I heard many good things about them but I'm bit hesitant to order because of the $16.99 shipping cost.
So about $33 with front LCD and camera lens protector.
I will get my Nexus S this weekend so I ordered the TPU case from eBay but I still haven't gotten the screen protector yet.
Any previous experiences or recommendations?
I've used Martin Fields screen protectors on almost all of my gadgets in the last few years. I've yet to grab one for the Nexus but it's on my list of things to do.
They are washable if you have a lot of patience and are willing to use tape to remove all the dust and debris that might gather while it dries. Same goes for the installation - be very patient and very careful. The results are more than worth it though. Never had a scratch on my screens and you can't even tell that it's there.
Martin Fields
I ordered one so we shall see :]
Bit late but thought I'd pipe in - I love Martin Fields and think they are the best.
They even include protectors for things like the flash on your camera (not sure if they do for this specific model).
Brillliant quality and clarity.
Only wish it was anti-finger print.
I got one today for the Nexus S, terrible fit, it is a good 3mm too short and about 1mm too narrow.
some pics here: imgur.com/a/xSe6D
Yea that is pretty bad. I got a free screen protector with my case that's similar to martin fields (a lot crappier obviously) but it fits better but peels up at the edges due to the rounded glass of the phone... so I guess that's why martin fields decided to not make it go out to the edges.
Guess the best solution is to get a wet-type screen protector a la ghost armor/zagg =\

I think your hypothesis of Martin Fields avoiding the curved edges of the glass has merit. Their screen protectors are very rigid and don't like to bend or curve around anything. I'm guessing that if they made it longer it wouldn't adhere properly. I suppose that is the compromise for such a scratch resistant surface.
Well I emailed them and they said it was because of the nexus s curved screen, I personally can't see why it would needed to fall so short of the edges.
Sent from my Nexus S
So t doesn't peel up like the rest of the "hard" screen protectors. I've been through a few and they all suffer from the same problem at the edges.

Even though the peel look is there, dust doesn't get inside (using without a case). That's my experience with it anyways. Although it does get a bit annoying sometimes whenever I see it, but I try to put it under the case.
Well, haven't seen a Realook screen protector review here on XDA.
Realook is a CA/South Korea based company who creates high quality dry screen protectors for phones.
I've used them for pretty much all my products. Cell phones, cameras etc...
Customer service is excellent and you can find their products on amazon.
First off, like all dry screen protectors (except for the tempered glass kind) for the Galaxy note 2, this SP doesn't go edge-to-edge.
If you want edge-to-edge, you can stop reading here and move on to a wet screen protector. I avoided
the edge-to-edge wet screen protector for the GN2 because of the s pen.
I also avoided the tempered glass because a.) its expensive as hell and b.) sensitivity drastically drops (according to users).
I've been told by Realook that a curved dry screen protector will be offered soon (edge-to-edge). As soon as I get a hold of one, i'll definitely be doing a review.
On to the review...
When you receive the package, there are two screen protectors, a micro cloth, alcohol wipe, and a plastic measuring sheet.
It is well packaged in a nice plastic envelope.
I've done TONS of screen protectors installs and as long as the screen protector is cut out like the screen, you can use my tape trick method.
After you line up the screen protector perfectly, tape down one end. Then quickly peel back and lay down. 100% perfect every time.
I normally do this in the bathroom after taking a hot shower to create steam and lessen the effects of dust under the SP.
The screen sensitivity is not effected, it is optically clear, and s-pen works perfectly.
Pictures do all the explaining.
In all reality, the gap around the edge isn't THAT bad considering that the screen is HUGE and most of it is covered.
clarity: 9/10
screen sensitivity: 9/10
price: 9/10
Customer service: 10/10
Even though we have gorilla glass 2, I always advise to use a SP.
Let me know if you have any questions about the SP.
Don't hesitate to purchase this SP as the quality is there and there is ZERO lift around the SP.
now the pictures!
Kudos
Thanks for the review! I was hoping to see one of these reviews on XDA soon.
I have a few questions:
- Do you see the rainbow effect on this protector? What about Orange Peel?
- Is this protector a finger-print magnet?
- How well does the protector do with dust? When applying the protector, are dust particles easily attracted by the adhesive side of the screen protector (I've had this problem many times with SGP)?
- How difficult is it to smudge this particular screen protector? Is it easy to make fine scratches on the protector (especially with the S-Pen)?
- Is this screen protector a 100% bubble-free installation; provided you use a squeegee?
I've used Capdase Klia Screen Protector before (Made in China) and the installation was easy; no bubbles on the first application; and the screen protector has anti-scratch and anti-finger-print properties; at the same time, it is Crystal Clear / Glossy; doesn't even look like a screen protector is applied on the actual screen. From what I just described, can you say the Realook Crystal Clear Protector is similar to Capdase?
Please let me know. Thanks again.

