I installed the following ROM,gapps and recovery using the latest TP Toolbox over a stock WebOS install.
cm-11-20140913-SNAPSHOT-jcsullins-tenderloin.zip
gapps-kk-20140105-signed.zip
update-TWRP-jcs-dm-tenderloin-20140612b.zip
I want to get to Evervolv installed from here, is there a recommended ROM, gapps, and recovery set that I can use to get to evervolv. I was able to install flintmams 2.8.3 Selinux recovery, but it could not see bunch of directories including ttinstall, so irverted back to the above.
thanks,

Using Clockwork, I was able to get Cyan6 on my phone but whenever I opted to include Froyo GApps in the download ROM part, I got "corrupt zip" error multiple times. Now I am running Cyan6 just fine , minus the Market et al. Any ideas?
You can get the current version of the Gapps add-on here:
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/files/file/119-google-addon-hdpi-20101008/
Flash the downloaded zip either from ROM Manager or from custom recovery.

ROM Manager / Custom Recovery, unable to recognize zip. Says (bad). However, on going back to ROM Manager, was able to download and flash. Thanks for the lead though
I did notice that reboots .... haphazard I should say are happening on device now. It's fast too, {compared to stock} esp when I try to download certain apps from market....will download fine, but when the installing dialogue appears on the menu bar, it reboots. Thoughts..
No idea, sounds like something is amiss. Is it possible you have an HBOOT version that isn't playing nice with the method you used to flash custom recovery and CM6? Are you running a Froyo radio version that is compatible with CM6?
OH - and I almost forgot - did you wipe data/cache when you installed CM6? If you didn't then you may find that CM6 boots up but acts very strange and would give you a world of problems.
Wiped data and cache and that did it. Thanks.

I deleted my Rom Manager in an attempt to refresh and install the pro version. I did this by using the force uninstall from TB, which actually did not remove it, but then I did remove it normaly via the TB remove app feature (not force uninstal). Now when I try install the rom, it will not load. I do not get any errors when I try to install it. It is just is not there / cant be seen by any app or in a directory. Any suggestions on how to fix this??? Are there any alternative apps???
Just fyi - I am also unable to install the latest CM7 version. It gets to the CM7 boot screen, but hangs on it ofr more than an hour with no progress. Just fro clarification, I have since reloaded the latest CM6 version, to see if Rom Manager would install, but it still wouldn't.
Current phone is a Sprint Hero, running the latest CM6 Version.
when you reloaded CM6, did you restore a backup or did you wipe everything and reload a fresh image?
I had a problem using ROM Mgr when I tried to flash the recovery. Ended up it wouldn't boot into recovery and after that it wouldn't flash the recovery anymore. I was able to flash the alternate ra recovery, wipe factory data/cache & davlik cache, reload clean CM6.1 with latest gapps. Still the ROM Mgr was goofy. I used the fix permissions tool in ROM Mgr and it finally allowed me to flash the CWM recovery (2.5.0.7) successfully and reboot into recovery mode. Maybe the fix permissions or making sure everything (besides your SD card) is wiped would help? Or, try using the ra recovery to load your CM7 image (not sure if that is supported).

You need to do a full wipe of absolutely everything and then update your recovery image. Do a fresh download(try from a mirror) of the latest CM7 version. Make sure that everything is fully wiped and you wipe your system, cache, data and davlik-cache. Do the wipe TWICE.
Once you are flashing CM7, make sure you only flash the rom first and then boot up and see if it goes through.
Thanks for the info, Waffle_.. So to just clarify... I need to:
1. wipe everything twice
2. get a fresh download of cm7
3. then install cm7
What do you mean by "Once you are flashing CM7, make sure you only flash the rom first" -- Like make sure it boots up before installing anything else????
Thanks!

Yes.
Meaning, when you flash the rom, don't flash gapps or anything else. Flash the rom only, then reboot and make sure it runs. And then you can go back and flash gapps, etc.
Hi everyone. I'm new to the touch pad, but I have a lot of experience with the Epic4G from Sprint using CWM and flashing zip files. I have preware installed in my webos, and I have CM9 installed as well.
I've spent a few days reading threads here, but haven't been able to flash anything. I think I must be missing something.
Nothing happens when I flash zip files in CWM. I reboot to recovery, flash the zip file, wipe caches, but nothing is changed when I reboot the system. Been trying to install the unofficial with the working camera, and the oc kernel.
Thanks for any help.

