[Rom] MIUI V5 3.4.26 (JB 4.1.2)

I borrowed A99 phone from my friend for 2 weeks to port MIUI V5 if there are any problem may i can't help to fix it
This rom is based on miui HTC Touch HD2 and CM 10 by Dr.Rush used CK kernel 0.3b It should be work or don't work like cm10
MIUI5_3.4.26_A99-FB0

Install with full wipe from 2.6.35.7 kernel

New MIUI Theme Policy - Effective on May 1st, 2013
Hi Everyone,
Please note, we have amended designer.xiaomi.com accordingly. Binding phone number is now optional. We also amended some of the registration fill in as well to accommdate longer names, address, etc.
Identification in the registration form remains due to security and copyright reasons. Specifically, the current verification process for MIUI designers in China have always required a valid ID to ensure others do not explicity open accounts to copy themes, modify and make their own. If we do allow international users to skip this process, this could possibly detriment the system.
We will continue to work on simplyfing the registration process and will keep everyone posted once we do.
Thank you again for everyone's feedback, time and considerations and let us know if there are continued registration issues!

This is the coolest ROM for our device as of today.
Some points I have observed during 30 mins of usage.
1. CPU is over clocked to 1.2Ghz (someone pls tell me is there an builtin CPU controller like CM ROMs, im not using third party apps like setcpu etc.. , I searched for system option but couldn't find it)
2. New Music player V5 of MIUI. Which is another coolest thing
3. Experiencing graphics glitches on status bar during switching apps.
4. Obviously Ram is fully occupied without any big apps(just Facebook and what's app). I can compromise because of MIUI.
5. Not tested anything else. I fell for the beauty
Final verdict : was expecting this from our developers from Many days. The ROM is a must try for fih fb0

Today miui update rom to 3.5.3 this is the easy way to update by yourself
- download miui rom select HTC Touch HD2 from
http://miuiandroid.com/community/threads/3-5-3.20284/
- used my 3.4.26 is base unpack and delete all files in folder
/system/app/
/system/framework/
- replace files from miui 3.5.3
- edit miui version in /system/build.prop
- fix softkey vibrate
decompile framework-res.apk
edit VibePattern value in file /framework-res/res/values/arrays.xml
- fix headset
decompile services.jar
edit file WiredAccessoryObserver.smali
replace line
const-string v2, "h2w"
with
const-string v2, "headset_sensor"
If you have success pleas share it to other friend in this forum

I've never really been a big fan of miui, but this, this is awesome. A completely new experience. This ROM is a beauty, its sleek n suprisenly fast as opposed to what I've been hearing about ram issue n stuff. Its also very mild on my battery. I've been on 3g all day with no heat as it use to on cm7. I'm actually very impressed with this.
Only is I can't get the miui weather to work its keeps saying not installed n when I click hoping to take me to where to download but nothing happens, also there's this 6.3mb of file it keeps asking to download all the time, don't know what its for, it keeps popping up.
But all in all ,hats off to rcset. This is an amazing experience.

Description from original thread
Install it from Recovery.
Best swap solution. No root, no init.d, no remounts, exFAT support, easy to restore, full emulated storage support (4.2.2).
System will work as usual, sdcard0 will still be internal storage, sdcard1 will still be real SD-card. But all (most) apps (and games) will use sdcard1 as global storage path (getExternalStorageDirectory).
It is for any ODEXED and DEODEXED ROM based on 10.3.1.A.0.244 (4.2.2). (If you want for other firmwares or Cyanogen Mod please let me know ... I will make it )
Patch will replace only one file - framework.jar and will not swap sdcard0 and sdcard1 (in reality). sdcard0 will still be internal storage, sdcard1 will still be real SD-card. If anything will go wrong just restore original framework.jar.
Some users have reported about boot loop. Use it at your own risk (be ready to use backup or ExternalStorageRestore).

Just curious to know, if I'm coming from stock, I just use the odex files? Also, what happens when I already have existing apps installed, do I need to somehow transfer those files to my sdcard? Or is that done automatically or that the resource files are downloaded again?

you gotta move the files manually bro. move the files from sdcard/android/obb to sdcard1/android/obb

Yes If you don't know what odex or deodex means then use odex
as @celeritykid mentioned you need to do it yourself ... look for any kind of other folders and files that doesn't belong to you ... and move them to sdcard, then you can actually enjoy your SDcard

Yes I did this:
1. Open the framework.jar using apktool by folowing command -> apktool d framework.jar
NOTICE: (If your framework is odexed then you need to deodex it first by either a program or other methods!
2. Go to this folder => framework.jar.out/smali/android/os there will be 2 file : Environment.smali and Environment$UserEnvironment.smali
Edit Environment$UserEnvironment.smali by this:

Sorry for the late reply, this did not seem to work got bootloops, I am on fxp237 now. Might try your guide for 237.

