Any canadians here have any suggestions as to where I could purchase an OEM or OEM like battery with quick charge capability ?
I've looked over the forum and most of the reputable batteries are only available in the states.
Good luck finding an oem one. I just got an extended 6000mah battery from MPJ and its been pretty good. They also have a regular 3000mah one available which you can find on amazon. Ive heard anker makes good batteries too.
I saw in another thread somebody recommending this store:

Thanks for recommending MPJ 6000mah battery. I happened to read this thread days ago and received mine yesterday. Very impressive.

Glad to help. Last week I used my phone as a stopwatch with screen on for 10 hours and still had 40% battery by end of the day. Wish every phone would come with bigger batteries.
I basically wrote a love letter to my Powerbear Extended battery, purchased from Amazon.ca, here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/accessories/video-text-picture-review-powerbear-t3314681
Lenmar batteries from The Source seem good.

Yeah those MPJ Batteries are pretty good. I plan on getting one for my Collection I have 4 others Already. Check out My Thread
Just buy OEM batteries direct from LG - if they do not ship to Canada, then have a friend in USA order for you - or have them shipped to a mail drop near the US border.
and great news! - they are currently on a 60% off sale!!
This is really the only way to get the quality of LG OEM - all other LG battery sources are counterfeits.
They are out of stock.
Even though some people have complained about receiving counterfeit oem batteries from third parties on Amazon, I have always had good luck ordering LG batteries from there and they have been significantly cheaper from Amazon than from other sources. Not sure about their availability from Amazon Canada, but you should at least check it out.

Is there a battery available for the HD2 with greater capacity than the stock unit, that fits in the same battery slot? I'd like to upgrade without having to replace the back cover or use a bulky addon.
I purchased an Andida 1600mAh battery on eBay about two months ago. It has a six (6) month warranty, and fits my HD2 US version without any problems.
So far, I've been happy with it. It lasted through an entire round (4.5 hours) of golf yesterday powering the GolfLogix GPS application, and for me it routinely lasts several hours or more longer than the T-Mobile US stock battery.

I got one of these and it lasts longer than the stock battery by quite a while, but again ebay so buyer beware ....
Can you direct me to a link to the battery?

Sorry, I can't provide a link. eBay only shows purchases won over the past 60 days, and I bought my battery prior to that. However, I did save the battery's packaging. The website for Andida is:
http://www.andida.hk
The ID number for my battery is: GB/T 18287-2000, if that helps.

Is 1600mAh the largest battery available without changing the back panel?
Screen shots of the "official" extended battery with the kickstand make it very unappealing. Before I switched out of my Dash, I bought a replacement battery at Radio Shack. Same size, but better specs - 1100 mAh instead of the stock 900 mAh. Nice improvement. Been checking RS online, nothing yet.

i also purchased the same andida battery from hong kong via ebay. increase in battery life was noticeable but not by that much. however, the battery is quite a steal in terms of pricing considering you need a backup or second battery.
I have a different perspective on these extended batteries: I actually prefer the one that adds to the overall device thickness! I have always been concerned about these very thin devices - you can easily crack the display. An extended battery gives the HD2 more robustness.

Eager to read your results with this one, just might be the battery I go with.
Only took 7 days to receive. Fits fine, works fine. After 2-3 charging cycles (as was stated on the eBay page), I'm clearly getting more charge time from this battery than the stock battery.
Plus, you get a nice little tin case
10 bucks, free shipping, you can't go wrong.
I bought these batteries off alibaba for $14 shipped.
Not sure how I tell if they are real or not. They are oem.
Anyone tries these? They look identical.
Any tests I can try?
Thanks