Did you check md5s on the zips? Also, is your recovery updated?
As soon as I post a request for help, it works. Of course. Lol.
Yeah, I'm not sure what worked this time, but since I posted previously I set manual flash override in ROM Manager and installed the CM9 unofficial preview 7, the preview 9 update, and gapps, all went. I also installed the kernel that I mentioned, but it got stuck in a boot loop after and had to do the ROM over again.

Last 3-4 days I had been searching all over the net but couldn't make a solution. My GT-N7000 phone is running on stock ROM N7000ODDLSC_N7000DDLS6_INU (4.1.2). I want to install any custom rom like CARBON, CyanogenMOD, OmniROM, etc. So I followed following steps:
1. Rooted my phone with "Root_SuperSU.0.98-Busybox.1.20.2-signed.zip" from stock recovery.
2. Then faced a lot of difficulty in installing a custom recovery (CWM). (I went through ROM Manager....failed, downloaded recovery zip and img file both and tried to install through recovery and/or adb update....all failed
3. Later on I got a custom CWM recovery (temporary) "recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5-galaxys2 (Temp).zip" and tried the folowing steps:
a. Wipping cashe partition, delvic cache, facory reset for installing new ROM
b. Installing zip from sdcard>select: "omni-4.4.2-20140313-n7000-NIGHTLY.zip"............then its giving status 7 error
4. Also I tried with CWM touch recovery but also same kind of error.
.................can anyone provide me any kind of solution????
Perhaps you need a newer clockwork mod version...

I can.
From stock recovery, install any of these kernels.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191
Then reboot the phone back into the new recovery. and install this.
http://goo.im/devs/chasmodo/Asylum-Omni/n7000/kernel/raw_kernel_r4_j43.zip
Reboot into recovery again, and now install rom.
Keep in mind that the recovery of the galaxy note is build into the kernel.

I can't install any recovery from my stock recovery. It shows E:/Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip (Status 7). Again the cwm recoveries that are in *.img format requires my phone (GT-N7000) to start in fastboot mode. I don't know how to do that. Again I tried to install recovery from ROM Manager. The latest recovery is "ClockworkMod 6.0.4.3". But when i reboot into recovery....it wont start...after trying for sometime, shut down automatically.

So you didn't do what i said.
Go do it again.
Thankyou Azeazezar I could do it following your directed guide. I installed Omnirom Nightlies.
But now problem is, It's not rooted anymore. So i tried to root from the recovery again with "Root_SuperSU.0.98-Busybox.1.20.2-signed.zip" package. But now the SuperSU app does not start. It says:
"There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!
If you just upgraded to android 4.3, you need to manually re-root - Consult the relevent forum for your device!"

Hi, I'm unable to flash the stock image because my CWM version is too high (staus 7 errors), however, I'm unable to downgrade CWM.
I've tried flashing it from ROM Manager/similar apps, Writing and booting to SD, flashing from inside CWM. I've even tried TWPR, but it just always boots back to the original CWM.
Any ideas?
What rom did you have before attempting to flash back the stock? This happened to me yesterday, and I had to play with it to get it to work. I had to restore a TWRP backup that was on Succulent's CM10.2 because it automatically installed TWRP 2.6.3.0. I then was able to flash an earlier rom and/or restore to a LATER rom. Confusing situation, but I figured it out.
What I would do is backup your current rom, factory reset, and then flash a rom that automatically installs an earlier version of recovery. The only one I know of is Succulent's CM10.2 (because to want to downgrade your recovery, not go to TWRP 2.7.1.0) and then flash the desired earlier recovery.
Tl;dr: Backup your current rom, factory reset, flash Succulent's CM10.2 then flash Old CWM, then flash stock rom

Current ROM is the last stable CM11 build.
You wouldn't happen to have a link for that would you? I've searched but no luck.
goo.im/devs/succulent then keep going through the directory until you get to the ovation rom builds

If you go to my HD/HD+ CWM thread linked in my signature and look at item 5, I have a flashable CWM (v6036) that is flashable with the newer recoveries. Just use your newer one to flash it and it goes back down to 6036. That way you can flash older zips if you want.
