Description from original thread
Install it from Recovery.
Best swap solution. No root, no init.d, no remounts, exFAT support, easy to restore, full emulated storage support (4.2.2).
System will work as usual, sdcard0 will still be internal storage, sdcard1 will still be real SD-card. But all (most) apps (and games) will use sdcard1 as global storage path (getExternalStorageDirectory).
It is for any ODEXED and DEODEXED ROM based on 10.3.1.A.0.244 (4.2.2). (If you want for other firmwares or Cyanogen Mod please let me know ... I will make it )
Patch will replace only one file - framework.jar and will not swap sdcard0 and sdcard1 (in reality). sdcard0 will still be internal storage, sdcard1 will still be real SD-card. If anything will go wrong just restore original framework.jar.
Some users have reported about boot loop. Use it at your own risk (be ready to use backup or ExternalStorageRestore).

Just curious to know, if I'm coming from stock, I just use the odex files? Also, what happens when I already have existing apps installed, do I need to somehow transfer those files to my sdcard? Or is that done automatically or that the resource files are downloaded again?

you gotta move the files manually bro. move the files from sdcard/android/obb to sdcard1/android/obb

Yes If you don't know what odex or deodex means then use odex
as @celeritykid mentioned you need to do it yourself ... look for any kind of other folders and files that doesn't belong to you ... and move them to sdcard, then you can actually enjoy your SDcard

Yes I did this:
1. Open the framework.jar using apktool by folowing command -> apktool d framework.jar
NOTICE: (If your framework is odexed then you need to deodex it first by either a program or other methods!
2. Go to this folder => framework.jar.out/smali/android/os there will be 2 file : Environment.smali and Environment$UserEnvironment.smali

Sorry for the late reply, this did not seem to work got bootloops, I am on fxp237 now. Might try your guide for 237.

So please can you try download any free large app like iron man 3 if it works then problem lies with my phone because before putting your framework I could download any large app and even chrome is causing force close when I try to download anything

Sorry dude, no can do! For two main reason.
First: Google has banned my ip address due to restricted country internet policy etc. , which I can't download anything from google play
Second: I have limmited bandwidth internet connectivity, if you like you can try flash original framework, download your app, then nicely flash swap again to see if it works or not,
Still a logcat would be much appreciate!

Hi , i got sensedroid v9 and i must say it is amazing!
Didn't knew my 'old' xperia could handle this full function android!
Only the camera isn't working, but i read that is by all of the android versions for xperia (exept NAND)
If i could post in the sensedroid thread, i would thank the maker alot !
But i have a question: i read that if you install a kernel, your Xperia becomes way faster, and yeah i would like that. But what is the best kernel to use with sensedroid? And what does this exactly do?

i think best kernel is midnights kernel. As far as I know it is allready included in the latest Sensedroid version. When not you find it in android section.

My V9 was using ygge's Turbo kernel, if you want to use Midnight's kernel you can download his V10 kernel HERE, and remember to change your startup command.

I never use my mobile phone more then like 9hours per day, so i dont care about the battery being empty earlier.
Also i have this question: If i make the android partitions on my SD bigger, will it be faster? like: if i make my cache partition like 1GB will it be faster then? or doesn't that matter at all?

both kernel have same overall performance, for more kernel information go HERE to get the informations.
You may make your DATA partitions bigger because it will be your internal storage in Android, other than that it's not necessary to make other partitions bigger.

Ok but when i check the differences between midnight and turbo, i see that midnight charges better. And has better call function.
So i wanna try it out, but i dont get wich values i have to put in STARTUP.txt
Can you please post them? Also if i boot their haret.exe with values from sensedroids STARTUP.txt it rotates the screen 180 degrees. So i see the letters upside down , when i turn device i can read something like rootfs not found end it wont boot android how do i fix this?

There you go.. download the attached file HERE, extract it and then replace them with the old files in your npkboot folder.

