Hi Guys
I have been struggling with this for hours now
I have a ZR that have a broken screen, i want to connect via ADB (for screen casting) but USB debugging is disabled :/
I have a unlocked bootloader.
My idea was to flash cyanogenmod and hope that it had USB debugging enabled by default, but I cant seem to do that without ADB :/
I have read that its posible to use fastboot boot img.zip to boot on a recovery (and they by default have USB-debugging enabled by default?) But the zip files i find dont Work, the phone dont boot..
I can flash via fastboot flash boot, but fastboot flash recovery gives me a FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
I can flash the phone with original FTF files and flashtool..
Am I out of luck, is there no way of enable USB Debugging without a screen?
Hope that you can help!
USB-OTG cable and any USB mouse, and your problem is solved.
How will that solve anything? Will the mouse tell me what's on the screen?!? i have enabled debugging now via the screenshot method..

Hi all! like most I have joined with a problem
I Have an xperia SP-C5303
I successfully rooted the device with the Towelroot app, Then used the sony mobile flasher by Androxyde to flash cyanogenmod 10.2 onto my phone. This was all working fine.
I used CMW to install an update downloaded through cyanogenmod. When I rebooted the device it was stuck in a bootloop. The device connects top the computer in flash mode, but will not accept a flash because somehow "USB Debugging" is not enabled. It was obviously enabled before because I had already flashed the device.
ADB drivers are installed but to be honest Im a bit lost now. Does anyone have any ideas how to turn on usb debugging so that I can flash my phone again?

I can connect to sony mobile flasher in flash mode but flashing fails at the end with the program saying "For flashtool, Unknown Sources and Debugging must be checked in phone settings" how can I activate these when in a boot loop?

I would like to know if your Xperia SP has its bootloader unlocked?
The error most likely appear because you have no drivers for Xperia SP. Yes you might said that you installed it already but let's try again. Navigate to the Flashtool installation directory, which is C:\Flashtool by default. Then go into drivers folder and run the installer therein. Please tick fastboot drivers and flashmode drivers. Scroll down a bit and find Common drivers for Viskan board. Tick that as well and continue the driver installation.
After everything is completed. Close Flashtool and open in again (in case you've disabled UAC, please run Flashtool as an administrator). Then retry to flash a stock ROM's .ftf file.
Hi guys,
So I'll tell you the whole story here. I was on Lollipop, fully rooted with working XZDR recovery but phone seemed laggy so I decided to give it a full format with the newer firmware. So I backed up everything. Booted into recovery. Formatted the whole phone, then took out the SD card to load on the zip file from the PC. On inserting it, it wouldn't be detected so I tried to reboot into recovery using the inbuilt option but forgot that recovery too would have been deleted. Since then its just stuck on the Sony logo. It reboots by keeping the Power button and Volume Up pressed, but to no avail. I tried to flash the image using Flashtool but it doesn't recognize the phone when I try to connect it in Fastboot using the Volume Down during Reboot method. Nor do I get a blue LED on the phone. I guess it isn't entering Fast boot.
Please help out since its my daily driver. Help appreciated. Thanks
Oh hey guys managed to restore using Flashtool. Tried booting phone into Flash Mode again and idk how it worked this time. Breathing a sigh of relief.
Could you please explain in detail how did you managed to get out of bootllop....it seems i sucked exactly like you & now clueless....
First of all, try repair it with Pc Companion. If that doesn't work, try with flashtool.
Keep in mind, to enter flash mode, press volume down button and insert usb cable.
tried PC companion & got error 2003 (Unlocked Bootloader & rooted wont work it seems)
Flashtool, will give a try again....
As of now, i am able to go to the fastboot & can open files on my PC when connect phone via USB cable....
Phone not booting up normal/recovery mode....It just stucked with boot loops
Tried flashtool---Ended up with errors as attached pic
As i cant bootup my phone...USB Debugging option cant be ticked
I was running SlimLP (unofficial) while bricked my phone....
Anything on that please....

