Hi all, I have been running my Project Fi Nexus 6 stock but rooted and love it. I am contemplating upgrading to Marshmallow but was hoping to get some feedback from other who have gone there. So anyone out there on Fi and Marshmallow? How do you like it? Do you recommend upgrading? Some other questions:
Which ROM? Stock or Pure Nexus?
I have heard downgrading the bootloader is a bad idea after going to Marshmallow, has anyone gone back to 5.1.1?
Is there a radio that seems better for Fi?
Any concerns with the new root method?
Anything else you can add.
Thanks for and advice.

On the fence here guys. Trying to decide if its worth waiting for the OTA 2.2 or biting the bullet, rooting and testing a cooked rom. Any performance issues or problems with the current roms? How is flash 10.1 working? Like the idea of having full control of the phone and not too concerned with warranty issues. Want to be sure to select the right rom without too many glitches. On AT&T network.

you dont have to be rooted to be using 2.2, and the performance of Flash on the Nexus One is fantastic, especially with all the recent updates.
I'm on At&t and thought only tmobile didn't have to root, but At&t did. Anyone confirm this?

Hi all,
I rooted my LT30p about a year ago. Im currently on android v4.1.2 build 9.1.A.1.141 (which is what came installed on the phone when I bought it about 2 years ago) I now want to update to a newer version of android. I want to keep my root, but Im unsure whats the best most stable rom to update to and Im not 100% sure how to go about updating. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
Cheers

Hey all.
I've looked for some info on here but couldn't find any.
I am on the Z build from Sprint since I activated the N6 I bought from Motorola on sprint. I know the project Fi N6 ship with a different build. Has anyone come from a Z build (5.1.1) to the Fi build 5.1? Is the service any better? I also want to be able to get the 5.1.1 from Fi when it drops. I just don't want to flash and have to setup my device again if the improvement is slim. I have asked on the G+ closed community for Fi and I always get a canned response.

Not quite what I was looking for but got me a bit closer to my answer. Thanks for the heads up. I was looking for more of a personal experience going from Z build to the Fi build when on Project Fi
Well I have unlocked my bootloader, fastbooted twrp, rooted, flashed stock Project Fi build (H) , fastbooted stock recovery and relocked bootloader.
Now I don't have the fluctuations in signal on project Fi that I had with the Z build. Also I'm ready for 5.1.1 from project fi

When you root the S6 edge (any variant) PingPongRoot prevents OTA updates from installing.

Here is a link to the proper files to update to 5.1.1; just be aware it makes root impossible.

It all depends. I would recomend that before you take the update and permanently lose root, try installing a custom ROM.
There are a variety of custom ROMs available for the Verizon Galaxy S6 Edge. They all outperform the 5.1.1 build.
Try finding one in the following subforum.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s6-edge/development
If one of these ROMs does not perform as well as you expect, just use Odin to install the official firmware.
