xdabbeb will upload flashable zip file soon.
Great work, I was hoping to see this soon. Thanks!!

Since many people pm'ed me about the flashable zip file for VS980. So here it is:
VS980 ROM:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407583931
(MD5: 7fff11c1950cf441e513cdcab2e132f7)
VS980 KK Baseband:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407582725
(MD5: 4fdb8478734ba5e91ff8a2db644b88aa)
Remember to keep a copy of your working ROM so you can flash it if anything wrong happend. This ROM already included the system, kernel and modules needed for KitKat. (thanks for @xdabbeb's patched kernel)
This is untouched VS980 OTA KitKat ROM in flashable zip format (you can find @xdabbeb's manually method here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2699123).
Thanks @xdabbeb, @Savoca and @JackpotClavin for their hard work.

I'm on malladus 1.2.9, can I just flash this over, or do I need to revert to stock 12b first? Thanks
You sir are a gentlemen and a scholar. If this works you will be getting paid. Thanks

Glad I woke up early. Downloading now....
Thnx @Cloudyfa for putting up the ROM for us.
If i understand it correctly i can simply flash the rom and baseband zip file.
Iam currently running SlimKat 4.4.2 AOSP ROm on 12B everything (baseband/modem/bootloader etc) with CWM 6.0.4.4.
I never took 24A LG KK update.
Is my understanding correct ?
I knew this was coming, spent a ton of time getting back to stock (had to use tot method after fighting kdz method) just last night. Oh well upward and onwards, to infinity and beyond.
I am still on 11A is flashing this going to be an issue?
Thnx @Cloudyfa

Thanks for this uplaod! Been waiting for a flashable version. This requires the latest TWRP (ver 2.7) to flash, correct?

this. same question for me. I never upgraded to 12b...
That's a great question. Xdabbeb kernel has a 12b aboot check. None have determined that the check can be removed and still boot. I have no idea if it's a big deal. What I do know is that in 12b booted just fine with a 10a aboot. This tells me that 12b roms are satisfied by earlier aboots. Presumably because they are identical other than a version number.

May be off topic, but If i'm still on 11A, which rom would you recommend flashing first to get to 12b to then flash your rom?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2533018
Is there a diffrent method you recommend to get from 11a to 12b to your rom?

So...if we're on the rooted/debloated 12b, can we flash this over? I wouldn't mind trying to avoid the whole wipe/revert to stock thing if I can help it. Thanks!
In theory one only needs to dd the 12b aboot from jackpotclavin instructions. Can someone try that from a stock 12b rom like Malladus 1.2.9 rom then flash this after a full wipe minus internal storage. That seems cleaner than a dirty flash over 12b. I'd also suggest dd the 2.7.0.0 twrp after the aboot upgrade to ensure that it's aware of the new aboot.

We need a bootstack, not a ROM, you must use kdz/tot method.

I dont know if you mean you have 12B kdz/tot already or just using a 12B ROM on older bootstack. For easy understanding, what's your last kdz/tot ROM version. If its 12B then you're good to go.
@ ALL: for those unsure what you're doing (or currently have), you should flash 12B tot/kdz instead of messing around with different ROM combination.
I flashed according to the OP's instructions and it's been sitting at the white Verizon splash screen for a few minutes. The LED is fading from blue to green. Is this normal? I'd think, if anything, it'd hang up at the LG screen.

Currently, I'm using ROM Malladus 2.0.3 and I want to back to the stock 4.4.2 version 24A, can anybody show me the instructions to do that? Thanks so much.

Did you make a back up of your stock rom before you flashed Malladus? If so, just restore that.
If you want a base rooted stock rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2711668
If you want out of the box stock, follow z3pp3lin's post.
easiest way to get fresh out of the box kitkat
get 24a kdz here

then lg flash tool 2014 here

easy
Thanks for all replies!
Here's the 26A Stock, Rooted, Debloated ROM.
Full ROM was not possible as it would not flash. Was too big.
You need to be on a custom recovery to flash this.
Only tested being on 24A with Freedom Tools to get custom recovery.
Used 24A kernel to get this to boot thank to dr87.
Dev's feel free to use this to get a working kernel that activates Knock-ON. Just credit. Thanks

KNOCK ON-CODE FIX:
Use Dorimanx's kernel to enable knock code:
Flash from recovery: This works even though it says no know code on file. I tested....

4.4.4 kitkat and Advance Calling 1.0 features via VoLTE are responsible for the size this large
Yeah, I have knock on also when I flash Dorimanx 7.7 with "No Knock Code".
My baseband still says 25B though, but my software version is 26A.
Everything works otherwise. Thank you MicroMod--saving me from KDZ back to 24A to take OTA
Good to see you around still Micro. Ill play with this rom over the weekend.
I just upgraded to 26A, baseband, kernel, etc. through the "System Upgrade" in Settings, and made a debloat zip (flashed in twrp) for myself to remove the bloat. Knock-on works fine on 26A kernel. It's much quicker than flashing a whole Rom.

You might want to check the udpater script and remove some of the lines...I have it remove all the GApps because they can be downloaded from the Play Store, plus I don't like GApps residing in /system; it's just a personal preference.

I don't see why you couldn't if you got TWRP installed, I think CloudyG2 runs off the 26a Bootstack so you would need to flash that then flash rom and all should be good!

So I have noticed in the last two days or so that some official nightlies for CM12, anyone try this yet? Anyone have any good instructions to follow for someone using cm11?
both failed when trying to flash
hopefully @JackpotClavin can get us a working build
Are they jb or lollipop based?
Have to be on 12b bootstack. Boots fine. Just finished booting about 5 minutes ago, so haven't tested much

Do I need to flash a different gapps version first?
You need GAPPS for 5.0. Different than cm11.
ok, just want to make sure i have the process down, I flash this new nightly, and then the new gapps? Also how is the rom working so far
Seems okay to me. I haven't tried the GPS or Bluetooth. Haven't done anything but SMS and MMS so far.

Gapps 5.0? not 5.1? I was going to download gapps fromt this thread
CM12 is 5.0.2. The nightlies aren't cm12.1, which is 5.1.1
Another dumb question. I have CWM recovery installed, is that good or should I have TWRP? Thanks in advance.
another nightly jumped on, somebody tried this new update? How cyanogen is working now that is official?
Yeah i wish we had more comments on how it is working so far, this is my only phone and don't want to brick it or be out of commission for too long of a time