No. You can listen to music, take photos...
The only thing you can't do is acess your sd card. You can only do that in recovery, it isn't a big problem.
The Most Irritating Feature/Bug for me !!!
Auto-Brightness even when you choose manual !
Hi Guys,
most of you won't notice this bug, sami dims brightness even after it is set on manual.
Go to a dark room or with low light and turn the brightness to maximum under (manual), then blow a torch or turn on more lights, the brightness will then increase.
Actually it is not a bug, but sami wants to save some more battery coz they think who looks at display with full brightness all the time....but they are wrong !!
I do and many of us do...
I use my phone at 90% brightness most of the time and due to this bug/feature I was so angry, its like buying a BMW but you can't run it over 100km/h, why ? because company wants you to save fuel ...lol
Anyways, I saw many users ask about brightness bug on different rom threads and its better to include the fix here at one place for those who needs it ..simple
attached are services.jar files for different firmwares, if your firmware is not listed then please pm me your firmware's services.jar + your rom and firmware name ie.. AOJ5, AOJ1 etc..
credit goes to @ultimatewaffel , because he actually made this happen and I went deep into his edited files and managed to find what is causing this bug and managed to fix it myself.
He was away for a week I guess, so i couldn't wait for the fix for my latest firmware so decided to do it myself and I did it
Please make a backup of your current rom (in case if something happens) and then replace services.jar in your system>framework folder and then change services.jar file permission to 644
You must be rooted and you need root explorer or any other software which allows copying in system folder and changing its permission value.

it seems your rom is stock and you haven't deodexed your rom yet, please deodex your rom, there should be some tool available on your forum or install any deodex rom into your phone 1st
services.jar file should be around 5.5mb

looks good and easy but can't say coz I haven't tried it myself....
you must deodex your rom to fix this issue
even i am on stock rom but mine is deodex rom available on my forum, please search there must be stock deodex rom on your forum also...

there is already a deodex stock rom available, i am using it myself and its pure stock :

I have attached your fixed zip on my 1st post,
plz download and replace it in your system and change permissions to 644
plz make a backup of your rom first in case you get boot-loop (that won't happen for sure)
and confirm if its working for you, and please also confirm your firmware/model and device so it could help others

I have found the trigger that starts the animation of Navigation bar on Google Pixel Devices.
Some unknown dev known to have created a flashable mod for the Nexus 5x/6p already, the dev wasn't found on xda after the mod release, so for our Nexus 5 running on Android N we better build the mod.

We got the animated navbar long before 5X and 6P did. Here is the link for the modified SystemUI. I've been using it only on the FakeNexus rom so i can't be sure if it does work on other roms.

Tested it right now, the SystemUI is broken now, no navbars nor status bar is showing, even the screen ain't responding.

Somebody forgot to put rw-r-r permission first... If you are using TWRP recovery, mount System go to system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUIGoogle.apk click it then click chmod and type 644, save changes and reboot everything should be okay then.

Try flashing this zip. Just tried it and everything worked correctly with the latest FakeNexus. Other than that i have no ideas.
We have to wait for the other ROMs to get this I suppose.
^ As we don't have official factory images, it isn't really recommended to use the zip/systemUI i shared, unless you are using FakeNexus ROM. Every ROM has its own framework/SystemUI customization, and you should wait for the developer of the firmware to make these changes otherwise the things may get worse. My point from the start was just to prove that we already had that home button animation, in some of the custom ROMs made for our devices.

Plzz post the link of rom, I need to test the code and atlest try to attach it with the stock rom. As it may work with stock marshmallow. Aosp and stock rom is the best to track on mods.

you'll find that rom on Nexus 5 Android Development section.

I downloaded the systemUI APK Google Pixel Nav Bar and I manually put this apk as system app (I'm on CM 14.1 for Nexus 5)
1. Download the file on that thread
2. Use a root explorer and go to system/priv-app/SystemUI/
3. Change the name of that archive SystemUI.apk to "SystemUI.apkbak" ...Now you have a Backup file in case somethig go wrong
4. Copy the file downloaded file in system/priv-app/SystemUI/
5. Reboot and Enjoy
NOTE: remember change permissions rw-r-r when you paste the file
