I just acquired as P1000 model. I am having 2 problems. 1 I think I fixed, but the other is beyond me.
Problem 1 - When I plug the charger in and I use the USB cord from my 2.1A wall outlet I get a batter logo with a spinning circle and then it flashes dark and starts over again. I think I've tracked this down to the tablet not liking my charger as it charges fine off my laptop.
Problem 2 - After letting it charge for a while, I went to power it up and it gives me the Galaxy Tab logo, but then it goes to a boot animation that is some triangles flipping over each other. It sits on this for a while, then it goes to a black screen and starts the same triangle boot animation all over again.
I've tried searching repeatedly to no avail and I can't seem to find out what I need to do in order to fix this. I welcome any advice, I don't know if it's modded or stock, or what kernel is even on it. When I push the volume down and power buttons I get a note about downloading with a picture of an Android with what looks like a shovel pointed backward.
1stly try factory reset through recovery (by pressing & holding volume up then press power button) to see if it solved your problem.
2ndly if the first method didn't you need to flash the phone with odin using stockrom in download mode (by pressing & holding volume down then press power button).
you can get your stockrom at sammobile or google it.
and also Next time when reporting an issue consider putting Screen shot for better understanding.

Hi
I have just tried to update to 2.2, i updated Kies first, connected my phone, it came back saying update available, fully charged battery, all seemed to go ok, phone rebooted, but when coming back up I get the logo, and the start up music, then it vibrates a bit the keys on bottom left and right are lit up, screen black and doesn't seem to do anything.
I have removed battery, have tried 3 button restore (no effect) it just keeps vibrating every min or so.
holding the power button restarts it, thats about all i can get it to do.
Have I ruined the phone?? please help.

First question... Did you have a lagfix on the phone before you tried to update it?
Second question... If you answered yes to question one... Did you remove / disable the lagfix before you flashed through Kies?
i had lag fix and was rooted, i plugged it in to laptop and it was recognised and said update 2.2 available, so i thought that was ok.
Now it is as i describe as above, i get battery logo if i plug into laptop, bottom left and right keys are lit but don't do anything, screen is black and vibrates every couple of minutes, if i hold power button get the GT galaxy s screen then the music, then the S galaxys screen which goes black with the two keys lit, if i press power button again it goes off and to the battery logo again.
Cannot get odin or kies to recognise phone plugged in, or get it into recovery or download mode

you didn't answer the question but I will assume that you were using a lagfix but did not disable it before you tried to update you phone.
try removing the battery for a few minutes and try going to download mode (hold vol down + home + power)
Go into recovery mode (vol up + home + power 'till screen switches on) and select the delete data/cache (?) option with the volume keys, using the middle button to confirm. Your phone will work, but unfortunately, you'll loose all your app/settings =/
Should have un-lagfixed before updating :-s
let us know if Rawat's way worked for you.
I had disabled my lagfix too when updating to doc jk3 using cwm and same thing happened to me.
Only way i fixed it was to flash my phone's stock rom, jh2 2.1 using odin3 v1.3 and the firmware from samfirmware. (pda only, no pit, no repartition)
then i upgraded to froyo again and it worked.
Hi all, I think my problem may be a bit different, Here is how I got myself in this problem.
This morning I connected phone with kies and found out that there is a 2.3.3 gingerbread upgrade available (my phone has been rooted). I decided to upgrade, but when phone showed downloading screen, at that time my damn pc crashed. Now I unplug the cable, rebooted the pc and when on to do the same again, Kies found out that there was problem in past upgrade so it asked to do an emergency upgrade stuff, but now there was a different problem on the phone. All my phone screen displays is 3 images
Phone image, a yellow triangle with exclamation (warning?), and pc image, which to me means its not connecting to pc. On pc, phone is never recognized any more.
I tried to get to dnload on phone using Volume(up or low) + Power + Home for so many times but no success, if I keep holding 3 buttons it just keeps flashing those 3 icons on the screen and that't.
Any help will be appreciated.
pull your battery out. Put it back in.
Hold Volume down+Home button, while holding those 2 also hold the power button. Phone starts. Let us know what happens.
Nothing as I mentioned before I have tried so many variations including the one you mentioned still the same, that it keeps on flashing the 3 icons (phone+warning+pc)
Use the "magical key" : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819551
I came across that earlier today, however was hoping to find an easy solution.. Seems like JTAGing it is for this one now.,.,.
Thanks
Hold the power button for a good 10 seconds.
Then try forcing download mode. You may have to hold the 3 button combo for a bit, but don't give up. I've had it take up to a minute before.
Vol down+Home+Power
Hello,
I've just installed this ROM after wiping Cache/Delvik Cache and system wipe.
Now the phone is stuck on the boot screen and I can not get back into recovery to sort it out.
I held down power & vol+ buttons to get into recovery but nothing happens. The Home & Back buttons flash after 3 seconds then nothing happens.
Any thing else I should do to get into recovery ( TWRP)
My friend whop is a member asked this question on the Developers forum and so far no luck.
we have tried the following:
This is suggested by chogardjr: Plug your phone in to charge. Don't use a USB port for power. After you plug it in try the hard reboot again.
PLEASE HELP
Just for the sake of testing... Have him hold power without holding the volume. It should force reboot, not to the bootloader, so he can get a feel for how the reboot works. It can be finicky during a bootloop cause there are processes trying to run in the background. But it should do it if you hold power long enough.
Edit:
Also find out if the charge light comes on when he plus it in.
Tried and no joy.......

