!!!FOR MISUNDERSTANDING, I TELL THIS TEAM WILL NOT ONLY BUILD FOR SGY BUT ALSO FOR SGM!!!
Team MIU-Y is hiring. Team MIU-Y is a ROM development team. This will focus on building ROMs based on not working ROMS such as CM7 just to give you the look of CM7 and make you feel, yes, you have a CM7 working phone. This name can be changed depending on the Votes. MIU-Y is just for reference. Though I know that Galaxy MINI has MIUI, I require some devs to help me through to make something like MIUI for the "Good-for-nothing" Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360.

I want people from as many devices as possible. This team is "RIGHT NOW" developing for SGY. As soon as it is complete, I will require some files from your phone. So I am hiring EVERYONE... So if you want to become a tester, the more the tester the better.
Tell if you are in.

New to android studio !!!
Any tips or tricks ???
Are you new to Android Studio or new to Android Development in general ?
New to both !!! ☺? !!!
Java First
Well I suggest first things first with Java Tutorials, have a Google about some online, interactive websites, tutorials etc.
Java is the main language of Android and a reasonable bit of Java will certainly help you first.
Personally I find videos more helpful but it's all up to you.
The Main site of Java tutorials is located at docs.oracle.com.
Okay ... cool !! Thanks buddy !! ☺☺
Tutorialspoint has a good Java guide, check that out.
I learned a lot from youtube. I started learning android development from TheNewBoston youtube channel but it teach using eclipse. So, i started learning android using eclipse.
But after android studio 1.0 release, i transfer to android studio. Slidenerd youtube channel really help me. Beside the Imdian english accents, i love their video.
I still manage my old app using eclipse. But for new app i use Android Studio.
Thanx everyone for your support !!
Mobile App Development Tips for Small Businesses
Today, smartphones really are a requirement. A good range of people tends to be on Smartphone technology for the purpose of doing some of the everyday chores. You can find so many manufacturers of the products; competition out there is quite great. To have an advantage, these companies make sure the products they create are much better than those of the competitors. This is why app development is often a profitable project.
Yeah i know dude !!! Thanks for the info !!
Question
Hi can you help me for my project... I want to create a mobile app which is automatic writing in microsoft word through voice recognition. It may possible to do in eclipse?
Great !!
Just use CodeAcademy.com
As you have an interactive coding tutorial that will make you complete you're lesson before you can continue.
Thank u so much bro !!!??
Hello! I started Android development about a month ago. I had experience with programming especially in C. But Object Oriented Programming was new to me. So I started as people said above with tutorials/books about java. As soon as you get the basic idea of how java works you should continue with tutorials about how an Android program is made. Google's Android development page has a pretty good tutorial and teaches you step by step. If you are bored of reading you can watch videos on YouTube. By the way New Boston recently made new videos about Android Development with Android Studio.
These stuff should be enough to get you all the knowledge you need to build basic android apps. You can search google for some specific functionality you want to add to your app. And of course you can download open source or sample apps so you can see how all these stuff are implemented.
Hope this helps you!
Yeah ! thanks for ur help buddy ! ☺

Hey there ,
As we all know since the device launched in INDIA dated Sep 24, 2018 till date, we have very few custom roms!
The main reason behind this is we have the only major bug i.e VoLTE.
And no doubt, 15+ devs are working on it daily... But the main problem is that the devs has lack of community support!
The community only demands of "XYZ" features and won't show up for testing those features!
Till date we only have 4 testers!! So the testing period takes a long time! As not every tester is available all the time!
Also most of the devs don't even own the device! So they are totally depended upon the Testers!!
Now the situation is that there are only 2 tester left!
Devs are struggling for getting debug about their work! And if this situation doesn't get a workaround....
WE WONT BE ABLE TO CONTINUE FURTHER!
Afterall,
no testers = no builds = no custom roms = no volte = no pubg (lagfree)!!
What are you guys waiting for? Help the devs by being tester.
We can't build further without testers. Simple. If you guys can't test we will stop building!
So be ready to say bye to custom roms!

