was trying to root my one for the first time. I followed someone's tutorial online, and everything was perfect at first, until I got into using TWRP for recovery. I used version 2.5. After I got into it, the touch screen is not working. I stuck in the lock screen now, not able to unlock, not able to restart, not even able to power off. After some digging, I found out that probably I should have used the version 2.6 instead in the first place. Now my question is, do I need to wait until the power drains out before I could do anything else, or if there is anything I could do to restart the phone and do this recovery process again with TWRP v2.6? Thanks.

have exactly the same problem.
But I can't hard reset the HTC ONE via volume down + power button...
Can't access the phone via USB attached cable and the common tools... :///
Do I have to wait till the battery is empty or is there a further solution?

Why not giving us your phone info here instead of playing this "look at this youtube video" game? If you want help, please answer the questions asked above, better to post a complete "fastboot getvar all" output (excluding your IMEI/MEID/Serialno) so we know everything about your phone an can help you better.
If you have a sprint HTC one, then flash a sprint twrp recovery. You can find the file on the twrp website.
fastboot flash recovery name_of_file.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader

Sorry, but I'm going to let @alray help with this one. Looks like you have 5.05.651.2 rom installed. Is this a sprint device or some other m7_wls device? I have no experience with these, and see many posts with folks flashing wrong recovery or rom and bricking devices.

I don't think you can install any ruu, yet. I also noticed from your video that your device is s-off (security off) no problem, but also supercid (11111111), this is a problem. I don't think a ruu will flash until the cid is reverted to what ever it was initially from the installed ruu carrier. Sprint cid is SPCS_001 for example. I think you will have to rewrite this from adb, but getting out of my knowledge zone here, sorry.

You can flash a RUU with supercid, no problem. But since his phone is a sprint variant, having supercid is somewhat useless since he can only flash RUU for sprint (SPCS_001). Having supercid on a sprint M7 won't hurt but its pretty useless imo... (unlike having supercid on a M7_U/M7_UL which will allow you to flash any RUU you want)

Sprint M7 is a CDMA phone and will only work on the Sprint network (it can connect to other gsm networks for roaming but you won't get full connectivity), its not the result of the RUU. And btw a RUU can't sim lock a phone, its not possible. The ruu doesn't write anything to the partition where the sim lock info are stored.
can't help any further if you don't post the output of "fastboot getvar all" like asked previously. I don't have time right now to watch some youtube video to figure out what device you have etc.

Before that, it worked. The phone was like out of the store without being tied to an operator. Due to the fact that I could not be updated to Android 5.0, I downloaded the firmware from the official site and set it. With the new firmware the connection was lost. Now I can not use 3G. From the beginning, radio was 1.00 and android 4.4.2. The other parameters are listed in the video at minute 2:05
I tried to install a new version via exe files and zip through. Even I tried to put ViperOne, but once it is installed, an error, TWRP and firmware is deleted. I again through fastboot TWRP load and backup. Otherwise, when you turn on it immediately goes into fastboot, and so on. Something is missing this phone for the proper installation of new versions of android.

There is an RUU for your One. The only issue is that ur S-ON and the RUU is for a lower firmware version than the one you have. To flash the RUU, you will have to downgrade your firmware, which needs S-OFF
Post the output of your getvar all. It'll help a lot
And do u have custom recovery?? What exactly did you do which bricked the phone ??

Hello, Thanks for helping out. I have a taiwan build of the phone, for some reason I got the message prompt to upgrade to kitkat and sense 5.5 ( the release isnt officially out in my region) I'm thinking I got it because of the firmware build of my phone, once i tried to upgrade thats where the stall happened.
To get S-Off i need to root my phone from my understanding is this correct ? I dont have a custom recovery will post the get var here.
Thanks again.
Since you bricked your phone, I'm going to safely assume you were at least on an unlocked bootloader. If that's the case, you can download the TWRP recovery image onto your PC and boot into it off your phone with the fastboot command "fastboot boot (recovery name).img". Once there, you can go to TWRP's advanced settings and turn on ADB sideload to install a ROM. After that's done, go back into fastboot and flash the boot.img from the ROM separately before booting the ROM for the first time (since you're S-ON). That should get your phone back on.
My friend did the same thing the other day and that was how I got theirs working again.