I had a similar problem with a bad kernel flash and could not get the device to shut all the way off - thats why the keys are blinking. I plugged it in to a charger, left it like that for a few seconds, then unplugged, held it under a bright light and waited. After a few more seconds, it shut all the way down and I was able to boot to recovery in the usual way (power+down). You may have to try combinations or maybe not. But, you won't get to recovery until the phone shuts all the way down. High light under in the 'eyes', plugging and unplugging, and holding the power button for up to 30 seconds are all known ways to do this, but as was said before a bootloop has processes trying to run, so the machine can be 'confused' and have difficulty shutting down. Hope you are successful...
Thanks. I actually got it going with one of the answers posted for me, by powering it off under a bright light.
Sounds daft, but it works.
My Galaxy Exhibit II 4G is about a year old, rooted and i have CM11 installed. Everything was fine, I had it plugged in (charging) and i was downloading an app (Camscanner) from the Mobogenie store when suddenly the phone shut off and the battery icon appeared with the loading circle in the middle.
This did not stay on for long as the screen would go off and this would again appear. After pulling the battery and removing the charger, then reinserting the battery, the phone would just flash the SAMSUNG logo in this very same manner.
I am unable to get into either recovery or download modes and when i try this combination (VOL UP + VOL DWN) i get:
RAMDUMP MODE
Cause: Force Upload
I have been reading forums for hours and i have found nothing. Is my device bricked? What can I do to recover it? Please, any help would be greatly appreciated :crying:
What happens if you try vol. up + power, or vol. down + power?

Thanks for replying. Nothing happens. It just continues to reboot like I'm not doing anything. The only way I'll get a reaction out of it is with vol up + vol down
It can be tricky. This post may be clear http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32437850&postcount=6
The link you sent me to sounds similar to my problem, except I wasn't trying to update the firmware. The crash was spontaneous.
However, neither of those methods work. As soon as I put in the battery the SAMSUNG logo appears, then disappears and reappears and it continues like that... Pressing the power button does nothing, whether by itself or with the volume up/down button
I am beginning to panic
What happens when it's connected to power?

Anyway, after many hours of investigation I discovered it was a hardware problem. The power button was stuck and so it forced it to reboot repeatedly. It also explains why it (the power button) was unresponsive. Disassembling the phone and freeing up the power button solved the problem.
P.s. Your build of CM11 is boss
I have same problem with power button. Had to tweak it hard cause it was so sensitive.
It's the first time it's happened to me. Probably because I dropped it so many times
Strange, ...