Try installing Flashtool ver 0.9.10.2beta4 - you can see in this tutorial section #5: Device connected with USB Debugging off, ergo you dont have to have USB Debugging on: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-stock-roms-t2240614

Not sure what you mean....... all I can say is, Flashtool 0.9.10.2beta4 does not require USB Debugging to be turned on to work and I definitely didnt turn USB Debugging on before starting the root process. Later yes but not before.
Try it or not, thats up to you.....
Hi guys! I need your help. I have z1 with ROOT and custom recovery and i would like to update it to android m. The main probleme - bootloader, i should unlock it. But i can't do it because phone doesn't determined by pc in fastboot mode or flashmode and when phone is off doesn't determined at all. But even when phone is on, pc detected phone not always, just sometimes, and phone doesn't charging. ADB drivers is installed, drivers for flashtool mode and fastboot is installed. Command window says "waiting for device" when i want to boot my phone in fastboot. When phone is on ADB works fine. So i've read many topics about problems like that and didn't find the solution. Maybe can anybody help me please?
In ADB , use the command: adb reboot bootloader
The phone will reboot and you'll be in fastboot mode and the phone will show a deep blue notification light.
You need to install fastboot drivers from the driver package bundled along with flashtool before this. So u have to donwload flashtool first
Also, if u're going to unlock the bootloader then back up your TA partition.

Yeah, I did it, the phone was showing blue led, but then it goes nothing, then pc doesn't "see" the phone. I have already installed flashtool and drivers with it for fastest and flashtool. Also I have already made a backup of TA through flashtool.
So I can do something with phone through flashtool or adb when phone is on, but when phone is off I can't do anything. I have heard that reason of that problem can be broken phone's USB port. What do you think?
And sorry for my terrible English
I've connected phone to pc in flashmode through NDR Utils, but fastboot still doesn't work
honestly, im stumped!! . AFAIK its not a problem with the usb port cuz as you said it works fine with adb. Did you try a different usb cable.
You should probably try to reinstall the fastboot drivers
But if you just wanna unlock the bootloader then you can do that with flashtool I think.

Hi! It's me again And i still didn't solved my probleme. So, i can connect my phone to PC and it recognize as Android device -> ADB interface, and as Xperia z1. If i just connect powered off phone to PC or connect phone in flash mode, then it recognize as USB devices -> SOMC Flash Device, is it right? Ok, when i want to connect phone in fastboot, phone shows blue LED and it goes nothing, PC don't determine the phone and i can't unlock bootloader
this is my frist time doing this. I follow step by step guide. I even look for solution online and still dont work. I dont know whats wrong. I want to unlock bootloader to install LOS 17.1.
im using windows 10. device not detected in fastboot.
I SURRENDER. I need help. T_T
thank you !
HELP...i tried installing flashtool driver and adb 1.4.3 still dont work
do you think I need original sony cable to be recognized?
ADB / FastBoot drivers are not all you need to access your phone via USB: you must also have the OEM specific "Android USB Driver" installed on your computer.
More here: https://www.getdroidtips.com/download-latest-sony-usb-drivers/
You mean OEM driver is, my device driver (viskan,Xperia sp driver)in picture 2.everytime I manually installed it (device can't start code error 10.)
pictures 3 and 4 show that I successfully installed the oem Sao sony adb driver and still device is not detected in fastboot mode?
I even tried it on windows 7 ultimate same problem.maybe I'm missing something?
Hello to all. I have mi 11 ultra .I wanted to unroot the device. I installed magisk for that, after disabling USB debugging and turning off developer options. After restart, device stuck on boot screen with a black screen.
Bootloader Unlocked
USB debugging is not enabled
I can not enter recovery mode using Volume Up+Power button combination. It does not work.
I can enter fastbood mode using volume down+power combination but usb debugging not enabled.
There is no way i can find, recovering or factory resetting the device.
I need help.

Download and latest adb drivers.
Older drivers can't detect the phone.
Use windows 10 , there could be issues with windows 11 with adb/fastboot.
I used my old phone's cable and it was detected. Mi flash tool did not recognize but mi flash tool pro worked. I flashed the EEA rom. Since i am not familiar with all the stuff, it took all of the night. But i managed to make it work. I can not thank you enough for your answers.
