I used to run a 2600mah battery in my G1 from them. I loved it. Im waiting for clearer pics of the Mugen battery door though, this one isnt that great looking but the price is much better.

where did you order it?
Im using the Anker battery right now. I bought it from Amazon and it is working perfectly. The only issue is it is too large to fit in ky older Anker wall charger... I had to modify a little bit.

OEM is 3100mah which is the same as the anker (supposedly)
anyways, just bought the 2x battery + charger combo since don't have a charger for the Note 2 batteries and that's like $4 alone on ebay anyways.

I don´t think that paying 45 USD is worth the additional 100mAh more but I might be wrong

I have contacted MUGEN a few days ago and this is what I've got as a reply:
"Thank you for your email!
Yes, we will have 5000+mAh battery for Note 2 at December."
So this might be a good thing, I just hope that it will not be bigger in thickness, maybe they can figure out how to make it the same size, but i highly doubt it unfortunately

I suppose it will be thicker than the stock. Anker did not offer any improvement in mAh, Mugen offers only +100mAh so I doubt that you can fit additional 1900mAh w/o making the battery thicker. 1-2 mm thicker battery won´t be much of a problem because you still could fit that battery under the plastic cover (tried it out). we´ll see I think, but I am not getting anything that makes my SGN2 any thicker as it is.

With this I suppose a 5000mAh battery from Mugen should be possible w/o making it thicker than 1-2mm (lets hope "fingers crossed")

I've always had great results in the past, however I've always sacrificed the thinness of every phone I've owned. I guess that's the toss up.

I think that Samsung is improving their own batteries so there is less room for improvement with aftermarket. The Anker battery in my S2 was better than stock, but that wasn't the case with their S3 batteries. Either way, having a spare battery available is really really cool when your away from a charger

great price.. but i've never had Anker before.. how long do they last? Those cheap chinese batteries that I've had in the past (for my HD2 for example) lasts about 4-5 months and would refuse to charge after that. How is Anker?

I know the note 2 had a decent battery life, but why not strive for better?
With the galaxy note 1 you could buy a certain gold battery that was rated at 3250mAh. I'm not sure if it's that high but certainly after 6 months use between the two I can say it gives an extra 10% any least. This would work with the original back door.
I can't see a post relating to another battery of that type here, does one exist?

Check out post #9. Gold batteries are such a scam it's ridiculous how they are still selling as they are. Anker, Onite, Q cell and Hyperion all make aftermarket batteries. They are all rated around the same as a stock battery. You are best off purchasing an additional battery to keep on a swappable cycle.
I'd also like to see some legit slim-sized batteries for the Note II that are ACTUALLY a few hundred mAh more.

I understand the idea of swapping batteries or carrying around an extra, effectively doubling your battery life. For me I'd like slightly higher capacity while keeping the same form factor. One of the points of a higher capacity is to eliminate the carrying of another battery. IMO its just another thing to think about and check for when I leave my home. That's just my 2 cents. As for the actual question, all I've been able to find is the 3950 mah battery from ebay which has already been reviewed and is actually similar to the oem.
In Germany the company "Akku-King" is selling a 3300mAh normal size battery for around 15€.
I got a 3200mAh Extended Battery for my galaxy s2 from their shop and it's working really great!

I will attest that Anker makes excellent batteries. I had 2 of them as swappable spares for my Mytouch 3G Slide and they were rated about 200 mA higher. They worked far better than the OEM battery did. I would avoid using my original battery.
Got a G2x later on and that thing killed batteries. I tried a few differ brand batteries and ultimately coughed up the extra money to get an Anker battery. Was the only battery that wouldn't be destroyed by my G2x.
If Anker comes out with a higher capacity slim battery, I'll definitely be buying.
Last thing, I also have an external battery pack for charging on the go, also made by Anker. No complaints at all with that product either!

Don't you think a corporation like Samsung, with the amount of money they have, would put in the largest and highest capacity battery that they can make?
Either way, get another spare battery or go with an extended. At best, you will have the same battery life with an aftermarket. Again, at best.
I would add in Pisen who also make great batteries - from experience, and reviews. They currently have the same rated mah as the oem and I'm waiting for a higher rated one from them, or either of the mentioned 3rd parties.

/\this right here. Batteries are the single biggest limiting factor in phone and is also the slowest evolving technology. Battery technology isn't like the rest of the technology in where something better always right around the corner. To my understanding the wall battery tech has hit is the cost to produce a better lithium battery is way to high.

I bought an Anker for my Note I & II and I did notice a difference that was enough for me not to put the stock Samsung battery back in. I don't have hard factual evidence of this but I thought that I should mention it.
Anyone here using a battery with the stock battery dimensions but higher mah? I'm wanting to buy one, just wondering what you guys have and how it's holding up. Thanks in advance

It's probably because the battery is newer than your stock one, they lose efficiency overtime.
There's no battery that's stock size with a higher mah OP.

Anker does make excellent batteries! I have about 6 of their batteries for my Evo 3D, and those have a higher mah but are the same size as factory. They definitely last much longer than stock! Actually my sister and brother in law are still using their Evo 3Ds as their primary mobile phones (upgrading next week) and they also bought some Anker batteries after hearing me go on about how happy I was with them. I do agree with the above post though, it probably does last longer simply because it's newer. I'm a firm believer that Anker's mah ratings are very accurate, and if it was truly a higher mah then it would be marked as so. Why not too, as they'd sell more if it truly was a higher mah than stock yet still the same size. Either way, I appreciate your reply and willingness to help out!

I've seen quite a few on eBay, but wanted to know if anyone in here had tried them. Don't wanna buy one if it isn't truly a higher mah, as I've never heard of the battery manufacturers who make them. If they were made by Anker or another battery manufacturer that I've heard of, then I would have already ordered. Guess I'll just buy a 3rd OEM Samsung battery then. Thanks for the reply!