There is a VERY slight RB effect in the beginning. After ive used it for a bit, I dont notice it.
ZERO orange peel.
Yes this does attract finger prints. Its not antiglare nor has an oleophobic coating.
Simple wipe clears the finger prints.
as far as dust, try my method and do it in a bathroom after taking a shower. The moisture in the air settles the dust.
I'm sure over Time all screen protectors will eventually scratch.
As for capdase, I cant comment on it since I've Never used their products.
I've always use realook for my gadgets.
The squeegee should work. If you're going to use a card/squeegee, dont take the front layer off before installling eventhough the tabs say so. Keeping the first layer on will allow you to use the card/squeegee without worrying about scratching the sp.

I tried to look for Realook for note 2 on ebay, it clearly said on the pic, that it's anti fingerprint, anti glare, oleophobic on the packaging.
Do they have different kind or it's a false advertisement?

Don't worry; even though I haven't received mine yet, I'm sure you will be happy. The film product is Made in Korea, and the quality has to exceed expectations. I purchased Capdase long time back and it mentioned Crystal Clear; however, it had anti-fingerprint and anti-oil properties. I would expect the same from Realook "to some extent." :victory:

As with any phone, this is a pretty hot topic and I expect no less from this phone.
Please share your experiences with tempered glass screen protectors in this thread so they do not clutter the forum.
Coming from the Nexus 6, tempered glass screen protectors were a nightmare . the curved screen made them have a halo effect and caused proximity sensor issues. I'm hoping this phone is not going to be the same.
Personally I just ordered the Spigen glass.tr slim for my phone.. It can be found for 9.99 + free shipping on amazon currently. I will be reporting back with my review once I receive it and my phone.
I've had bad luck with the tempered glass protectors. On both my Nexus 5 and my Nikon DSLR, I've had the tempered glass break - no damage to the screens themselves, just broken screen protectors. No thanks.
I'd say they did their job then ... Seems they protected your phone from breakinh

Yeah, lots of folks like them, I've just had bad luck. One on a DSLR, one on a phone, both from reputable manufacturers, and a couple years apart. Neither lasted two months, and I do baby my gear. Weird.
I've had a tempered glass protector on my Galaxy S5 and have had to replace it once do to a crack straight across due to a fall. And yes, the actual screen is perfectly fine. I already received my Spigen tempered glass protector in the mail.

They can get scratched I promise, anything with quartz in it like sand, dirt etc will scratch it. I like the Spigen one because they are generally good for the price
My laid my spigen on top of my Cruzerlite bugdroid case to get an idea of coverage and it appears as though the screen protector goes edge to edge..leaving just barely enough room for a lip on a case

Usually they are 0.3mm thick so not really thickness and the weight is negligible
Decided I shouldn't go without a screen protector, looks like the tempered glass ones won't work well because the screen in curved on the edges. Anyone have experience with or can recommend a good one? I often see suggestions on here that I couldn't find on my own and I'm thinking one of you guys can help.
By the way i went with this case:

I like it except that the camera and volume buttons aren't cut outs. It fits the phone well.
I appreciate any suggestions.
Same boat as you. The ones offered Amazon all seem to complain about them being too thin, bezel to bezel.