OK so I'm no expert or anything but maybe my experience with this Model might be able to help you a little bit. I have the same model and it was doing the exact same thing however I haven't rooted it. And I've since corrected the issue on mind particularly it appeared that it was the charge port and/or USB that either had a bad connection or possibly it was boot looped. However with me not rooting the I didn't understand how it could be booted Looped so I started playing around with holding the power button playin with USB things of this nature and what I found was that if I hold the USB to one side either left or right, this allowed me to help a boot farther into it sequence at first to just show the Samsung logo over and over then I could get it to get to the boot sequence about halfway through the boot animation until I finally got to the exhibit screen where displays its model and 4G status. I accomplish this by holding the USB to one side and pushing and holding the power button intermittently throughout the boot. Once I hit the unlock screen unlock the device and I immediately factory data reset it. I'm under the impression that mine was possibly I think that mine was somehow a corrupted bootloader or software still I don't know what caused it to backed up to this day occasionally it'll shut itself down and reboot on me that's why I'm here today I've got all the parts and pieces I need to flash a new rom and hopefully new software the new work over I'll be good to go I also cleaned the USB port made sure that it was still snug to the board all of the good stuff. I don't know if it'll help you but I had the same situation I thought you'd like to know that it was probably not what you were doing with the phone it may just be the software itself with this particular phone see I done nothing that you didn't had the exact same problems. I hope it was somewhat helpful if you haven't gotten it unlocked or re-booted yet. Then maybe just play around with the power sources and power buttons. And see if you can get the same results I did
Here's a quick reference for how to reboot and reset your 2019 Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (SM-T510/T515) using the hardware buttons:
Force restart:
- If your device is frozen and unresponsive, press and hold the Volume Down + Power keys simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it.
Boot to Recovery Mode:
- Power off the device
- Press and hold the Volume Up + Power keys at the same time.
- Release both keys when you see Recovery Mode.
Boot to Download Mode:
- Disconnect the USB cable
- Power off the device
- Press and hold the Volume Down + Volume Up keys
- Insert the USB cable
Boot to Safe Mode:
- Power off the device
- Press and hold the Power key.
- When the boot logo appears, release the Power key and then press and hold the Volume Down key.
- Continue to hold the Volume Down key until the device finishes restarting.
- Safe Mode will display in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Since there is no Bixby button, these combinations are different than the Galaxy S10. If you know of additional combinations, please contribute to the discussion below and I'll consolidate here.
If there’s no response on your device or you're stuck in a boot loop, then you might need to wait for the battery to drain. The 2019 Galaxy Tab A 10.1 has a non-removable battery pack, so disconnecting that isn't an option. Hopefully, the system reverts to its normal function with a cold boot. This can take time if the battery has high charge left at time of failure. Depending on how fast your battery drains, this can mean waiting for a few hours to several days.
UPDATE: With the right timing, you can break out of a boot loop into Download Mode...but it's tricky:
Insert USB Type C cable connected to your PC
Press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys for exactly 7 seconds (hard reset)
Release the Power key and press and hold both Volume Up & Down keys (enter Download Mode)
If you don't see the blue bootloader unlock warning screen, keep repeating the above two steps
The trick here is that you're trying to time your switch to the Download Mode keys for the exact moment the hard reset takes effect. If you see the boot logo while still holding the first key combination, it's too late. If you switch too early, you won't trigger the hard reset.
I've had to hold down both volume up and volume down while plugging in usb to get the unlock screen to populate. Canadian Wifi variant.

Thanks, that was an error in my initial post. I was figuring these out by trial and error, but it turns out that our hard resets are basically the same as for the Galaxy M30, which also uses the Exynos 7904 SoC and has no Bixby key.
https://www.hardreset.info/devices/samsung/samsung-galaxy-m30/download-mode/
UPDATE: Also the same as for the Galaxy A30 and some others.

Yes, I did the same way
US version
1. Enable OEM Unlock
2. Turn the tablet off and unplug the cable
3. Press and hold both volume up and volume down buttons and plug USB cable to host computer
4. You will get wipe screen. Long press volume up to unlock the bootloader.
Now I have to find matching ROM and patch the boot.img and flash.
I believe you have to disable Vault Keeper to keep root intact.
Brand new out the box 11am this morning.
Opened the parcel cool no damage. Powered up fine, had a mess with it, no problems check the speakers were fine and no issues plugged it on charge to 100% took it off and left it for an hour or so, went back to it and physically used it to use Facebook and play candy crush cool no problems. Took a few photos and no problems again. Put it on the side still on near 90% and went back to it 30 minutes later completely off and won’t turn back on, tried charging it nothing no sign of life, tried rebooting it and still nothing. Please tell me that this is not the end and I need to get a replacement... ?*

I’ve not even been able to get it back on, I’ve attemp a reboot countless of times and still nothing rectifys it. I spoke with Samsung they feel it’s a major fault with the tablet and have told me to request a replacement from my provider or even a refund.
