Because you don't have to... The updates are not being rolled out at the same time in every region (by that I mean, Eastern/Central and Western Europe has both C432 and in Central Europe, I have noticed that we get the updates with a noticeable delay). Plus, sometimes you need the firmware because you need to unbrick, reflash, or extract something from the ROM image, this thread serves for these purposes too.

My model is VNS-L21C185B130, double sim, can i download an d update to this version

OTA rollout seems to be very slow-paced, here in Italy (region C432) people is still stuck to B131 and IIRC B151 came out more than 15 days ago.
I'm quite happy someone is publishing firmware updates her on xda

How can I install the update.zip? Do I need twrp?

Considering you only want to update, and you have a correct firmware version, extract the UPDATE.APP file to a folder called "dload" (without quotation marks) that you create in your internal storage. After that, reboot your phone.

Just installed with TWRP and all fine!
Seems to be faster!

Whenever you flash a new update, you lose root and recovery. The bootloader remains unlocked, so just flash twrp again and root again.

I just updated my phone from VNS-L21C432B130 to VNS-L21C432B151 and I dont know am I wrong, but it seems that the battery discharges faster on VNS-L21C432B151 then on VNS-L21C432B130

I have a problem, since I bought my p9 I did not receive any update I see now many people receiving official emui 5 update.. I really can not find any information if there is any chance to update the official firmware manually? So how? I still have the security update even from July.. It is really annoying..
I have my phone from operator Plus in Poland.

Same here, tried manual update but fail. There is in firmware finder some resulta for us but don't work, Maybe because it isnt the full zip

You can change the oem info and change the rom to C432bxxz and that was you will get the update earlier

Guys anybody knows in Huawei devices how we can change firmware? Without root or some custome Roms. Just original firmware..

I have a free huawei p9 EVA-L09C605B320 with Nougat Beta but I want to now if it's possible to install the room L09C432B360 and how can I do it. If anybody now please help me. I have tried with huawei updater but it shows error and manually it says the version isn't compatible.

Even Huawei do not know when Nougat its coming out for the Mediapad M3 (BTV-W09B)

I emailed Huawei regarding the Nougat update for EU Mediapad M3's (BTV-W09B) and they don't know when it will be. I am not really impressed as Nougat has been out 10 months now. No doubt the EMUI 'enhancements' slow down development.
I really like the tablet but this does not bode well for the future. Let hope that some custom Roms can be developed in the mean time.

Same answer for BTV-DL09, from Huawei Romania.
You can update your tablet via Firmware Finder, to B301 (for BTV-W09). it is Nougat, everything ist working properly.
I have B302 (for BTV-DL09) and have no issues, tablet is working even better

Hi 30adi, do you know if I can flash europe rom on my US device? My device has a model code BTV-W09C128, not sure if I can flash roms for BTV-W09C100

No, you can't. You need to change region to C100. I have no idea how it can be done. For other Huawei products it is possible, they have more support from developers.

Are you sure or only spamming aroud FUD?
In my experience you can safely install a ROM of different region if for the same HW.

Why should I spam? I have no interest on spamming here...
Check other Huawei threads and you will see that people are using tools to change region.
If you know how it's done, people here are waiting for a tutorial. Explain them how it's made.
I do not need, as I already have the EU version and running 7.0.

I have just had a new one appear on Firmware Finder dated 6/6/2017, its BTV-W09C100B302 (FullOTA-MF-P 87280) 2.38GB. I am a bit cautious to flash it as this is my only working tablet at the moment.

there are instructions in pg 11 to backup and change regions in the update emui 5 thread. post #108. worked for me. ive switched between euro to south east asia.

I tried updating my tablet (BTV-DL09) to latest firmware but it is not working. Firmware Finder finds B303 update, but when i try to install it, authentication error ist coming. I am on B302 now.

I have an EU model and no update. Must be phased. According to Firmware Finder the latest is 303 not 302 for Europe.

I take it back its 302.

European LTE model has version B303. WIFI version B302.

in middle east the update is awful , when i restore the backup from cris my device build number had been change to lx1 it was la1 so my device get updated to fast , so i hope we will get O as soon as possible

I know that Android 8 on Honor 6x will come. Both devices have the same system. If Android 8 should not come for the PRA, I can port it quite simply from 6x.

So, why we had not receive, and we'll never receive, the 5.1 update...?
I'm not so sure that the P8 Lite 2017 will recive the Android 8 update.
Huawei's policy about updates is pretty clear: they don't guarantee updates to newer Android versions but only patches for 2 years.
I really hope we'll receive Oreo, but I'm pretty sceptic until Huawei will not officially announce it.

if this one is single sim is ok, I won't to install dual again then..

A few members in the Honor 6X forum met up with Honor/Huawei representatives in Delhi in August and they confirmed that the 6X will receive Android Oreo/EMUI 6 by the end of 2017/ January 2018 at the latest. So good news for us!

I asked Huawei about this on Facebook and they said there's no info available yet. But we should get it, it's a 2017 device, that already shipped with nougat.

It does not exist at the moment. Hopeful some can provide the link in early Dec.

There is a good chance it won't be any time soon, the Mi Mix was removed from the second batch of MiUI 9 Open beta / Global Stable.
