I would think that it would be the battery? give it a 10 minute charge and see if it starts
you do not need to turn your phone on for pccomapnaion to work.
Run pccompanion and run the software update and choose repair.
Only connect the phone when it prompts you

Xperia Z keeps rebooting on 'Sony'

Hi,
Recently my Sony Xperia Z device is showing some issues. One of them (to start with) is that the battery is dropping really hard from for example 40 percent to 13 percent. The strange thing is that it also goes up from (for example) 43 percent to 50 percent. These issues started when my phone got really warm from lying in the sun for a short period. It also doesn't charge properly when it is on the charger.
Now the real problem is that yesterday my phone got out of battery and it wont start up anymore. When I try to start up by holding the power button I don't get any response from it. When I put it on the charger it keeps restarting/rebooting on the 'Sony' logo. The device keeps doing this without doing anything else.
I've tried to flash the device with the Sony Update Service, without any luck.
I am really out of ideas and I'm hoping that you guys could help me.
Greetings,
Kay.

Maybe get your battery replaced, it's not expensive to do so and it improves the battery life as well since the used batteries get worse overtime.

Xperia T - Bricked?

Hi guys,
I have an old Xperia T which was in the middle of being flashed with a 4.3 based firmware but there was a problem with the install. I didn't care too much at the time because i already had a new phone, but now I'm trying to get it working again as a possible backup.
My problem with it now is that when i switch it on, it will display the Sony logo and then the screen goes black, apparently freezing. I have tried to charge it overnight but the light always stays red, never goes green. When i try to connect via my laptop (Windows 8.1) i can't get the laptop to read the phone, the USB will bring up the red light on the phone and the phone will even boot to the Sony logo but then....well, nothing. I have also tried booting into recovery but again nothing.
I'm not expecting a wonder fix, i think the phone is maybe bricked but at the same time i haven't the most knowledge on these matters. I have Googled various sites that have similar problems with different models and each one seems to be fixed with the Sony PC Companion - but like i said, my laptop doesn't even recognise there's a device plugged in.
If anyone has any suggestions it'd be appreciated, but like i said, i don't expect to find a cure, just hoping i can say i haven't bricked a phone like a n00b
Thanks for your time
Dude ... relax.
If the phone still shows the SONY logo, nothing is lost.
Step 1: Download Flashtool: http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
Step 2: Download an appropriate Firmware in the FTF format from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2648320
Step 3: Ensure the driver for the phone is installed and works correctly.
Step 5: In Flashtool, select the lightning "Flash device", then Flashmode. Select your folder where you store the Firmware.
Step 6: Click the flash button and turn off your phone. If you connect it via USB to your PC, press immediately POWER + VOLUME DOWN. The notification LED turns green and the flash process begins.

Bricked my Xperia SP after flashing Cyanogenmod 13

Hi guys, this is my first time trying to flash a smartphone and i had no luck. After i press the power button nothing happens, only a small vibration and a little green led blink. :crying:
I'm trying to flash the stock ROM through Flashtool but my Xperia SP keeps disconnecting and connecting after a minute in Flash mode, the green light turn OFF for a second then ON again every minute. But if connected in Fastboot mode the device keeps connected normal but I cant select the .FTF file. I have no idea what to do now.
I bought it last year second hand its my first smartphone im broke as **** i cant believe its not working anymore. My last phone was a Nokia 5310 that i used until decomposition, literally. Sorry for bad english.
Please help.
share the instructions that you followed.
Did you root your phone and unlocked the bootloader, installed recovery ?
it is possible that your drivers are not properly installed, try using windows 7
I have similar issue but phone is not bricked it's charging really really slowly. And I don't know issue of it? If someone can link some room that don't have this issue that would be g8.

Flashed X Performance to XZ's. Won't boot, and cannot flash it again.

I was flashed X Perf. to XZs and won't work. flash mode too cannot work, only blinking green light, like a boot into flashmode and connect to pc, over and over. and nothing. pc don't see any device, like i did not booted into flashmode.
fastboot working, unlocked after bootloader, can flash, but wont flash custom rom, says size too large, before is flash properly already file.
i can erase all, can format all, twrp won't work properly. but can flash custom rom. when i flash rom, device gonna reboot over and over. and won't boot on.
i think maybe problem is in root memory of the phone, where is basic informations for next systems and data's. maybe if can someone backup all of that data's, and share, we can ressurrect our x per. who have same problem...
i don't know. if sombody knows how to ressurrect anwer there, or any help.
thanks for all

i was flash, stock xz's rom, to x performance, and thats it
any solution ???
And u have bricked phone
1. I honestly wana flash XZ rom on XZs to try! since both are very similar devices!
2. wrong kernel means! device is STUCK on black screen! / sony makes beasts, / not easily to hard brick
3. PRESS POWER + VOLUME UP keys together and hold for 15+ secons untill xzs JERKS thrice! , release both button atonce,
4. now device is FORCE SHUTDOWN out from any bad flashing!
5. try connecting it in to flashmode now! , it should work! ,
6. if you ever able to boot in XZ or X, (android 6.01) build, try extracting drmkeys from xzs , you will be doing something WONDER !!!
7. if everything fails, the rubber band trick works! , tie across (horizontally) the xzs in a way that volume downkey is always pressed by rubber band. keep it overnight. the battery will drainout to zero and device will sleep. then connect to wallcharger, charge it overnight untill u see red blinking led and finally red led then NO led. at this point try connecting your device in flash mode
NEVER BOOT AGAIN! once you are out from this kernel! whenever device shuts down, immediatel connect it in flashmode

I can tell you a nice news, you're done with SONY. I think u can only revert ur phone if u change mother board, or maybe in test mode, i was not tried, im sold my bricked phone...
If u don't do it anything, collect money and buy some other brand... I moved on S8+. Big difference bettwen SONY, and Samsung is not great eithter, they appeared in circles under touch glass, but does not bother... "Difference is big"
P.S. Never try to flash/convert phone of different model number, to another. Advice, if buying new phone, look for international version.. no Japan, or China, or Korea models. Only Inter... Like (f8131, 8132[dual-sim], SM-G955F/FD... etc) and u will ged always newest firmware, and community, if u dont have latest, than flash... (flash other region which have latest already), but now u will not brick phone. Good luck
you are 100 percent right.
by the way i flashed many sony phone converting it to international but this x performance gave me a headache now. i took it to the software repairer and according to him the boot loader file is missing and cannot be found on internet so far. so the set is bricked right now and left it like it to the repairer shop and expecting may be any solution. but i guess nothing going to change any thing
will check how much i m getting if i sell it like in this condition