That's not needed on the M7, it'll get flashed automatically during the install even with S-On.

You should be fully stock, including recovery, before taking an OTA, except that you can (and should) stay s-off and unlocked. You may not even get the OTA otherwise.
So I think I have found the stock recovery needed for my device. Now there is a small problem, I have 2 stock recovery files for my device and I do not know wich one to choose because when I typed "fastboot getvar all" I didn't find any information at "version main", just blank space. How should I know wich one to pick?

did you change radio?
hboot 1.55 + MID + CID would indicate you are on 3.xx.502.x version
so i guess: http://d-h.st/D8F or http://d-h.st/6bH would be a suitable recovery, but you need to have your phone's ROM 100% stock

1- If you are 100% stock then Settings -> About should also show your correct version number
2- you rooted the phone, so that may or may not have changed some system files, so OTA may not work
3- once S-Off stay S-Off, my personal opinion
In my humble opinion, three choices really, when it comes to "modding" or not your phone:
A) stay stock and don't mess with it to get OTAs
B) you cannot achieve S-OFF (due to newer hboots, or device problems) -> fine live with an unlocked bootloader, and accept the fact that you cannot install OTAs .... you can however "download and install later" the OTA, then pull it to your phone, and use the signed firmware.zip in it
C) you can achieve S-OFF and want to mod your phone -> then do it, get S-Off and enjoy the freedom (but don't flash things not meant for your phone!! this goes for S-On too)
Of course you're going to say that "but S-Off is dangerous", it's a double edged sword... sometimes you are able save your phone thanks to S-Off, and sometimes you can brick it completely.
But then again, you can easily brick an S-On phone too (especially one that is modded), and much more difficult to save than an S-Off phone.
^^ All that is my personal opinion, and I'm not suggesting you S-Off, but if you want to mod your phone (whether S-On or S-Off), you need to be aware of what may, or may not, go wrong, and have done some reading and research
Good Luck
Well, its not worth it. I wont risk bricking my phone again

That's a tough one... cause even if you manage to pull out the cable, at exactly the right (ie wrong) moment while flashing recovery, it wouldn't affect bootloader... and with a good bootloader (hboot, and some other variables) you should be able to revive your phone.... now mess with hboot, and that's a whole different story!!
As I said, this is my personal opinion, so maybe get some second opinions on the subject... I can only answer on what i've done, seen, experienced, fixed, not fixed, etc.
Maybe someone wiser will add his/her opinion to this

So, yesterday the OTA was finally released, and today I have flashed stock recovery... Now waiting for the OTA notification to come
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Free mobile app
hello guys,
i did a deep search, but nothing found about it, or found but did not understood, so i will ask you. if in my stock recovery it also says (TAMPER), will be possibly to instal OTA?
L.E. - rest is like the title of the topic - Unlocked, S-ON, tampered..
Hello everyone. It is my first time on this forum, so please be patient.
On Saturday I received my new HTC One 802d dual sim. Following in the steps of this and other forums I could root it and unlock the bootloader.
Then I wanted to get S-Off for putting on a new ROM but while the Moonshine was running, in one of the many resets, the phone can't start the OS (obviously cmd window showed an error).
From there on I tried a myriad of things but with no success. I could not find the original RUU to flash it either.
I am truly desperate!!!! can anyone help ???
I leave data from my HTC One:

You might want to remove your meid from your first post.
Assuming you have a custom recovery installed, you might try to install Maximus HD for dual sim. I found these instructions in his other thread for the single sim rom. Why don't you think you have a rom installed? Are you stuck in bootloader? You can follow these instructions by alray but you must use a custom recovery for your variant and the Maximus HD rom for your variant.
If you get the rom installed and working, I would try rumrunner S-OFF, since you have a lower hboot. Since you have such a unique phone, I would make nandroid backups to I could recover from issues easier. I hope it helps.

Thank you very much!!!! I'll try to flash Maximus HD, but I have a few questions:
The phone has to be unlocked?
What would be the details to consider the rom to choose?
Thanks!!!!

