Problematic Quick charge with 3rd party charger - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I just bought this third party quick charger. It worked well on lg g4.
But when i plug in my note 5, it only displays cable charging instead of fast charging. How to get my note 5 working with 3rd party charger?
Thanks

I bought a few "Qualcomm Certified" quick chargers for the house and one for the car. All of them work just fine unless I use some of my third party cables that simply are not built as well as others I guess because on some of those third party cables my phone does not quick charge.

Aukey 5 ports 40W included 1 port support QC 2.0 works fine here. I spend 80min fully charged. Fast charging also appear on status bar

I bought two Aukey brand fast charger and both working perfectly with it own cable.
Until now I not even use the stock charger yet.

Note 2 Charger for Wall/Car!

Hi guys. I would like to know what to look out for when buying a 3rd party charger for the Galaxy Note 2. For wall and car. I am using a cheap usb car charger which i bought from ebay ard $2 for my old Galaxy S2 and it works great. But when I charge my new Note 2, it was very slow.
Sent from my GT-N7105
The stock Note 2 charger is rated at 2A, so anything less will charge the Note 2 slower.
Soo ill just find a 2A usb adapter for my car or wall? will it make my battery faulty using a 3rd party 2A usb adapter?

Depends on the quality of the charger. You get what you pay for. Cheap & nasty is usually exactly that.
If in doubt, put the thing on a multimeter and check its output.

Car charger for NOTE 2.

i bought a 3rd party 2A Car charger and it still charge my Galaxy Note 2 slow. Anyone can recommend me a good charger which u guys are using right now?

Mod edit
Very unlikely that will work if doing intensive stuff on the note as the charging is made for Apple products we have a long thread discussing car chargers in the Sprint forum

This is the charger that I use. I admit that I don't charge my Note II in the car very often, but the few times I've used it, it worked well.
+1 - I use this charger and it seems to charge just as fast as my AC adapter, although I've never used the phone simultaneously as its charging. Obviously i have it plugged in to the 2A side.

Very hard to beat this charger. I have a few of them to take on trips and such, in case I forget it. Fast charging... at least double to triple what I saw trying to charge off a USB port (car or PC).
Plus you can't beat the price! Just make sure it's genuine (the one on amazon is).
Just bought one of THESE 3 days ago. Works fine here.
So do any of these actually charge at 2A? Does CurrentWidget report it as 2A?
Do they significantly increase battery life while in heavy use (using satnav with screen on)?
Thanks.

Confirmed Working USB cables

All,
Just wanted to post this up since we have been having trouble with chagrining on our phone. I resonantly ordered 4 cables off amazon, all are confirmed working.
Here they are post up all your working UBS cables. Remember the charger needs to be at least 1.8amp. I suggest a charger capable of at least 2.0amp for best results with different cables.
OK so they problem I was having was that it would show charging but would not actually be charging. After being plugged in all night the phone said 80% charge. Restart the phone and it says 100%. Not sure what the deal is but a simple restart solves it.

To be clear: these allow "fast charging" with the supplied charger? I'm on the VZW, but it should be the same across devices, right?

Yes they support fast charge with the supplied charger.
Best buy has rocket fish changers that are 2.1amp. They work I bought one today. I bought a car charger that said 2.1 amp by rocket fish and it works perfect to (using a logitech mouse charging USB cable so I don't think the cable matters)

15 foot cable with fast charging ability?
I have a long run in my car to route the usb cable from the cigarette lighter up and around the dash to the phone's mounting location. I need a 15 foot cable. Unfortunately I could not find one of these brands in that length. Any confirmed cables of this length that will allow for fast charging?

See above EDIT.. Blue Rigger cables did not allow fast charging with the OEM LG Charger.
Just out of curiosity... Example how long should it take to charge?

Got the schoshe (sp?) car charger from Amazon and 2 mediabridge cables. Unfortunately, this combo also generates the slow charge notice. I was hoping to find anything that gives fast charge, but they seem to be hard to find.
I need more than one charger (for in the car and on travel). Guess I have to send them back and try again.

So are the mediabridge and amazon questions out of the picture as well?
I can confirm the Amazon and Blue rigger cables do not work. The blue rigger do slow charge and Amazon says it is not compatible with the phone to charge....
anyone has found cables that work?

I have a Nexus 7 that came with an Asus charger and accompanying cable. This works with proper charging on my VZW LG G2(non slow).
I have also found a way to have charging (non slow) in my car using Ibolt Xpro dock. You cannot use the cable that they send you however. I have a VZW official car charger and plugged into the usb port on that is the usb cable that came with the LG G2 phone and voila it works. How is that for confusing. I would love to be able to find other usb cables that work though.
I have the Mediabridge cable in the 3ft. length and it charges just fine with my stock charger as well as my 2.1A car charger.

I have confirmed that the mediabridge cables (6') do not work with the stock charger, a 2.1A car charger, a Griffin Powerblock, etc. Slow charging on all.

My Nexus is from 2012. The usb charging adapter reads model: ad83531
I'll have this back up soon. I figured it out. Phone would say 80% after charging all night. But after I restart the phone or says 100. Sorry for the delay I have been traveling.

Does anyone have a link to buy the old Nexus chargers? I found this one on amazon however I am not sure which model it is:
Amazon item number - B008TYKEWS
In the meantime I have ordered the 3ft mediabridge in hopes that it will work.

[SOLVED]Quick Charge doesn't work without official cable/adapter?

My official cable got a damage so I bought another cable which supports upto 12V/2.1A (strange a bit.) and compatible with QC3.0. I started to charge but only a lightning icon appears (without any "+"). I haven't tested the charging time. But the strangest part is I could use quick charge with the official cable even it's damaged. But after using the other cable, I can't see the + icon even with the official one. Wth is happenning? Do anyone use any unofficial cable? What're your experiences?
I'm using ZE620KL
I don't use the official charger. I'm using ones from my old Pixel and from my Essential PH1 and both cables work fine (quick charge)

Do you see any + on battery icon? If you see is it 2 or 1? If not how is the charging time? I'm planning to buy a 18w charger soon

I'm actually going by the fact that it says fast or rapid charging on the bottom of the screen when locked. It does charge fast but I have adaptive charging on so that slows down the charging the fuller the battery gets.
i hav LG V20 fast charger (9v/1.8A,5V/1.8A) with LG cable,it show 2+ on battery icon nd charging 5z fast..
i am using 3rd party QC3.0 charger (Tronsmart 3-port QC3 charger)
using it with 3rd party 3A usb-c cable
and yep, lightning symbol and 2 + symbols are there
1 + means QC2.0
2 + symbols means its juicing on QC3.0 baby!
(i hate that i cant attach screenshot here)

Compatible third party wireless fast charger?

After the 3.1 One UI update none of my wireless chargers are able to fast charge and I'm not about to spring for a bunch of Samsung OEM chargers. Has anyone found a third party charger that will fast charge the Note 20 Ultra with the 3.1 update?
Has anyone tried using a third party Magsafe charger?
