0.25s window that I can hit the toggle of OEM unlocking , and so I did it , then it asked me for my passcode , and went on and downgraded to Oreo , now I'm typing from my phone running Oreo , waiting for the boot unlock key .
Hope you got something of that , I really would like to give back to the community ?
Ps: OEM unlocking is no longer grayed out in Oreo
Ps: even if you hit the toggle in pie it will still be grayed , bit after the passcode and everything , I was able to downgrade easily.
Omg it works... Thankss

Let's read this topic: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-8/how-to/unofficial-official-nokia-8-bootloader-t3898418
You can do it.
Are you sure? I successfully downgraded, but the official had bootloader unlock APK doesn't work for me,
I installed the apk, entered mail I'd,then apk just loading and keeps loading, and after that the error showed like.... "network error"
Can anyone plz tell me how to solve this issue in Nokia 5.1 plus?
works on older versions as well, my nokia 3 something plus was fixed after this.
Grey problem at Nokia 2.1 with android 10... so disgusting! I try everything what find in google. Can't find a way turn that button on.

Hey guys, I must reset my phone.
And now I have problem to activate the developer mode. I tip on the top blank in the info option an nothing happens.
Have someone the same problem?
In 4.4 you must go to setting versión and click several times to activate developper mode
Regards
Yes i know. But with the last version from Android Auto 4.4.592344 this not work.
I have the same versión, click setting , next click versión , you obtain a list of your official and custom apps, click the list seversl times and one pop up appairs when you can anable developper mode.
Thank You. That works.

PS: the apps not stay in battery saver restritions and stay with autostart.

Hi vinassif,
First of all you have to download One-click toolkit V2 from link in that site by PC. And then follow this step.
1. Enable ADB debugging mode
Steps:
Settings-My device-All specifications
and click MIUI version seven times. Then go
to
Settings-More settings-Developer options.
Turn on "USB Debugging" and "USB Debugging (Security Settings)" to
connect the phone computer
phone will appear "allow USB debugging it?"
select "OK"
2.
after extracting One-click toolkit
connect a phone
to perform "a key to execute disable power and performance" .
3. On mobile.
In the recent apps view, long tap the thumbnail of the app you want to lock, and then tap the Lock button.
Hope this will help you.

good, tks one more time for help me
Every now and then I miss an incoming call because my Zenfone 8 has mysteriously switched itself into vibrate only or silent mode.
The only way I can see for it to do this by itself is the power button has to be pressed to access the lock screen, then a volume up or down button has to be pressed to reveal the volume slider, then a tap the ringtone icon (at the top of the volume slider) will switch to vibrate only mode, or two taps will select silent mode.
All of this would have to happen while it's in my pocket, even though pocket mode is enabled!
Any ideas how I can prevent this sporadic silent mode problem?
Try turning face recognition off.

Thanks for your suggestion, but Face Recognition is not enabled - I use a pin code lock. I have enabled Smart Screen in the Display section (screen stays on longer if a face is detected) but the problem happens even when the phone has been in my pocket for some time....
Sorry, in my case it disappeared. Are you on Android 12? If not, maybe try it.
Thanks. Still waiting for Android 12 OTA....

If you are on the latest android 11 build, you can simply download the latest Android 12 firmware file from the zenfone 8 support page (Bios download section) and then drag the zip file at the root of the phones storage (with the Downloads , Pictures, etc. folders). After that is done, simply reboot the phone wait a minute or two and it will ask you to start the update process. Just tap the notification and it should start

Could you please post a link to the firmware file that I can download to my phone and simply reboot to start the update - this sound so much simpler than all the other references I've found to much more technical procedures for manually updating to Android 12. Thanks.

Yeah here you go, (latest direct download from Asus) you can do it all from the phone without a computer, just move the zip file out of the downloads folder to the Internal storage option (root directory).
Thanks again, Much appreciated!
