Hi there,
Just today I received my new Teclast x98 3G, all good and happy after changing to Mirek rom, although I've noticed that the sound coming out of the speakers are very low! even if I select the maximum is still very low, with some noise around is almost impossible to hear anything at all...
is it just my tablet or is a common thing? Any solution to fix this?
thanks!
Dude I have the same issue. It's almost impossible to hear anything, even when very very close. Actually it's the same under Windows.
Flash Mirek 6.1 full version of the rom. It consists xposed framework with viperfx app installed which improves sound quality and can improve sound loudness in viperfx settings (there is an option there) so try it.
I preconfigured the viper in my full rom just install and the device will be lauder .

Hey guys,
walking home yesterday was listening to music with audio booster and all was great, bass was fine.
Later on in the day, tried and didn't want to work at all. It played fine but no bass, really terrible sound.
Using the HTC headphones that came with the phone. Is there any way to reset the settings back to normal as I MAY of changed something without realising.
Cheers
No-one got any clues on this? I've searched High and low and isntalled the paravolume thing but nothing's helping this..
Really tinny sound now, with and without the standard headphones (i've also tried high quality in-ear ones that should be good but just arent).
Cheers
Hard reset?
Hard reset the phone, and it's fixed!
Any idea what settings MAY of changed this? Audio booster was enabled, and disabled etc and no change what-so-ever (aprt from a bit less tinny sound nothing major)
Cheers!
probably just a bug ^^
I've got the same problem now. Probably some app is causing this, because after I changed ROM (so it's like HR) the problem is still there. Sound is fine on speaker and through BT stereo headphones. Anybody else had or has such problem?
I also have this problem (O2 Diamond 1.37.401). Few day ago everything was ok, but now, sound is full of distorsion and no bass in present at all, Bass booster made no help. Maybe Advanced Configuration Tool made some mess, becouse it has setting for default volume, and bass, treble level? Are you using this tool also?
I find the solution. Audio booster have a bug.
Plug your earphones, run Booster, disable it and close.
Now unplug and plug phones again back, run booster and enable it.
That worked for me.

reinstall the ROM and RADIO and the problem might be solve coz sometimes back i had the same thing but without distortion only the no BASS was when i used to play music so i did a latest HardSPL and installed custom ROM and a updated RADIO and WaLaaaaaa the problem was solved so best of luck to you
Hello All,
I searched first by the way :-/
Recently my Nexus has had its earpiece too loud for both Incoming and Outgoing Calls.
At first I thought it had something to do with the radio, so I downgraded. It actually worked on the first call but after that it was loud as heck even on the lowest volume.
I tried to retrace my steps with my applications next, but nothing that would point to the earpiece. The last apps installed updated where mostly games like Fruit Ninja and Aliens vs. Humans, so I think we can rule out that.
The specs in my sig should be up to date.
The only variable that has changed other than the ones listed above is the fact that I recently bought a Jawbone Icon Bluetooth Headset. But to my memory, this issue began before that.
Can't find a solution anywhere cause it seems most people have an issue with the phone being too soft lol.
I'm really looking for some help guys. I'm just short of wiping the phone clean and reinstalling CM6 and my apps. If that dosen't work I'll have to use the warranty I guess. Had the phone from about Sept 10 I believe.
Let me know if I missed anything guys. All ideas are welcomed to fix this issue.
It's probably because of CM. CM uses a audio boost kernel by default, so I'm guessing that's the problem. Try installing no audio boost kernel to see if it solves the issue.
yeah if you are using cyanogen ROM, they added an audio boost hack long ago. on cyan 5.0.8 the audio boost was so loud that over 50% volume started to distort the speaker and kill your ears. so in later releases they split the difference and lowered it somewhat.
but the boost has always been there. the only likely possibility is that you recently started enabling DSP settings like compression or the EQ, which would suddenly now make things way louder.
Wow thanks guys. Had no clue that CM had an audio boosted kernel. Guess I'll be flashing something else for the while. Something as close to vanilla I guess.
Oh, I also checked the DSP settings, everything was off but was worth a shot.
Thanks again for the replies!
Just to let anyone with the same issue know, I found away around it. I installed one of Wildmonks kernels without the audio fix.
Kernel 2.6.35.10 to be exact. I get to keep my cyan features and have a decent volume ear piece too. Yay!
Good work. It's funny cause most people complain this phone is too quiet. If only they see this post!
hello,
Im running the latest CM11 and nearly everything is running great. I have amazing battery life, the phone never heats up, and I was able to get the LG remote working.
I am however having two problems I was hoping to correct and searching has come up with no solutions.
- I connect to my car everyday and stock rom would display metadata from Google play and Pandora however on CM11 no info is displayed on my kenwood in dash.
- My speakerphone volume and quality is horrible including trying to play music. any volume over about 50% results in distortion and speakerphone volume is so low its unusable.
- I know viper4 android is out there but have not been able to find good information for getting it setup and installed.
Any help with these issues would be appreciated.... the Bluetooth thing i can deal with the speaker issue may mean going back to a stock rom unless i can get this sorted.
Cheers!

I have tried DSP manager.. does nothing to improve sound quality.
My battery is amazing on the latest CM11 but I am running furnace kernel with some tweaks, I was able to get 34 hrs out of my last charge with moderate use including 1.5 hours of GPS.
I also have not experienced any reboots, this had been my daily for just over a week and have not experienced a single reboot or freeze. actually no problems what so ever aside from the two mentioned in the OP.
Hopefully i can work out these problems this eve or back to stock it will be... gotta have speakerphone.
Hello All,
I have an issue with Nexus 6 after the recent update of 6.0.1. Through eaphones the sound is very low and it is plain. No bass, could not hear clearly. Maximized the sound and cannot hear properly.
I have tried logging in safe mode and nothing worked. I have also updated the music apps/video apps to the latest version, still no luck.
Music and Video apps which used are as follows:
1. Google Play Music
2. Blackplayer
3. MX Player
4. VLC
5. Youtube
Seems no dust inside the audio jack, still it isn't working. Also, I am sure that I did not drop my phone down.
Could someone help me out with this issue? Has anyone had a similar experience?
Regards,
Try going back to 6..0.0
If its really software related, it will be good to know.
I just got a new Bluetooth headset and noticed turning on the equalizer in play music lowered the volume and sliding the bass higher resulted in even more of a muted sound. It sounds a lot better with the equalizer off. Just a thought in case you have it enabled.

I didnt notice a difference with my earphones however it had low sound with my headphones before 6.0.1 and with 6.0.1.
RE:
Thanks you all for your valuable responses.
seems there is no issue with the Android Version. Many of them stated, it works with latest android version.
I suspect its a hardware issue. I have tried a factory reset, Hard Reset also cleared cache data but no luck. I did not go for flashing the latest OS.
Submitted the device to the authorized Moto Service station, awaiting reply from them. They said there are chances, there could be an issue with the audio jack.
Any suggestions ?
Hi guys, today I'm reporting this bug. I've done a full wipe and re-installed latest Beta on Mi8, but the sound is very low on BT compared to past days. I've to set audio to max to listen well.
I've tried PaMu Scroll, SoundCore Liberty Lite and a BT speaker, too. Definitevely not a BT devices fault.
Also tried to edit mixer_paths_tavil to 94 from default 82, but sounds the same.
What's wrong with it? Because my friend, same ROM and device, works well as me before.
I tried Ainur Mod, V4A Boost etc. to improve, but without success.