This is a long shot but first I would try to flash the stock firmware 4.22.707.3. You will need to lock your bootloader first. This firmware will wipe your personnal data from the phone.
First, download the firmware file and rename it firmware.zip and place in your adb/fastboot folder.
Second, relock you phone using this command:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
Third, use the following procedure to flash the stock firmware to your phone:
Code:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
After that, type:
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU [/I][/B]
NOTE: You should see a silver HTC logo come up on your phone after executing this command.
NOTE: if this command freezes, just disconnect the USB cable and hold the power and volume down buttons until the device reboots. Then, repeat the steps above again.
Finally:
Code:
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip[/I][/B]
Repeat the same command: IMPORTANT
Code:
[B][I]fastboot flash zip firmware.zip[/I][/B]
NOTE: The green bar on the phone may not go to 100% of the bar ... but If you see completed on your computer command window, wait for a few seconds and move on.
Last Step:
Code:
fastboot reboot

Thanks is enough for helping you out.
Wifi might be a software issue, with the new firmware you got the latest radio for your phone. If you still have the stock rom installed you could try the OTA update? If the rom is stock and the recovery is stock you could rename (to shorten it) and move the OTA to your sdcard. When it is on your sdcard, follow these steps for installing the OTA manually. It may or may not run, but if it fails it will tell you why it failed and maybe we can fix it.

No, there is no stock rom for your phone! So, you can not go back to stock to get the OTA. Make a nandroid backup while in recovery and save it to your computer should something go amiss in the future. Glad to see you are back up and running.
Go to your first post and edit the title with "[Solved]".

Are you getting data?
Does SMS/MMS work?
No issues with calls?
Have you tried rebooting the phone?

Yes, I have restarted the phone twice but no Wifi on when I touch the button. Nor have 3G / H + data.

Should I reinstall ROM?

Yes, re-install the ROM and while in recovery wipe cache/dalvik. And check your APN settings against the APN settings for your carrier.

Hi friend, i'm here again.
I had to reflash my phone with help from llabtoofer.com
We were able to fix the Wifi but the phone does not work on 3G network... only on EDGE.
Could be a problem with the Firmware or with the Radio?
I just called the telephone's company and they said that APN configuration was ok. If you want, I can send you a copy.
I'm in Argentina, Latin America.... perhaps the ROM installed is from Europe or perhaps is not compatible with my M7C_DWG.
Can you help me one more time?
Thanks.... I will waiting.

An earlier post stated that you had MaximusHD 3.0 installed. According to the website it doesn't support your phone! However, your software information has just the stock rom not MaximusHD 3.0. I don't thing there is an RUU for your phone so if you can find someone with a nandroid backup that you could use it would help. If you could get the stock firmware and flash it. Sorry, I'm not much help.

Ok, thank you very much.
I will keep looking for a solution.... When I have it, I'll let you know.
Thaks.
General Details:
HTC One M7 Verizon, rooted, S-Off, TWRP 2.8.6.0
I had been running stock rom but rooted and got S-Off. Recently updated to TWRP 2.8.6.0. Still worked at this point.
Downloaded Android Revolution HD 91.1 and attempted install. Everything said it was successful, rebooted into a boot loop.
When it starts it vibrates (one short buzz) , then comes up to the initial HTC logo with the text at the bottom about it being a dev build, 31 seconds later, screen goes black, 4 seconds later this process starts over. I am able to use volume down + power buttons to get to the bootloader, then go into fastboot mode, load twrp recovery, etc.
Here's what I've tried so far:
Variations on wiping partitions, dalvik cache, everything, formating everything, etc.
Tried reinstalling the AR HD 91.1 zip, installed AR HD 84.0, installed AR HD 6.1 Google Edition, Installed Stock ROM from AR.
All to no avail. I'm downloading and installing android sdk now. Starting to think the issue is a firmware difference between what's on the phone and what ROM needs.
Here's what bootloader shows me:

It's a specific ROM for the verizon variant so I'd say yes to the first question.
Now, I'm not 100% sure on this but I wasn't sure how to check the firmware version. I searched (googled) for how to tell and found a line saying the "version-main" line from a "fastboot getvar all" tells you the firmware version. When I issue a "fastboot getvar all" the version-main line is blank. Might that indicate I have no firmware on my phone?

version-main is sometime blank because of twrp, that doesn't mean you don't have a firmware.

