You can do it with an unlocked bootloader as well

Micro very quiet
Hello,
I just installed the nostromopop custom Rom 2.2. And it is working great so far! However the Microphone and the speakers while doing Phone calls are too quiet. Is there some way to fix this issue? Thanks

Hey Man,
Yes they are and we had already mentioned them on this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63939956&postcount=353 but the issue seem to be from Cyanogen on which the ROM is based and not from the ROM per se.
We hope it will be fixed when the new build is out from Cyanogen CM13 Marshmallow, fingers crossed...
Loud Speaker crackling (I believe its not using the actual Sense Boom Sound), Ear piece and Mic are too low...are the only drawbacks other than that, its the best Lollipop ROM out there....
Keeping my Hopes Alive...

Sorry

Sorry,

Thank you guys. ?

For the 8563th time When you install a new rom, you have to install a compatible radio. Or else you get no sound

omg search FTW!
Not only did you not search or read the noobs guide to flashing.

Modacos Sense Rom trouble

Hi,
i would love to use this ROM,
but after installation i got a big problem. When i call somebody the call stops right after putting the phone on my ears (so that the display goes black to save energy). I could possibly continue the call if i wouldn't put it on my ears.
Strange...
Any Ideas? I allready upgraded and changed kernels
For the moment the phone is unusable
Search N1 forum for 'Wonk'. Install the 'Dewonkificator'.
Very well known issue.
You mean this tool?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=935250&highlight=Wonk ???
This is just for CM7 isn't it?
If no ->
Do i just have to install it via file explorer / "execute" the .apk?
Very well known issue

Good question... To be honest i don't know although you may be right. Have a search of the dev section as it's there where you'll see it mentioned the most.
Luckily i've never been wonked so i've not looked into the matter too closely.
You upgraded to which kernel? Some are not compatible with unsupported ROMs.

[Q] Help very noob questions

Hi you all
I´am a very noob im all this things, so may a ask you people a few questions
first if i install a custom rom like unofficial cm10.1 can a i downgrade to ics (mainly becau i will probebly sell my tablet)
another question, since a my installation of the unofficial cm10.1 whem i plug the jack (headphones) i heard a few static is any way to resolve this
thanks you all for all the Help
P.S. Sorry about my English , this is not my mother language.
Maybe you can read here for flashing stock rom, choose one http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1575.
For static sounds maybe your headset broken, and maybe the bug of cm 10 as far i know it has so many bugs.

[q] step by step downgrade from ics to jb ;'(

Hello there XDA.
First I would like to apologize if this has already been answered. but i didn't find it!
So I have a Samsung GT-N7000 Galaxy Note running the JB 4.1.2 Rooted.
When i upgraded it from ICS to Samsung JB update, it went Network lock.. I Googled the Issue and Solved it with the help of some Galaxyunlock.apk thing..
That night i came to know high pitched screeching coming through my speakers when i play anything (Video,Music even during calls), I thought that it's speaker's fault, I Plugged in Earphones, they also produced that noise.blah blah blah
IN SHORT: My Note's Sound system gone mad ..
It was rooted by somebody, I know about rooting but i haven't done it yet, I've never flashed roms, i did nothing because i can't afford it to brick!
But Now Situation is Different,
I want to get my ICS Back
.So I decided to downgrade to the latest ICS ROM , and, I found Baseband Version is N7000XXLSO.
Summary:
My Phone is Rooted..
I want to get ICS back because i think it may fix it!
Please give me the step by step instruction to downgrade it (Using Odin or Any thing)..
Thanks in Advance!!

Download your relevant firmware from sammobile.com & flash it through odin. Search the forum for odin.
(A fiendly advice, installing ics is not really a good idea. If it's the sound system that your problem is, try to flash JB stock firmware again before flashing ics.)

My Dear Friend, I did it...
But Sound system is still doing problem !!
I don't think it is a Hardware Fault because
1.There is no screeching in normal calls!!
2.There is High-Pitched Noise if i call through Viber or Skype Audio call
3.Loud speaker as well as Handsfree are producing these noises!!

Hmm, really sorry for your situation. Just a simple suggestion, Flash a custom kernel, wipe everything & Try flashing a custom ROM. See if it works..

And How to Do It??
OK. This is all answered here. It is an XDA requirement to search. Many of us have spent countless hours creating guides. Start by looking at the sticky threads in General and Q&A sections.

Microphone issue After replaced for a new one

I've beem reading in here .
but the Threads i read they don't know if is hardware or software.
but in my case i have to call it a software issue
Since i rooted my htc one (M7) using team win ( sorry if i'm noob and sad any mistake) and i install a CM11 rom and a custom rom after dislike the previous. I'm having the same issues. during call my bottom mic doesn't work. and now even on video recording just record noise.
I have replaced the usb and mic for a new one and the problem didn't disappear.
it can't be a hardware problem i think
can it be possible that rooting or flashing a custom rom have disable anything that control the bottom mic?
I've read that it can be the firmware but i dind't change it ( not with knowledge) i9m still S-ON
sorry about the bad English and being a noob
please help