You got two for $14? You can guess where I'm going with this Alibaba is a market gathering of HK retailers where they don't sell any brand names. Anything labeled as brand name is a knock off. Now, that doesn't mean these are not fully functioning, just that some of the test we run on ebay/cheap batteries turned out to show 2000 mAh capacity instead of advertised 3100/3500/4200. Nova Battery Tester measurement is not accurate, I have tried it numerous times. It's great to run stress test to discharge the battery or relative comparison test between two batteries (which you can try to run with your stock battery to see the mAh reading, and then this other battery to find out it's reading). To get true capacity you will need an external hardware battery tester. Don't want to discourage you, the one you got might actually be 3100 mAh, but I highly doubt these are genuine Samsung considering you got that from HK retailer who sells it in bulk or individually on Alibaba marketplace.
I probably going to sound like a broken record, but when it comes to batteries - go with Anker. Their 3100 mAh was tested to be actually 3250 mAh, and you can get 2 of these batteries and a fast wall charger for about $23 on amazon, although you have to check with international option for your shipment to Australia.
See if it has a water sticker on it, most the fakes didn't have one

They are OEM copies. OEM should mean an authentic item direct from the original equipment manufacturer. Mainland China will call anything OEM now.
Nothing from Alibaba is genuine.
The best test is try to send it to Samsung for a replacement under warranty. See if you get one back.
Most of the fake batteries do have the water sticker. It's the authentic remanufactured ones that don't always have them.
After the battery that came with my note stopped charging i decided to buy a replacement. So what do you think guys about this?

I have already bought it but i don't know if its really genuine. Feedback about the batteries they have selled so far is good. Batteries for my phone in my country cost 40 euros so i thought that this is a good offer but what if my phone gets damaged after using this battery? How do i recognize fake batteries?
Zerolemon plain and simple I paid 44. 95 for it makes the phone heavy but that's OK I like weight battery last 3 days

No, they're not genuine and will very likely not be true capacity.
If you're looking for a standard capacity aftermarket battery I would highly recommend these..
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00B208QDU/
I use them every single day as I just keep 3 batteries charged via a external wall charger and just swap batteries when needed instead of leaving phone plugged in. They last as long as my genuine battery does.
As mentioned above though, If you want an external you cant beat the ZeroLemon
PS. In future please use search, We already have plenty of eBay/battery topics so you could have just replied to one of them or read them and not needed to. Opening topics like this just adds to an already cluttered forum.
Not to sound like Anker fan-boy lol!!!, but www.amazon.co.uk/AnkerĀ®-3100mAh-Battery-Samsung-GT-N7100/dp/B009OWLTLO/ - those are highly reliable and on US amazon have hundreds of 5-star reviews. Actually, I prefer their 2x battery + wall charger combo for $25: www.amazon.com/3100mAh-Batteries-T-Mobile-Cellular-EB595675LA/dp/B009SYL6C0/ - convenient to use one while charging the other one and swap it. Well, i currently live in Cyprus so i can only order from the amazon uk and on amazon uk the shipping is very expensive so i can only buy from ebay. I don't know about anker batteries. Are they good?

I never had issues with them and reviewed all of their batteries, internal and external. Just so people wouldn't think that I'm biased because i review a lot of their stuff, just go to US Amazon and search for their products, typically hundreds and sometime thousands of 5-star reviews for their external batteries and internal batteries.

7 dollars. Works great.

I haven't had any luck with aftermarket batteries other than Zero Lemon and Samsung official. All the off brand ones I bought suffered battery drain issues after a couple of weeks.
I previously got a mpj 3k mah battery and been using it for a few weeks now. I think they're great for the $20 asking price. I use my phone for mainly music and use it 12hrs a day for play music with headphones. By time I'm done, the mpj has at least 70% battery left. The stock battery has around the same. I can also get around 3hrs screen on time by the end of the day.
I have also noticed the mpj doesn't seem to get as hot while charging or using the g4 like the stock battery does.
I would highly recommend them and for any phone that has a replaceable battery option, I'll buy the mpj from here on out.
You can pick one up over at http://www.mpjbattery.com/mpj-3000m...rizon-vs986-sprint-ls991-h818-us991-f500.html
You can get it for $13.99 here:

That looks like a rebranded Anker. If that's the case, i confirm, Anker bat tech is good, although they degrade quicker than OEM

This is defiantly not a rebranded Anker battery.
Anker has not released a standard battery for the LG G4 yet.
I know this because I currently am beta testing that product for them.
And yes, Anker battery tech is good
I have previously tested the MPJ 6000mAh extended battery for the LG G4 and found it excellent.
If this one is anything like that one was, it is well worth it.