It isn't. Just as josh said it's not possible to put higher mAh battery in the same footprint as the stock battery without a evolution in battery technology, which is a few years away.

Well Anker somehow managed to make their Evo 3D batteries last a few hours longer than the stock battery. Not just me saying that either. If you check out the Evo 3D section (haven't been there in over a year, so don't know how deep the thread is buried by now), you'll see many users praising the Anker batteries.
Not saying that your info is false, just saying Anker was able to. Guess it's possible that HTC just didn't use all of the battery space that they had available, and Anker did? Don't know much about that technology, just that Anker definitely beat the stock HTC Evo 3D battery!

Stay away from eBay batteries. All the "gold" 4200 mAh are actually 2000 mAh. Other ones either close to 3k mAh or below. Anker and Hyperion are the only replacement brands I trust, with preference toward Anker. Been using their 3100 mAh replacement for awhile and it still performs better than oem.

There's been a lot of other phones that have eventually had aftermarket batteries which did have a higher mah in the same footprint; especially a couple years ago.
Unfortunately now though it seems lithium ion manufacturing has reached its full potential and we're pretty much at a standstill in the evolution of consumer battery technology until a more efficient material or process is stable enough for mass consumption.
The race to figure out what's the overall best solution in terms of cost, stability, and efficiency is actually very interesting to follow. There's a lot of research going on from a lot of different players with tons of different ideas right now. If it comes down to a certain lab or company that can really implement the best balance of those main factors they stand to make a ton of money from the IP.

If they're actually the same mah, then EVERY phone manufacturer should be paying Anker to dollar to make batteries for them!! There batteries will last close to twice as long as the factory HTC battery!! If it was an hour or two then no biggie, but the Anker's put the HTC's to shame!!

FYI, Anker does NOT manufacturer their products. They find China suppliers, test their products to make sure it performs as expected and meet all the requirements, buy them in bulk, and test every single product before they sell it. That is how they can keep the price low (cost saving of not having to actually design the product) and being able to offer 18-month warranty on every product because they test everything. They put a lot of work into choosing and testing these products (check out ianker.com or some of my reviews of their other stuff), and re-brand it with their name. Similar to what Monoprice starting to do lately, trying to widespread into other product lines outside of cables.

There's a lot that could explain that. The 3d is old in tech time I think my Gnex was newer and even Samsung themselves came out with a replacement battery after its release that packed almost 25% more mah in the same size cavity. So your anker could very well have more mah. Should it say on both batteries look at them.
Besides that I think HTC used to use nicad batteries until they switched to all unibody designs; maybe the anker is lithium.
And of course batteries suffer from a capacity attrition through charge cycles.

I completely agree with what you said!! The batteries do in fact say that they have more mah. By lasting almost twice as long as the factory HTC battery, that leads me to believe that they actually do in fact have more mah while being the same physical size. I am just surprised, as it's new info to me, that no battery that is the same physical size as the factory battery can actually have more mah. That's what others were saying and I've never heard that before anywhere, so that's totally new info to me. I understand that this may very well be the case in some scenarios, but not every scenario.....
Also, I'm not comparing a used HTC battery to a new Anker battery. I've compared new HTC batteries to new Anker batteries.

Well anker has proven to be a reputable company; if they listed a higher capacity I don't think anyone here would doubt them.
It's just that we're discussing this in the note 2 forum, and for the note 2 we've all learned there is no aftermarket battery that is stock size and actually has more mah.
There's only one company, called Gold, that advertises a higher than stock mah in the same size. It's been proven to be a scam.
So depending on the device, aftermarket stock size batteries can have higher mah. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending how you look at it), this is not the case with this particular device.

Correct. I got with Mugen guys into a heated argument on this forum. They pretty much came forward explaining the reason why their battery cost so much because of the original development cost and international support. I still don't justify that as a reason to charge $105 for 6400 mAh ext battery when Anker and Hyperion were charging $20 for 6200 mAh, but it's a different discussion...

Ok, cool. I guess I misinterpreted the replies then. I thought the replies were saying that no aftermarket battery that is the same physical size as a factory battery could have more mah. If they were referring to the Note 2 specifically, then that is totally understandable! I just read/took it wrong. I know we're in the Note 2 accessories forums, just thought the replies wouldn't have been as vague, that's all. Thanks for your clarification though man!!

yea I understand that it costs to make etc etc and I get that they want to justify the cost but as a consumer I will never ever pay $105 for an extended battery

yea I understand that it costs to make etc etc and I get that they want to justify the cost but as a consumer I will never ever pay $105 for an extended battery

Any canadians here have any suggestions as to where I could purchase an OEM or OEM like battery with quick charge capability ?
I've looked over the forum and most of the reputable batteries are only available in the states.
Good luck finding an oem one. I just got an extended 6000mah battery from MPJ and its been pretty good. They also have a regular 3000mah one available which you can find on amazon. Ive heard anker makes good batteries too.

Thanks for recommending MPJ 6000mah battery. I happened to read this thread days ago and received mine yesterday. Very impressive.

Glad to help. Last week I used my phone as a stopwatch with screen on for 10 hours and still had 40% battery by end of the day. Wish every phone would come with bigger batteries.

Just buy OEM batteries direct from LG - if they do not ship to Canada, then have a friend in USA order for you - or have them shipped to a mail drop near the US border.

This is really the only way to get the quality of LG OEM - all other LG battery sources are counterfeits.
They are out of stock.
Even though some people have complained about receiving counterfeit oem batteries from third parties on Amazon, I have always had good luck ordering LG batteries from there and they have been significantly cheaper from Amazon than from other sources. Not sure about their availability from Amazon Canada, but you should at least check it out.
