Unlock LS995 on 4.4.2 LG G Flex - LG G Flex

Anyone know how to SIM unlock LS995 for 4.4.2. carrier/property folder method does not work on 4.4.2. It works only on 4.2.2. Its Sprint locked mobile and I want to use it on GSM network outside US as i bought it as used one and get it locked while updating. Before update it was working perfectly. It also work it i flash stock ROM by carrier/property folder method but I need to update it on 4.4.2 for knockon or double tap.

Did you TOT back to 4.4.2? Glad you figured it out. The carrier replacement mod does work for 4.4.2, I'm using it right now on cricket/at&t.
Here's another guide, the g2 unlock is the same on the flex. Software is close enough. PM me if you have any other questions

Also knockon is available on the playstore if you want to stay on 4.2

[Q] Alltel Moto X XT1050

Would like to root my XT1050, but cannot find the exact firmware to fall back on if something goes awry. My firmware is 139.4.6.ghost_row.ACG.en.US. The closest firmware that I have found is the Brightpoint 139.4.5.ghost_row.LRA.en.US, which is also the XT1050. My Alltel network is CDMA, but not sure if the Brightpoint is. Does anyone think this Brightpoint firmware would work if I needed to re-flash, or would it be missing the proper radios APN's etc....? Alltel was recently purchased by AT&T, and they told me that this phone was an AT&T phone that was LTE ready when they transition over in July. Most other Alltel users will need to replace their phones at this time. I keep looking for Alltel Moto X users here, but haven't seen any yet, as this phone is fairly new for Alltel. Any ideas?
ever find a root method
Was wondering if anyone with the alltel Moto X ever found a root method.

the brightpoint fxz is generic cdma. it worked fine on the vzw dev edition moto x with the 4.2.2 gpt/motoboot. not sure whether it will work on a locked alltel device, but there's a good chance that it will, since it is xt1050.
i'd try to root first; the worst that could happen is root will fail. if it succeeds, you can make a nandroid of your stock boot and system before making any further modifications.
if you do need to use the fxz to recover, you should flash only system.img. if that alone doesn't work, you may need to flash boot.img as well. there's really no need to flash anything else.
also, i'd recommend backing up your stock build.prop and replacing the brightpoint build.prop with it if you do flash system.img.
standard disclaimer: i'm not responsible for anything bad that may happen to your device as a result of attempting these things...
really need help

I was really hoping someone could upload a link for 139.4.6.ghost_row.ACG.en.US.xml.zip i have accidentally flashed the fsg and modem files for another version of xt1050 and i need alltel's version of these files. plz i can't seem to find a copy of this firmware anywhere and i no longer can get any cdma/evdo signal. all i can do is use a sim card for the time being and considering i am paying for the plan with alltel i'd like to take advantage of my data plan. when i dial *228 it only says call not sent.

I have the Moto X XT1050. U can unlock the bootloader using motorola's website. Then flash twrp using fastboot and use the recovery to root.
The recovery will install supersu. All I had to do was download supersu from the playstore. I also installed the cm12.1 nightly. Not bad. Its awesome. Just wish I could activate the thing. Someone told me I could just pop in an already active Verizon 4g SIM and it'll work. Havnt tried yet tho.
Xt1050 twrp
TWRP to link the xt1050

I'm in the same position as you man, I want to be 100% sure before doing anything, although mine has the lra firmware. You didn't got 4.4.2 OTA? Why don't you fall back to that one, it's easier to find and since we can unlock the bootloader the official way you don't have to worry..
Can't post the link, it in a filefactory folder
Lol I'm telling you twrp will root, do you need a link?

[Q] LG Flex lost root after update to KitKat T-Mobile, help?