So please can you try download any free large app like iron man 3 if it works then problem lies with my phone because before putting your framework I could download any large app and even chrome is causing force close when I try to download anything

Sorry dude, no can do! For two main reason.
First: Google has banned my ip address due to restricted country internet policy etc. , which I can't download anything from google play
Second: I have limmited bandwidth internet connectivity, if you like you can try flash original framework, download your app, then nicely flash swap again to see if it works or not,
Still a logcat would be much appreciate!

I was near to give frustrated up, because it was everything the same thing - i try to unlock mf or shutter speed and Apk Crash.

When editing existing codes I like to keep solid tracks of what I am editing from what to what and how much, so that I can revert every edit easily without starting over from scratch.

Trying Ultimate Unlocked Camera with Manual Controls by chinmoy32 in my sony xperia xz
It works fine, and manual camera works fine with my xz and all features are unlocked.
Hope chinmoy32 and [email protected] are working together.
[email protected] works hard and have a grat mod and noise reduction in his mode especially in xz
Chinmoy32 has a great application that works with all imx300 all z5 series and x series i think

YES, you need to replace the existing APK and copy this one into the exact place in SYSTEM partition
for that alone you need ROOT. after copying the APK there you need to set permission to 644 - which requires ROOT too

Pete is already using some of my techniques to unlock features in his project. Whether hes gonna use more stuff from here is up to him.
More on that matter :
If anyone wants to use any portion of what I have posted here he/ she just needs to ask permission via PM and provide credits accordingly. Its that simple.

What's your maximum shutter speed?
I Only have 1s max but it seems to work well.
In Z5 this apk works very well, only bug is fc when light metering on touch.

I have xperia xz f8332
Software version stock 39.0.A.1.250
I use ([email protected] MODE) version XZ™ Camera Project Xperia XZ v3b
But i change the .apk in private app and use you application (rename your v3 to SemcCameraUI-jniLibs64-xxhdpi-release.apk) changing permission and restart
All work fine, trying all option and all working i like the new camera icon by the way.
I do a difference between your apk and peter i see that comprssion size is different and good light yours is better but in low lighte peter is better.
No lags or fc.

Google Pixel Style animated Navigation Bar Development ( Experienced Dev Needed)

I have found the trigger that starts the animation of Navigation bar on Google Pixel Devices.
Some unknown dev known to have created a flashable mod for the Nexus 5x/6p already, the dev wasn't found on xda after the mod release, so for our Nexus 5 running on Android N we better build the mod.

We got the animated navbar long before 5X and 6P did. Here is the link for the modified SystemUI. I've been using it only on the FakeNexus rom so i can't be sure if it does work on other roms.

Tested it right now, the SystemUI is broken now, no navbars nor status bar is showing, even the screen ain't responding.

Somebody forgot to put rw-r-r permission first... If you are using TWRP recovery, mount System go to system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUIGoogle.apk click it then click chmod and type 644, save changes and reboot everything should be okay then.

Try flashing this zip. Just tried it and everything worked correctly with the latest FakeNexus. Other than that i have no ideas.

We have to wait for the other ROMs to get this I suppose.

^ As we don't have official factory images, it isn't really recommended to use the zip/systemUI i shared, unless you are using FakeNexus ROM. Every ROM has its own framework/SystemUI customization, and you should wait for the developer of the firmware to make these changes otherwise the things may get worse. My point from the start was just to prove that we already had that home button animation, in some of the custom ROMs made for our devices.

Plzz post the link of rom, I need to test the code and atlest try to attach it with the stock rom. As it may work with stock marshmallow. Aosp and stock rom is the best to track on mods.

you'll find that rom on Nexus 5 Android Development section.

I downloaded the systemUI APK Google Pixel Nav Bar and I manually put this apk as system app (I'm on CM 14.1 for Nexus 5)
1. Download the file on that thread
2. Use a root explorer and go to system/priv-app/SystemUI/
3. Change the name of that archive SystemUI.apk to "SystemUI.apkbak" ...Now you have a Backup file in case somethig go wrong
4. Copy the file downloaded file in system/priv-app/SystemUI/
5. Reboot and Enjoy
NOTE: remember change permissions rw-r-r when you paste the file