Nillkin has crappy cases for F5321 that offer little more than scratch protection, and you're incessant advertising for them across the all the device boards is obvious, so you can hardly be considered objective. I decided to go with the Skinomi as well, put it on my XC yesterday. Very happy with the results, it's been a while since I have used a non-tempered glass screen protector and for some reason I was expecting the touch screen to be hard to use and the experience generally unpleasant. I saw those but have seen to many negative things about G Color protectors to ever try one out myself. Lots of videos on youtube about them being crap.
I got these ones from ebay and they're a perfect fit. Quite easy to apply and cover right to the edge of the curved screen.
Worthwhile watching the video before starting. It's been on a few weeks now and no finger marks and the feel is good

I ordered one of those g color protectors yesterday. I'll be that guy that tests it. Should get it sunday. If its moot I'll try that skinomi one. I kinda want the skinomi one just for the rear protector.
edit: Ok got it in yesterday. Packaging was nice and it came with the normal included things. Putting it on was kind of a pain in the ass. This was mostly contributed to the curved screen but it is doable with some patience. I messed up putting it on the first time and lifted it up gently and repositioned it. The adhesive was just as sticky as the first time so there is room for error. I have a cheap jelly case off amazon on it currently until my devil case comes in from overseas but it does not have any conflict with the screen protector as long as you get it on next to perfect.
Clarity is good except for one small small detail and another really annoying detail. The small detail is you can see a line around the boarder between the glass and the "carbon fiber". While annoying I can understand that it's 2 different materials and I don't see how you couldn't have that problem. The really annoying one is it cuts off some pixels on both sides of the screen. It isn't really noticeable until i use reddit sync which then when viewing the comments it becomes apparent. It kinda irritates me but for the moment I'd rather have a couple of blocked off pixels then the screen exposed.
I give it a 6/10 mostly because of the cut off pixels. If it wasn't for that my initial rating would be more of a 8 or a 9/10. I will comment later on down the road if I experience the adhesive pulling up.

Lol, I am positive I saw your review on Amazon when I left mine (we also have the same case). Anyhow, although I disagree with the installation, I agree with everything else. Installation for me was slightly confusing, but really easy once I understood what to do. Air bubbles were a pain to get out, but that's to be expected. As for the quality, it's perfectly fine except for your two points. Mostly your second point: the pixel cutoff. While definitely bearable and not very noticeable most of the time, in certain apps it really is irritatingly noticeable. I would have to recommend against getting this screen protector and waiting until a better one comes out. I'm keeping it on until I find a really good case and/or a better glass screen protector.
Has anyone tried the Nillkin "Amazing H tempered glass screen protector"? Would really like to know if it's any good because I enjoy their frosted case.
Looks like Devilcase now offers a curved glass screen protector: http://www.twdevilcase.com/en/index.php?menu=prod_detail&mid=21&did=7&pid=5280&list=class
BTW, their case for this phone is really thick. Not as stylish as their early, asymmetrical cases :/

I got these ones from ebay and they're a perfect fit. Quite easy to apply and cover right to the edge of the curved screen.
Worthwhile watching the video before starting. It's been on a few weeks now and no finger marks and the feel is good

This is not great, but is the best I've found so far. It's not got perfect adhesion on the edges, but I've tried the super soft screen protector, flat glass and curved glass with glue only on the edges so dirt gets under it. I'd love to find a curved glass one that has glue all over it instead of just a tiny but around the edges.
I'm also looking for a curved screen protector that "glues" properly (direct contact) to the entire screen, not just the edges.
It doesn't have to be tempered glass either, simple cheap TPU would work fine.
The ebay one mentioned above doesn't ship outside of UK, so it's no good for me.

I have a problem with that screen protector, it turns proximity sensor always on, so you can't access the phone in call.
When I removed the devilcase curved glass screen protector, the proximity sensor starts to work again.
Seems that roxfit screen protector has similar issue.