After these are gone all the rest found on will either be questionable copies or third party ones like Anker.

I tried waiting at Samsung web site for over 3 weeks for a battery, with no response, I have 2 note 4, black and white for me and my wife...
my 4 older Samsung batteries and 2 charger kits and they don't hold a charge anymore, from about 10 - 15 percent left, they shut down...
I just bought anker batteries on ebay with a charger for about $31, they hold a charge to 1%.. about 2 weeks ago.
they are lasting much better than the samsungs. and buying Samsung batteries on ebay or amazon.. u might be getting these fake batteries that don't last..
I've always gone Amazon. They were OEM batteries. I always check the feedback to make sure they aren't pulling a bait and switch.

The ones on Amazon are 99% fake knock offs which risk fire. Any story you have read online about a phone catching fire is usually either a result of a cheap knock off battery or adapter.
The only two places that have Note 4 batteries still are 100% legit.
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EB-BN910BBUSTA
and the Best Buy kit I posted earlier in the thread. Anywhere else is questionable.
If a big box store gets them like B & H they will be legit too.
Amazon's inventory has been proven to be compromised. Several have posted online about their batteries even "shipped and sold by amazon" had been clones.
In case you didnt know this happens often on Amazon. The SD Card market and perfume market on Amazon even from Amazon is also like this.
I'm using the Zerolemon 10000mah battery, also if there is a Batteries+ they stock standard replacement batteries for most phones.
Im very happy with Anker bought on Amazon.

I would recommend the one from Anker, same capacity as OEM from a reputable brand that makes batteries. It also comes with 18 month warranty and a bit cheaper than OEM one. If you still want the OEM one make sure it is shipped and sold by Amazon.com and you should be fine.

1 battery can last me one day, sometimes down to 30 percent, depends on what I am doing, other times, down to 20 and under.. but it makes the day, then I swap and use the other, but only when it drains to 1 2 or 3...
they are better than all these knock off, I think I paid $31.. but they are better than all my old ones put together, wait till my wife come back from vacation, she will definitely take 1, then I will have 4 old batteries. then I have to test the old batteries and anything that shuts down from 20 or 15 percent is getting retired, junked out..

I just Re-read your post, you did say that. Well I got (hopefully) the same thing, I think I paid $32 to be exact. Fingers crossed.
I'm waiting on these in the mail. I wonder if they will be good? Ebay item 201375415018 How would I tell if they are fakes?
I'm waiting for my anker package with 2 batteries and an external charger myself.
I read in another thread, they blame the quick charge 2.0 puck for damaging the batteries. Saying the increase voltage pushed to the battery for fast charging is what kills the life of the battery.
So my question is, those who have replaced Samsung with aftermarket batteries, are you still charging at night with the Samsung qc2.0? Or just using a 1amp or 2amp charger?
Help appreciated.
Mostly use the old 2A charger to prolong battery longevity. Need a quick boost? Adaptive fast charger or turbo charger from moto.
I unlocked your mum's bootloader.
Well I disabled fast charge option on the phone so it should be charging at a "normal" rate now and not the high voltage charging.
So far these anker batteries seem excellent, at least compared to my very degraded original samsung batteries. A deal for 2 Batts and a external charger Imho.
The more I use regular charging, my battery appears to improve and return to normal. All this only supports my reservation towards devices with sealed batteries.
