So, I bought the T because alot of developers said they will develop roms for it.
There aren't that many roms available but there is one that is AOSP. That ROM was posted in August 2012 and hasn't received any update yet
My question: why isn't there an AOSP ROM available for Xperia T? I would love to have AOSP stock rom on my T :x

I know development is a little dry here, but I'm sure things will start catching up soon. The available devs are actually quite busy with cm10/10.1. I know it can be look a little gloomy, especially if you are coming from a rather busy forum, but hold your horses coz you can't request for updates and ETAs
Hi together
Yesterday i got a S5 Mini. I'll use this device for testing and so on...
I searched for cm11 rom and i couldn't find any customrom
Are here other people interested in cm11 on s5 mini?
i never created a customrom til now, but i can help if
somebody needs infos about the device for creating
a cm11 customrom...
stiff
Absolutely!
I'm very interested! This is my only phone at the moment, though, so I can only take limited risks with its entrails.
It's coming eventually I have to finish the bugs we have on the similar device the galaxy light so far it boots .
Whooooo!!!!
Do you, by any chance, mean the G800H (Snapdragon)? I've read elsewhere that CM is unfeasible because of how closed Exynos is, but that's only in the G800F, I believe.
Edit: I got the chipset names confused... Please ignore my post! (PS: There is a G800H Duos solution).

count me in..
I have a S5 mini to test CM-M12
I'd really like to buy this phone, but it has to be rootable and flashable. Does anyone know about the other versions of the device that are talked about (G800M,G800Y)?
ROMS ...
I have the SM-G800F UK model and cannot yet find any roms ...
Maybe at Christmas.
We all wait very long.
Would we have the normal S5 we could 7 days a week flash another Rom.
Keeping Hope alive... :good:
CM 11 (or lollipop)
Are you saying that the 800F version is an Exynos Version and therefore can't be rooted etc.? So no custom ROM? I saw S5 lollipop previews and i seriously start to dislike the colors and modifications of Samsung.

No, both version can be rooted with cwm. The exynos version will have cyanogenmod I have cyanogenmod on the Galaxy Light which also has similar hardware. I'm getting the Galaxy light very soon so I can finish my cm port.

good news. maybe i misunderstood the previous information. i have the 800F version, so if anybody needs something, let me know - i'm not a Dev and might ask questions if I don't understand. cheers
EDIT:
Will it be CM11 (Android 4.4.4) or already CM12 (Android 5.0)?

I already have cm-11 booting on the Galaxy Light. I think I will move to cm-12 when I get at least radio and wifi working.
Hard to believe we'll be getting CM when we didn't even get any normal, simple ROM, with bloatware removed for example xD.
@Unjustified Dev
that sounds really great! i really miss cm on s5 mini.
thx a lot

i think the S5 Mini is in general a great device. perfect size if you don't like huge phones, specs are fine and a great camera for the specs it has. i have seen the lollipop previews and also how it runs / looks on nexus 5. i think the S5 Mini would run lollipop perfectly and it would finally show how good this phone is. but my hope lies in all CM and other Devs and not in Samsung - because the preview of the S5 and S4 with lollipop are just hideous. i would love a clean and lean android 5.0 experience. if those moto E's and G's can run so good with pure android, why shouldn't a samsung S5 mini without touchwiz and bloatware...
@wabre thats my opinon too. i hate the samsung bloatware, but the hardware is fine.
also i don't want a brick as phone. i tested the s5 and compared it with the s5 mini.
the result is, that the s5 mini has everything i need with the right size...
the only thing that i miss is cm on the s5 mini...

rooted
Have mine rooted with twrp, but still no roms available.
have cm11 on my old s3 mini cant wait for it on my s5 mini as thats my daily phone and cyanogen is a fast os.
Hi all!
In the past we have seen many ROMS which were ported with more or less modifications from the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
I just noticed that there are already some 5.0.2 builds for the SGT10.1.
Any chance to also get builds for our SGT8.9?
This would be awesome.
See for further infos:

Unfortunately it seems that the dev community for our beloved SGT 8.9 is a dying breed.
I'm using the SGH-I957 (LTE) variant, but the latest OS I could find was CM (based on Android 4.1.2). If you happen across any 4.2+ ROMs, please send them my way

Not sure if any developers here owns a Galaxy S6. If anyone able to port Ubuntu Touch latest to Galaxy S6 would be very appreciated.
I believe that roms of anything that isn't android will not work due to the Exynos processors not having their kernel sources released.

Excuse my ignorance as I don't have any development experience more than being a script kiddy, but was not the old Ubuntu Touch roms just sampling from CM11 sources for most of the drivers and kernel stuff?
As I say, I don't really know anything but I thought that was how it went. I don't care if there is an S6 ROM but I just want to see any port of Ubuntu touch on any device I have.
Edit: Actually it looks like it was CM10.1 for the old ones from like 2013.
Later they moved to CM11, and they may use 12 now, I'm not sure.
as the snapdragon s4pro and 600 are very similar and other than minor things the nexus 4 and m7 are close phones on the hardware level, how hard would it be to port this rom?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/orig-development/wip-aosp-7-0-nougat-t3448444
would someone be willing to give it a go?
I have not been in the dev scene since pre 5.0 and things have changed enough that it would be almost starting from scratch for me I figured someone with experience porting modern roms would be better suited for the task.
Why should someone port this rom? We have already two nice working 7.0 Roms for the M7 well both are not in final release yet but you can use Slim7 as daily driver its pretty good http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/orig-development/rom-slim-7-t348665. Porting a Rom is a lot of work and Slim7 is AOSP so i think thats better
Porting ROMs isn't that easy, even with similar hardware. Building AOSP-based ROMs isn't easy as well. I'm working on it since two months, but it has its complications. If you want stock-like Nougat ROMs, I highly recommend the Slim7 beta, which isn't loaded with a ton of apps, or wait until I figure out the build of Nougat ROMs and get a working build of AOSP-OMS (which is pure AOSP but using CyanogenMod's sources and build system, so it's easy to build for the m7)
