Hi,
I am a new Windows Tablet user. For the Windows 10 Teclast X98 Air II (HG9M), there is no "Sleep" mode in the energy management setting. I can only go to turn off screen when press the power button. The problem is once the display turn off, it will activate by finger press on the display. The display is very easy to turn on even I use a cover. Any idea how to prevent the accidentally on the display when idle?
BIOS 2.05

Same here help please!

suddenly today appeared the 'sleep mode' instead of 'hibernate' but the power still makes hibernate on press .... anyone found a solution about this problem?
Anyone please?
Bump!! Please this is very important issue for all of us.
I use this tablet with medical software, and it is very annoying to have the battery drained when the screen is off.
I have found on techtablet site a Power Performance log and still no solution
Having the tablet in sleep mode or hibernation it is very important issue.
Please any of the DEVS having any knowledge about this issue please give us, mortals, the "fire".

Problem: If I manual turn off the TYTN II I only can turn him on with the reset button. The same happens with or without the option of automatically turning off the device after x minutes.
Maybe I oversaw a setting, or it is a software / hardware bug ?
Solutions are very welcome due this really annoying issue.
Thanks in advance.
Problem still occuring.
Any ideas?
hard reset?
A hard reset did not work.
After reinstallind the whole software the problem occured again.
Anyone else having any ideas?
I don't think I am the only one who have this issue.
You say manual "turn off". Do you mean actual turn off or simply into standby?
It occurs If I push the right button and if the automated standby comes up after x minutes.
Ok. So you aren't actually turning it off. You are putting it into standby and then it won't come back from standby when you push the power button again?
1) Put it into standby
2) After ten seconds, push the power buttom once quickly
3) WAIT. Some devices are slow to wake if there is lots going on in the background and you have loads of today plug ins etc
If that doesn't work, then uninstall any software you have added.
Thanks for the hints.
I'll try and give some feedback.
Feedback: Looks the Compact Framework 3.5 is not working properly. It eats up the whole battery power within a few hours.
Look the 'sleep of death' thread...
Try to change the USB to PC connexion...
How do I exactly change the USB to PC connection ?
Any thread link to "sleep of death" ?
Thanks in advance.
Is there a way to keep the device (Tytn II) from going automaitcaly into standby mode when the GPS is activated regardless of the power setting?
On my older Trinity, whenever I used the GPS, the device would not go into standby mode no matter what the power setting was, and hence GPS will remain working. In other words, even when in power setting i had power off after 1 minute, if the GPS was being used (like Destinator) the Trinity was kept awake until I shut down Destiniator. But this is not the case with the Kaiser. Even if I have Destinator running, the devise will still go to sleep mode.
I use tomtom and when running it won't let the Kaiser go into standby automatically.
I do not know how to do it - but I know it MUST be possible because when TomTom is running on my phone it stays in live bright screen mode.

I use AE Button plus, which is a button remapping program, but has additional functions that can be assigned to hardware buttons. Check it out. I have set up the PTT button that when I click it twice, it disables the auto-standby function but then the backlight doesn't turn off, so when I click it three times it turns off the backlight to save power. Works like a champ.
I too am wondering the same thing. When using iGo, my phone goes to sleep. Is there a reg setting, or an exception lit I can add iGo to, in order to keep phone awake?
I know it must be possible, since several other programs work that way. For example phone does not go to sleep when using IE, or Core Player etc.
I am also using S2U2, and have added iGo to the exception list there, but that only stopped the phone from locking when it goes to sleep.
Please help.
Thanks!
I solved my problem (actualy workaround) by using MortScript (Keepalive script).

On charge
Well i'm sorry for my bad english too *s*
You are not charging your phone when you have this problem ? My screen is on and i have to manually turn the screen of when i'm charging... mayby there is a fix for that too... kind of annoying....
Just an idea.... that hit me
same here..
Can't get the screen to turn off at all anymore. I dont know if "diamond tweak" caused it or what. It is KILLING my battery.
I can change the settings in the Power screen, and the backlight dims on time, but the screen doesnt turn off anymore. I have changed any settings for internet usage so I dont think it could be that.
Any ideas.
Mine has just started doing this as well. Anyone know why?
Greetings :O)
I have a friend who broke his nexus one power button, So what I did is installed a free utility called "wakeall", Which allows to unlock the phone from sleep state via volume buttons.
I also installed "Screen off and lock utility" so he can turn his screen off manually (sleep mode).
I encountered a problem :
When i turn on the phone from sleep mode via the volume button, It turns the wifi on by itself.
The rom is original 2.3.6 as i observed (it's not a rooted machine in my opinion.
I'll appreciate how to solve this.
Thank you
Got it - It was from something called Battery Booster that had a setting to turn wifi on after screen unlock..
Thank you (And Thank me too :O)
Hello friends,
My situation:
Out of the blue my phone stopped responding to the wake-up action. Every time I lock it, I have to restart for the screen to turn on again. The power button is working just fine, since I can go to recovery mode and use it to select options there. I even installed a somewhat wrong version of the TWRP recovery that would not boot to the main OS, but the power/lock button would work just fine in recovery, putting the phone to sleep and waking it up. I reverted the instalation after so I could boot to the main OS ( Android 10). I tried reinstalling(from an official image of the rom) the full rom, incluing everything from OS to Bootloader, and could not make the wakeup action work again. Once my phone is on, if I lock it, I have to force a restart to turn the screen on again. I even tried sending a direct command to the OS using adb shell input keyevent KEYCODE_POWER and KEYCODE_WAKEUP to no success. Even tough I made sure other common events like opening the camera (KEYCODE_CAMERA) were working when the screen was on, and I bet it was working when the screen was off too, but it would not wakeup the screen and I would not be able to see the camera view finder.
My phone is a Samsung galaxy A30, model SM-A305G, currently in Android 10.
I think I described the problem good enough, but If anyone have a problem understanding it, just let me know and I try to explain it better.
Can anyone help me out here? I tried a lot of things to not success.
Thanks!
I have the exact problem you described, did you find any solution ?

flash official ROM with Odin or with twrp
I tried several different official roms by odin but nothing changed.
Power button and volume rockers works perfectly in recovery or download mode but in the OS volume rockers do not do anything (nor volume button commands from adb shell) and if I press the power button phone sleeps and never wakes up.
Very very strange at this stage I disabled sleep and with a amoled black bacground using the phone but I really wonder wtf is going on ?

very strange
I made furher research about the issue and here is what i've found.
Some videos mentioned same problem in similar samsung models and they stated that changing the daughterboard that connected to motherboard via screen flex resolved the issue. Other videos reflowed the connector in the motherboard side of the flex.
Also phone not responding the adb power commands while in sleep but responding fine when awake got me thinking there is a problem with a some kind of awake pin of screen. Probably there is a short or a missconnection in that pin. That's why solutions in the videos work I think.
It is definitelty not a software issue because it happens in every official or custom rom except in twrp (which does not put screen into sleep mode according "mScreenState" info)
It is not a hardware issue related to power button. Power button works perfectly fine in recovery, download mode and when awake.
Its a hardware issue that probably about the connection that sends wake up signal which maybe from motherboard side of the connection or maybe daughterboard side.
Not a real solution but I found a app called touch protector which has an option that you can disable the touch and set screen brightness to 0%, basically means normal off state for the amoled screens.
I set double click of volume down to sleep mode for touch protector. Maybe with some keymap editing someone can set powerbuttons function to not real sleep but touch protector's sleep. This will be best software solution.
In the hardware side if the problem is daughterboard it can be swapped easily but reflowing smd connecters in motherboard could be risky for me and I don't want to open the never opened device for not solving the problem.
