From few days facing some problems with my vivid.Mainly with its sim detection.It is not detecting any sim card.I think there is some problem with its Sim tray.Next its charging port cant charge it properly.Next is its battery.It hardly gives me back of 3hrs hardly.
So please suggest me where can i get the Sim tray,Battery,Charging port in India/Online/Ofline

i need help.
i did the "shove the paper over the card" thing, doesnt work.
i dismantled it completly to check the sim connecter, every thing is fine, but doesnt work.
i checked the switch at the sim card and i tried with the switch up and down, and still nothing.
i flashed my rom to the original WM 6.1, still doesnt read it.
i changed my sim card got a newer one, still doesnt read it.
Someone plz tell me what it is or wat to do.
im also have that problem in my diamond

This coudl very likely be a problem with your ribbon cable... Usually the first thing to "go" if the ribbon has a problem is if it can read Sim cards... Try this... with your simcard in, power it on from a cold boot with the phone OPEN.. see if it reads the sim then (leave it open the entire time) IF it does read then, most liklely it is the ribbon cable.. (Even if it doesn;t, there is a good chance that is the problem if you ruled out the sim reader)

Is this safe? i've read on fourms it can be some sort of IMEI problem and is it better to send it to the factory becouse i have still guarantee but the phone has been flashed 3times but its on the original firmware now
I have the same problem before, I just buy a new simcard flex cable and it solved my problem.

guys my kaiser can't read my sim card
i lose it when i use android, so i use wm 6.0 again...
the signal got well for one night, but since this morning it never read my simcard...
i've use mtty, change radio, use wm 6.1, wm 6.5 and it still can't read my simcard...
can anybody help me with this problem??

Hey, I can't really help you. But the same has happened to me a few times: every time, it eventually started to work again after some time. Could be a few hours, could be a week - so be patient. I have no idea what the problem is, but at some point it started working again after I put someone else's SIM in my phone then switched back (both SIMs were of the same provider). Good luck!

I have exactly same problem with you.. since 2 days ago my kaiser won't read any sim card.
Actually it had happened a few weeks ago, my kaiser fell from my hands and hit the floor. After that, my kaiser stop reading sim card, but after one night it started to works again just like Cerberus_tm said.
2 days ago it happened again I really careless.. but this time until today, my kaiser still won't recognize any sim card.
I have done some reading in a few old thread about this case. I'm not sure myself but based on those thread, I can conclude that the problem could be because of the sim card doesn't make contact with card holder, or there is a problem with the flex cabble that connecting our sim card holder.
FYI, if you are interested in fixing the flex cabble, the price is about 700.000 IDR here in bandung.

Fixed my sim card no work issue
It was intermittently working so I knew I was close and yes the poor Tytn II 8925 has been dropped about 1/mth thanks to the stupid sprint magnet case that always seems to let go after I get up from a chair. I tried raising the gold contacts that touch my sim card, that did NOT work. I tired putting one layer of masking tape on my sim card, that did NOT work either. I even got a new sim card from my carrier $10, that did NOT work. Finally I tired pushing down on the steel house that holds the sim card, that worked!
Just put a piece of paper on the back of sim card while inserting it into the sim holder, my kaiser suddenly started acting like this, I slid a piece of paper at sim's back and now its working pitch perfect

Seems to work after battery removal and 3 restarts, getting ready to dump the phone.... It works for a couple of hours, then all of sudden sim card can't be read....can't live like this.

perhaps by way of radio uprgade you can handle !! You can get more information at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=393182
perhaps try reinsert the sim module if you are ok to open the device up? or replace the simcard module flex cable
So i tryied reading the forum but i really did not see anything like it so I will ask my question.
My Tytn is in great shape(normaly) without SIM and jut to be shure i took the memory card out to. But soon as I insert the SIM the display just stucks. Can't use any buttons, can't use touch display, it just stays like that with dimed display.
And yes I did try my SIM card with two other phones and guess what- no problem there. It seems to appear only on my Tytn.
So please, if someone has any ideas please share, so i woud be able to use my freaky phone!

I think you have problems SIM Issue door ...! you'd better release the SIM card first then try a soft reset your device ....
after the soft reset you can replace the SIM card and the device operates properly
I did soft restart I even reinstalled the rom but still...
Shud i go to my provider and ask for a new SIM or i some kind of mechanical problem with the door?

Hi Everyone,
I have one big problem, when I insert my PlusGSM sim-card my X8 don't recognise it, but when I insert PLAY or T-Mobile sim they both are recognised and connecting to network. PlusGSM sim is working when I insert it to my SE C902, how can it be?
I will add, card was working hour ago, but stopped working after my X8 drop and battery fall out from phone -_-
I'm using nAa-kernel v06b, and MiniCM7-2.1.5.
Please for fast response, because I haven't access to my contacts

As a temporary solution, you should insert your SIM in another phone to backup your contacts, at least to know if your sim is still works.
Edit: Oh, this's a old thread!

probably no, because it works on other phone.
Just verify if all the "Sim connecting pins" are okay and there isn't any damaged. Because every sim has the Chip in different positions (for me it is) and some doesn't fill all the pins, i think.

i use multiple sims in my note...
today morning when i tried to change my sim i find that the sim got stuck in the sim slot... im using the normal sim not the micro ones with adapter....
when i try to pull it out it comes only 3 to 4mm out after which it gets stuck.... so i slid it back in and switched the phone on... to my relief im still getting the signal... so what do u ppl think i should do... any ideas!!! any way to get the sim out without gng to service centre
May the the pins have been damaged and it's stuck on the sim. may be watch a video about opening a note and check if u can do it user self.
