My friend bricked is Galaxy S5 and nothing seems to be working.
The galaxy S5 is a 16GB white at&t model running on Verizon service. It boots but gets stuck on (Galaxy S5 Screen) I am able to boot into recovery but it cannot read any SD cards ( error: E: failed to mount /sdcard (no such file or directory) and shows up empty) and I dont know how to set up adb drivers and fast boot. I am able to boot into download mode. Please, any help will be appreciated!
EDIT: I have gotten the SD card slot to work.
Is your friends S5 still stuck in bootloop? If so then boot into download mode, open odin on pc , plug phone into computer and check to see if it is recognized by Odin. If you can confirm that the device is recognized then download the proper stock firmware for CDMA s5, if available and flash with Odin.
How did your friend brick his S5? Both At&t and Verizon variants have locked bootloaders and require a different method than gsm devices to acquire root.

Hey guys,
I'm on a rooted ROM right now that appears to be corrupt in some way as I don't have USB effectively working at all. All of the ROM load instructions that I have found require the new ROMs to be loaded through Heimdall or Odin, neither of which recognize my Tab turned on normally or in download mode.
When I connect my tab to my computer, it is not recognized by my device manager, even though I have installed the Samsung drivers and the latest version of Kies. I have tried wiping the Tab through recovery, but this doesn't help either. Trying to mount the SD card initially gives me an error message that the gallery force closed. Subsequent tries to mount the SD look good on the Tablet, but don't register on my computer.
Other devices (Motorola droid, HTC Thunderbolt, and Samsung Fascinate) all work fine and I've been able to root without any troubles. Other than this problem, the tablet appears to work properly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Seth
currently there isn't a working version of CWM for the CDMA tabs, so really Odin and Heimdall (better option) are the only ways to currently flash stock or custom roms/kernels. You might want to try the driver installer that comes with Heimdall, as that can force install the drivers. I've had to do it a couple times on different pc's before I could get anything to work.
I recently installed Cyanogenmod on my Samsung Galaxy Mini (tass) unsuccessfully using adb push and install and then adb sideload. Both methods didn't work. When I booted the phone up, it came up with the usual bootlogo but didn't boot into Cyanogenmod. It just said 'A N D R O I D' in the middle right of the screen. Also, when I boot it into download mode, it says on my computer 'This device has malfunctioned, please try reconnecting it.' It doesn't connect to Kies either. Does anyone know how to reinstall stock firmware or even better, know how to install Cyanogenmod successfully?
Device = S5570 (Europe)
If someone can help me out I need a debrick image. Many people have the same problem and can't use the device.
I have SM-G920A 64gb. The message on the screen " System software not authorized by at&t has been found on your phone"
I can't boot and recovery not working. Only download mode still working. When I go to download mode it shows custom status of firmware and recovery.
I've already tried flash G920AUCU3BOJ7_ATT3BOJ7_AT&T_USA_v5.1.1_Repair_Firm ware
then Stock Firmware G920AUCS4CPF1, G920AUCS4CPG1
Tried to flash with PIT - no luck.
Original cable from the box, Samsung drivers installed on computer.
Used KIES, SmartSwitch, ODIN - no luck, always message on the screen " System software not authorized by at&t has been found on your phone"
I have found debrick file for SM-G900A (galaxy S5), and my last chance is your help guys, because I cannot create the same file for my S6.

In the file linked above I've found NON-hlos.bin and I can't create it for my S6.
I believe you can help me! Thanks

Hello Community,
The last days I've tried to renew my Samsung Galaxy S Plus for a friend.
I realized that the phone stuck into bootloop.
The phone boots up the Samsung Logo then it starts to load Cyanogenmod but fail and goes into TWRP boot screen.
But the TWRP boot logo always bootloops and won't start.
I want to fix the phone now and could enter:
DOWNLOAD MODE
RAWDUMP MODE
The next problem when I connect the phone to my PC, with Download mode the message appear: "usb device not recognized"
I have also installed KIES from this Page: "http://www.samsung.com/de/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/" it is for Devices until 4.2.2
I tried some things from this page: "https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2307292"
When I open Odin and select start, after adding every file it says that "A Phone isn't connected"
I want to unbrick the device and dont know how :/ re there any other solutions or did I something wrong?
INFORMATIONS:
I am using a PS4 cable to connect the phone it's the same as any other and I don't have another cable.
I am on Windows 10 64bit.
On the Device is CM installed but wrong and I dont know which one cause it wont boot into it.
I've installed TWRP Recovery but it's broken like I said.
Hello, recently I buyed a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500 phone. I read xda-developers articles to root, and can't root it. I use Linux in my computer, but have a Live HBCD WinXp boot. S4 is booted in download mode with USB Depuration checked and Verify USB Apps unchecked.
With Live HBCD WinXp I install samsung drivers. Putting S4 into download mode runs right and WinXp device manager recognizes the Samsung device. Error is opening Odin 1.85 or Odin 3.04. Odin can not open communications port with S4 to flash image.
With Linux Mint 17.3 Samsung device is recognised in dmesg command. using Heimdall 1.4.0 (Ubuntu), commandline or frontend, can not send data to S4.
I can not root S4 phone.
Anyone can help?
Thanks.

After readed link, solved in bad way. I need to instal windows to flash with odin, heimdall in linux does not detect two hardware devices in phone like odin (total of three hardware devices in phone).
Using odin i can not flash with cwm recovery. Flash is successfull but can't start cwm recovery. After pushing buttons s4 loops in start and restart itself. But cf-autorun runs fine, not much like cwm recovery, but enough in this case. Cwm recovery is better.
Thank you.
