Asian language message presented when attempting to root using Odin? - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Everyone,
I have been attempting to root my SM-N9208 using these instructions.
Whilst I have followed the instructions to the letter I have not been able to finish the rooting process.
When I boot into 'Download Mode' I see the following screen -
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The above screen varies slightly from that shown in the instructions (provided in my earlier link), but in essence the options are the same. I therefore press on the Volume Up button.
I am then presented with the screen below -
At this point I load up Odin and attempt to flash the rooted Kernel. Odin inadvertently freezes and I am presented with the screen below (on my phone ) -
Unfortunately I cannot understand what is written on the above screen. Can anybody share some light on what this screen says, and or explain what I can do to proceed with the rooting?
Any help here will be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Davo

Hi All,
I have answered my own question, there is a vital step missing from the instructions in the link that I was following. Of course I found a better set of instructions on this very forum - [GUIDE] How To Root SM-N9208...why go anywhere else?
Once I followed the 'CROM Service App' step and rebooted into 'Download Mode' I was presented with the screen below -
Simply pressing the Volume Up button got me on the right track and I was then able to flash the rooted kernel.
Kind Regards,
Davo

it said you have to unlock your phone before flashing any stuffs, i think it means bootloader not sim lock
Sent from my LG-H961N using Tapatalk

Hi uLYgRaPHiCs,
Thanks for getting back to me on this - the message as you suspected is related to the 'CROM Service' lock status. I overcame this by downloading an app from the Samsung Store and unlocking the CROM Service. I have now successfully flashed a custom ROM to my phone.
Kind Regards,
Davo

moving to wizard upgrading.
You need to enter bootloader mode (search xda wiki for instructions) and run official rom upgrade.
Well,cudn't understand what you are saying,what you want to do ? Plz be a little more specific.Are you stuck on the splash screen and trying to recover or trying to upgrade ? well,if its stuck on splash screen,try the Soft reset or Hard reset,if still it doesn't work,download the official T-mobile Rom and flash it.
Cheers!
maybe it will help you i dont now good luck

3. connect the Charmer to your pc (make sure your battery is fully charged)
4. run the t-mobile rom.

problem with upgrade firmware

Hi...
I am trying to upgrade the firmware of my Galaxy Si9000.
When I connect to Kies, I get a pop-up saying my firmware is PHONE:JP2 and a new upgrade PHONE:JV4 is available. I tried upgrading but once the process starts,
First I get an option to Backup Data.
Then, I see a window which says "Preparing device for Firmware Upgrade"
And that's it. After some time download begins , in between 50-60% its stops
The screen on the phone stays with the working man but nothing is being upgraded till the moment when Kies asks me for firmware recovery. Unplugging the phone and restarting brings it back to its original state.I tried doing 5 to 6 times but no help.
Any idea???
My Galaxy S is currently running on Android 2.1
Kies is updated to the latest version.
and
i also tried with the manual firmware update or any other custom ROM firmware update from the trusted source provided at AndroidAdvices.com, but the problem is my device doesn't go in download mode (Volume Down Key + OK button, and holding both simultaneously press the Power Button)...plz help me out........
1. Dear kumar, have you tried to multiply your question even more? I saw that you already asked this question in "Ask me for anything..." thread, and you have started new one... Maybe you shall ask in SG General? Maybe in SGS2 threads?
2. Buy a jig from eBay to go to download mode...
samsung galaxy si9000
instead of buying Jig ......is there any other alternative way to go in download mode?
use "adb reboot download"
You can update using the Heimdall One-Click from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330491

[HELP] Home button not working after flashes...

So my uncle was flashing stuff into his phone (GT-i9100) as he does from time to time, and suddenly the back button stopped working.
He continued to flash things in order to fix it. He actually did it but as soon as the back button was fixed the home button "broke", apparently caused by something similar. I guess it's not a hardware problem.
He gave the phone to me in case I could come up with a solution.
I have already flashed all the stock stuff (2.3.5) with Odin, but the home button remains dead. Even in recovery mode and all that (I can't even put the device in download mode with the famous combination, I had to do it with ADB).
So the question is, is the home button recoverable? If it is, how?? If not, can someone explain to me how did it died??
Thanks a lot.

nexus 6 marshmallow root using mac osX - error message! - device is currupt -

nexus 6 marshmallow root using mac osX - error message! - device is currupt -
wanting better optimization for my Nexus 6 with marshmallow build MRA58R, i started the process of unlocking BL and going for root access following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/how-to-nexus-6-one-beginners-guide-t2948481
right in the beginning already im stuck. i unlocked bootloader fine, had toggled on in the device, checked through terminal. everything fine. started root process and as soon as i ran CF-Auto-Root it started its thing and rather pretty quickly a new screen came up reading in red letters "Device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and may not work properly." for maybe one second before shutting off. i can briefly get it to power up, only to get that same screen. a couple times i did have it back in bootloader mode through ADB from the terminal. but nothing since. the few times i did get bootloader up i tried a recovery process from the site referred by the error screen itself here: https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/6185381?p=verified_boot&rd=1
but when i ran fastboot oem unlock it now says it cannot find device and tells me to go into device and change OEM setting in developer tools. kind of tough when it wont boot up. i sure would love a solution to this one, id appreciate any help..
added: on the device in bootloader mode it reads USB connected but on the laptop will not recognize any connected devices?

I am no expert, but it seems like you are having the exact same problem that this person had. It seems that the guide will not work on 6.0, but luckily, he seems to have found a solution.

Little brother messed up his phone... and I'm too dumb to fix.

Hello new friends.
My little brother and his inventive mind were messing around with his phone and this started to show up:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
(btw, I tried what it says on the screen.. did nothing.. also trying to flash a new rom did nothing)
I know little about Motorola phones and rooting in general... all i can do is "root" samsung with silly Odin software (easymode right?)
I gave the phone to a friend and after some examination he said that somehow my little brother managed to "delete and/or corrupt" the phones main partition. whatever that means... He was unable to do a hard reset because at some point the phone said there was a problem with one of the partitions.
Now.. while I dont know much about android and motorola, im great following directions.
is there a humanly possible way to fix this?
I can get to this menu below, but everything I touch goes back to bootloader message:
Additional info with numbers mumblejumble:
Thanks in advance,
Dan.

as I understand it this is only the bootloader unlocked, the phone works regularly only that at the time the alert you. There are two ways to avoid this annoying message:
1 relock the bootloader
2 use an alternative screen that hides the annoying warning.
before re-locking take a deep DELETE and uses a script to reload a ROM from scratch
Find it all on xda !!!! look!