I just received an IQ Shield Matte screen protector and I'm really disappointed. It screws up the colors and whites have a rainbow effect to them. I took it off and now I'm looking for a new one. I'd like one that is:
1. Anti-glare
2. Anti-fingerprint
3. Clear and doesn't screw with this beautiful display.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance!
Thee one and only,,,,but more importantly expensive whitestone dome screen protector is probably the most I've heard of working...45 to 50 dollars tho
Any you can recommend about $20 and under?
First I tried the Spigen NeoFlex film screen protectors and they are garbage. Then I ordered a cheapo full cover tempered glass screen protector from eBay and it works great.

I've only been using it for about a week so I can't say how well it will keep dust out. Sensitivity is great, I don't notice it's on at all. It's not Anti-glare or Anti-fingerprint but it's only $8.
I'm using the i-blason tempered glass.
Under $20, it's still on, doesn't interfere with the screen.
It's still going to collect fingerprints and smudges due to the oils in our skin, but it wipes off easily.

thats becuz the neoflex is a rubber 3m film, not plasti-glass. i honestly like Spigen Neoflex screen protector. only downfall is using the pen on it leaves lines where youve drawn .. but cant be felt by your touch

Somebody got a knock off, I read. The screen protector he got was plastic instead of glass.

Oh wow that sucks but for some reason YouTubers recommend this for s8 and note 8 idk man it looks promising but yeah that warning I've never seen before
There are plenty of discussions under the accessories section
But I'd say don't bother. I had one tempered glass protector on for an hour before it annoyed me too much and I removed it! Destroys the feel and use of the phone.
I have been buying the RhinoShield stuff for my stuff and its held up really well for me.
rhinoshield.io is where you'll find it.. (I havn't logged in long enough that I forgot my account info :/ )
edit: found my login info so now I can add the link:
https://rhinoshield.io/collections/samsung-galaxy-note-8
Plus, nobody else's stuff has any evidence that even suggests it actually works.
I havn't tried it for the note8 but I came by this thread while I was researching if anyone had so figure I'd mention it. It is expensive to get the whole kit (screen protector, bumper, and in this case rear glass protector), but I found it worth it..
I have a cheapo '2.5D' glass and its doing well. Touch response is worse mind.
There is a speaker hole at the top; this needs covering with a bit of tape or you wil get dust between the screen and the protector.

I purchased a relatively inexpensive TG protector. While it exhibits many of the drawbacks of TG protectors that aren't full-adhesive (i.e. all of them except the Whitestone Dome), it doesn't have quite the "rainbow effect" that I've seen with other protectors.
Its real downside, though, is its slickness ... I need a more paper-like surface to better control the s-pen. Just the tiniest bit of friction would help. I'm thinking that I may have to go to a film protector rather than TG to get that, though. Does anyone else have this issue with TG protectors?

Ever since the introduction of the edge curved screen (and I have owned the lot) I have never found a decent screen saver. It is a subject on every forum here on XDA and concerning all the Samsung edge models.
I have taken recommendations only to find them useless. Some use a glue, some have a dotted appearance after application some just suck period!
I used a partial screen saver once that just covered the centre of the screen but even that proved awful. Even used Samsungs own on the Note 7 and though that was not glass it also was horrible.
If any peer here does find a working screen protector PLEASE let us know.

Whitestone is the best.
I like the Spigen NeoFlex, it's been great so far for me. Went on easily, hasn't peeled off the corners/edge (and I use the Spigen Tough Armor case) and after the 12 hours to settle on the screen it looks great and writing on it with the s-pen feels good too. My personal opinion and the only one I've tried so far on my Note 8

Can the Whiitestone be removed once it's been glued to the Screen?
yes
I got the Bodyguardz glass protector sold to me at the AT&T store (lazy me). The guy installed it and it's ok. Glass protectors have an innate problem in that they sometimes don't transmit touches to the touchscreen itself. This one is no different but it does fit well. And it has a lifetime free replacement policy. I'll keep it to protect my screen.