HI you guys are awesome
Well hi all, I'm 'new', but not really that new, since I've been searching through XDA topics on many occasions for quite a few years now. Not sure why it took me so long to actually make an account, but here I am.
So about me - half geek, half creative, F/LOSS enthusiast for over 20 years, full time Linux user since 2006, interested in way to many subjects to ever become a specialist in any of them within at least a dozen of life spans. Hence I don't think I'll ever be able to call myself a developer, but hey, we'll see ;-)
Hello everyone, i'm back here after a long, long time
I used to read alot here when i was 10 - 15 but I think i switched to iOs during 2010s and i never really had my phone in the center of my occupations so i bought some macbook & iphone and i started to learn code. (mostly js)
I would be really happy to help users here, if i can, and discuss about my new device. 2020s seems to be redditable as **** tbh, the xda lost kid became some kind of creative dev who's going back to the r00t
Thank you for everything I have read here over the last years!
More than anything, XDA is a community, and we're all here for different reasons.
Some are here to mod their phone--some joined just to ask a question. Or perhaps, like many, you joined so long ago, you have no idea why you're here (which is totally fine! we've been around for almost a decade). And we're in the process of making XDA more useful to everyone here now that we've moved to much better forum software.
But we'd love to know your XDA story: why are you here, and who are you? What's your day job, what phones do you have, where do you live, what do you like to do for fun? We'd love to get to know you!
Also, be sure to spend some time filling out your profile:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/account/account-details
And also adding what phones you have to your inventory:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/account/xda-devices
thanks and welcome. I'm one of the guys in charge and my DMs are always open if you ever want to chat or even complain.
Go ahead and make a new thread in this forum instead of replying to this post.

What's up,
I'm youngspeed and I'm here to further my knowledge on tech. But I also have a few questions.
1 how do I sign in to the app because it redirects me to my browser to confirm authorization but when I do it takes me back to the XDA app but doesn't sign me in. (Update: I was able to sign in so I don't have a question about this anymore)
2 does anyone know how to get Google Camera on the Samsung A10e without rooting or flashing because I have been trying but no success. If there is a way can you send the apk please?
And lastly how do I make a discussion? Thanks

Hello. I have an LG expression 3 and a MotoG 7 power .i am here looking for a ROM or theme for both phones.
A while back I had an AOPk boot animation that was awesome and the alien ROM ( I think) . it had awesome fonts and icons. I was wondering if UI theme kitchen is still around and if either phone is rootable and or would be compatible with the theme kitchen. ?? Its been a while but I really hope you can help me find something . both phones are pretty plain and boring .
Hey All,
I am a Redmi 5 user and I am here in XDA to find a way to root my phone and also see that, if there is any possibility that I can upgrade the Android version as mine is stuck at version 8.
Well i like the internet especially for the opportunity to learn from others and share information with people that equaly appreciate the content as much as i do.
Here i gonna admid i am more on the newby side.. I played around with phones in the past. Mostly following up tutorials of people that really understand what they are doing... And this way i can create something with their help that me on my own would be hard to accomplish... We build on each other in different aspects of life and here i am appreciating to receive knowledge of the ones that are really into electronics/software/programming. ..
Its a strange, extremly complex but logic world that i find myself in when dealing with modifiying electronics .
Thanks for sharing this with me
Hi all,
I was in read-only mode for years and now I had to reply to a post.
I've got a Samsung S8, S20 FE, Chinese Android car head unit. I'm interested in Android apps to make my devices more usable, comfortable and so.
Thanks for everyone
Hi there!
I hope I can find all the answer for my question without posting, so I don't bother you
Heya, I am Aaron, joined XDA for useful apps, support and to comment under programs or roms I use, nothing much to know about me

Welcome to XDA!
Have a good read and enjoy!
Hi. I'm a french CS engineer and a Debian addict.
I systematically root all my phones and have a specialization in tuning the iptables to not talk to the GAFAMs. Rooted phones so far : Huawei codenames HAM, NEML51, old samsung phones, a couple of Wiko phones.
I've been following XDA-developers for a decade and decide now to onboard :
* Short-term goal : get some help on a very edge case involving dm-verity and kali nethunter on Nexus5X (bullhead)
* Long-term goal : wait patiently for the day when a full debian phone / ubuntu touch will be available at a relatively low price, and help all along
hi. im just a nobody playing around with his phone 3
I'm just another enthusiast of Phone customization, such as custom ROMS, Kernels, Tweaks and so on.
I also make some mods and apps as tools i use. Should i post them? idk, i don't really have a lot of different devices to ensure their correct functionality.
Currently working on? Not a tool really, i took a time to make a mod of a forbidden HTML5 game engine, fixing lots of flaws and adding neccesary features, also learning game developement in the process.
Hi Andrew! Welcome to the community!
Part of xda-developers is to share and learn new things. I am sure that the mods and apps you made may as well come in handy for other people in here in some way or another, who knows
I wish you a great stay!