Okay so I just read a bunch about flashing firmwares. So I changed my CID to 11111111 and grabbed a custom 7.19.401.22 firmware from another thread here on xda, ran a fastboot oem rebootRUU (got the black screen with silver htc logo) then tried the fastboot flash zip firmware.zip and it gives me this every time:

If a specific firmware is required, it should be mentioned in the rom thread. My guess is that if your phone is Verizon and the rom is for Verizon then update to the latest verizon firmware. Meanwhile you could try to wipe everything from twrp + formate data. Reboot the recovery and push the rom to your phone and try to flash it again. Also worth trying another rom.

True. Plus hopefully if anyone else makes the same mistake as me they'll find this thread and save themselves a lot of time/heartache figuring out what's up.
Thanks again for all help. This place is great.
So ive been helping out as much as i can in the Q&A threads, but alot of the resources that are usually needed are scattered around in links,so ive decided to post the latest RUUs per carrier i could find.
For some unapparent reason, the ROM downloads page on the htc website is still outdated with LP RUU links, whereas most of the usual carriers have MM available.
Sprint MM:
http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-desire-626s-sprint/news/
Boost Mobile MM:
http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-desire-626s-boost/news/
MetroPCS MM:
http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-desire-626s-metro-pcs/news/
T-Mobile US MM:
http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-desire-626s-t-mobile/news/
Virgin Mobile MM:
http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-desire-626s-virgin-mobile/news/
At the bottom of each respective page, theres a download link for the full RUU thats specific to your device.
If anyone has any other RUUs/Carriers theyd like added please let me know.
Keep in mind,in order to run these RUUs,your Bootloader MUST be locked/Relocked via fastboot.
After the RUU,you can reunlock your bootloader using the htcdev process again.if you saved your unlocktoken great,if not just request another.
The command to relock your bootloader is "fastboot oem lock" without quotes.
awesome thank you so much, very clear, re-locked BL and RUU

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, Verizon is not listed in HTC link, my phone is softbricked, since its s-off I can easily recover with a RUU. I am not sure if it is possible to recover with syncmanager since the phone is in softbricked state.

This phone is unlocked to the network.
I think that I have to wait, otherwise I will not be able to recover the operating system ...

If theres no RUU available for your carrier, youre better off not messing with anything.if the changes you make end you in a bootloop or something, they may not be fixable dependent upon when an RUU is available.

That's the problem! I broke the phone when I flash a "supposed" TWRP.img for the HTC Desire 626. Now I just have access to bootloader and the original recovery.

You do have the original recovery? Try flashing it under fastboot.what format is it in?and does the TWRP you flashed work?

It was hard to find the original recovery... and yes, I flash thru fastboot mode.
When i flash the TWRP.img, after reboot to recovery i get a black screen. I think this is the 32-bit version.
My options are: Flash a custom recover and then a custom ROM. Or execute a RUU.exe that match my phone.
What do you think GotHeart?

Dont flash the TWRP in fastboot, flash the original recovery. "fastboot flash recovery YOURFILENAME.img" where yourfilename is the name of the original recovery.if the file is just named recovery, add the .img at the end.

I already flash the original recovery.img GotHeart, but the phone doesn't go past htc logo. I think the term for this is "soft-brick"

Don't worry! I have fault here, because i didn't explain myself.
Well... I bought this phone on ebay, is a unlocked version. The information that i have is:
Box:
HTC Desire 626 (OPKX200-BL)
Octa-Core 1.7 Cortex-A53, 1GB Ram, 16 HDD
Phone:
(bootloader) product: a32_ul
modelid: 0PKX20000
But... when the phone was ok I installed cpuz.apk and saw the qualcomm chip, and it was a quad-core. To be more i upgrade to marshmallow version using OTA update provided by the phone.
In gsmarena dot com i try to distinguish my phone but i cant.
I bought the unlocked 626 direct from HTC unfortunately I never unlocked the bootloader and recently it got stuck in a boot loop after an OTA update. I believe the firmware is the same as the ATT version however since its using a different cid (BS_US001) I am unable to load the firmware. Any chance anyone has the RRU for this?
Nice
