All iMS channels seem to be streaming well to PS3. However, some personal videos bring up the common ps3 data type not supported (800288c9) error.
Old iPhone 3Gs videos seem to play fine. Some iPhone 4 videos play, but most get same error. Non of the Galaxy Note videos are playable.
If you're using iMS or any other app to stream videos to either your DLNA TV or Game console, could you please share your experiences? Thanks!
Tried a bunch of other media server apps from the store. Skifta, home dia, UPnPlay, bubble up, soft media player... Skifta and iMedia are the best/easiest to set up. But still no luck playing videos... seems that PS 3 just doesn't play well with the Note video format (3gp).
I took my old dell laptop installed ubuntu and plex server. changed the settings to always keep on. installed RealVNC so that I can login from my current laptop.

This may or may not be new but I only stumbled on it today.
Like Showbox (worse UI although not unacceptable) BUT with UK Tv shows thrown in as well.
MovieDroid on the playstore

You are welcomez.
:fingers-crossed:
Keep a look out for Tv Portal. Much like MovieDroid it's hit or miss on the mp4 format; however, I've peeped out their 2.0 version (which is in beta and has zero functionality). Once released, tv portal will rank up there, maybe even surpass, showbox (current epic app ever).
Try amazon app store or SlideMe Marketplace.
Please be careful about posting about services that violate copyright rules such as showbox and moviebox. If they are providing paid content for free, then you really shouldn't post on xda.
Thanks!
Hi guys,
First, apologies if I might break some netiquette or rules, but I'm getting a bit desparate. I've searched for ages, both on here and on Google.
Here's my issue.
I want to stream 3D content that is webbased from my phone (Sony Xperia Z1) to my Chromecast. I don't have a PC at the moment.
Which isn't the problem on it's own.
However, as I'm not a native English speaker, I'd like to have some subtitles. I've already found a nifty app that converts .SRT files to either .SSA or .ASS.
Now, I've tried using a bunch of apps to achieve this, but never with 100% success (more apps than the ones below, buy they all kinda had the same functionality).
- MXplayer accepts SOME 3D streams, and can show the 3D subs. It cannot stream on its own, without sharing to en external app.
- If the abovementioned stream works on MX, and I stream it to LocalCast (or use LocalCast to open the stream directly), I can add the 3D subs (supports only 1 format though), but I get the error that Chromecast can't play the stream, and that LC can't fix it.
- If I use WebVideo Cast (which I would normally use), I can play all streams just fine, but it doesn't support 3D subs.
Does anyone know of an app that supports both casting to Chromecast AND 3D subs?
Much obliged