My phone showed that there was an update available to KitKat and without thinking about it I updated. Now I noticed I do not have root access. SO I figured I would just root again, so I looked up a YouTube video to root LG Flex running KitKat. Did that but didn't work and I've now read that you can't root with KitKat. I can't find a thread that explains whether you actually can or can't root on T-Mobile LG Flex D959 with KitKat and if I already updated, how exactly do I go about rooting or back to before the update. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Not trying to be a dbag but always read through the android development section. I just read through the ioroot thread and it seems that the only way for you to attain root access on the D959 KK is D-FUSE's rooted rom. You will need to downgrade first though and follow all the outlined directions. Watch the video tutorial if need be. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=52553477

AT&T D950 & T-Mobile D959 firmware

Hello,
I have an unlocked and rooted D950 that I'm currently using on T-Mobile services. I was wondering if it is possible to flash a D959 firmware on to it, mainly to remove the AT&T bloatware, use the 1700 frequency and receive T-Mobile OTA updates.
Thanks in advance.

hope this is doable
Are you truly running an unlocked bootloader
---------- Post added at 04:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:29 PM ----------
That's what will make all the difference. But its my understanding that only the f340 variant was unlock. If not and you're like the rest of us using freedom flex to install recovery and / or you're using bump. Then as far as i know no you can't
Matt, thanks for the reply, seems our fate is sealed.
I have successfully flashed an ATT(950) stock rom to a SPRINT (955). I have some issues in the build.prop or maybe I got ahold of the wrong USA ATT rom (KK). The issue I have is I don't have any mobile data info in settings. Looking into that now. I does recognize the ATT sim.
Cool cool. I didnt think you would brick. Just figured a security error or at best no data or at least no lte 4g
Was anyone able to do this. I have the AT&T LG Flex and I'm on Tmo. I would like to flash a stock TMO rom and have the wifi calling and text. Can this be done? I get no data at work and this would be a game changer.
thanks
I am not a developer but I managed to make my sprint flex (ls995) work with the HK flex (D958) stock rom.
What I did is make a backup of ZV7 boot and modem.
Changed the build.prop to the D958
Flash the stock D958(20a) TOT to my sprint flex
ROOT (towelroot) + TWRP (freedomflex)
Restore boot and modem backup
Wipe cache and dalvik... Reboot
And everythings up and running normally.
I dont get to use LTE in my country so I didnt count on that for starters.
But its great to have Hotspot and a debloated rom on my sprint flex.

LS995 Help with Unlock

Hi Guys
I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to all this, but I've been using all the support/services/mods at XDA dev since when it was developed and the XDA's came out. Top site - great people.
I was wondering if you guys can help me, Ihave with me now an LS995 on Sprint (kk 4.4.2) which I purchased from the states. I'm in the UK, and I need it unlocking. I can manage to get the handset rooted (not via the ioroot option as that doesn't work for this handset). Once rooted I have tried the LS980 unlock final method - doesn't seem to work. So I'm stuck really, can anyone help please?
first you have to download an updated version ioroot you can also use the towelroot I worked my only had to use it connected to the internet and install SuperSU . I worked for me this process for unlock http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2655133 .

AT&T XR1058 4.2.2. update available to 4.4. (advice)

Hello everyone. :cyclops:
Recently I got new AT&T XT1058 Moto x with Android 4.2.2. and I downloaded 41MB big critical update and installed it, so the system version now is 139.12.54.ghost_att.ATT.en.US
Android version is still 4.2.2. but now I keep getting pop-up notifications for update to Android 4.4. critical update, system version 140.44.5.en.US size of 326.5.
I read many comments of users which updated to 4.4 and in many cases battery lasts shorter than on 4.2.2.
So I was thinking maybe to stay on 4.2.2. if this update (4.4.) isn't very important to my phone besides its new features of a newer OS version.
What do you recommend? If I stay on this version, how to remove this pop-up asking to install 4.4 it is annoying.
And also, is there a way to root this AT&T XT1058 version, which is right now on Android 4.2.2. system version 139.12.54.ghost_att.ATT.en.US?
Thanks!
You can root it and also unlock the bootloader in this step for free so you can use any rom you want..
