Well, I accidentally flashed a Note Edge ROM on my Note 4. I odined back to stock but my screen isnt responsive to the touch. I would have to touch slightly to the up-left to make a selection. For example, if i want to press "Apps", i would have to press slightly above and left to actually open "Apps". It seems to that the working touch area was scaled to the top left. The display 100% perfect. Just the touch isnt responsive.

Hi All
I'm on my second Diamond, first was a grey import, 2nd is a UK spec model. I've noticed that when pressing the screen towards the bottom left and right that there are ripple effects on ther screen. This only happens when I use my finger, not stylus. This is similar to what you get on a TFT screen on a laptop or desktop.
Is this normal, as I can't re-collect this on my first diamond.
Thanks.
you press to strong.
i only notice this when i press with a greater force or my fingernail at the edge on the display.
I have the same ripple effect on my UK Diamond to, even when pressing gently with your fingernail it still rippled on the bottom left. The rest of the screen is fine though, doesn't matter how hard you press you don't get the ripple effect.
I recently purchased a Vogue off of ebay and tried out the SD Card version of Android running Incubus26Jc's Super FroYo 2.2. I wanted to do this before installing to NAND to try it out. After trying it out for a bit I noticed that the touchscreen is not that sensitive.
For example, if I try to swipe with my finger from left to right to get to the second home screen it requires me to swipe from the very edge of the device (if I don't do a swipe across the whole screen it doesn't work well) and push down hard (as compared to another newer device like the iPod Touch). Tapping the screen works fine. Other things I noticed about the screen is it isn't easy to view it at an angle and pressing down with my finger sometimes changes the color of the area immediately around the finger.
My question is whether the device is faulty (in which case I will try to return it to the seller) or is that just the nature of this older touch screen. Or maybe it has to do with the fact that it is installed to SD so it is slower to respond?
no there is nothing wrong with your phone.. the vogue uses a resistive touch screen witch requires a little more pressure than say the itouch or any new touch screen device... they have a capacitive touch screen witch uses electric currents i think.. i prefer a capacitive. but try the screen calibration app and press lightly that might fix your problem
and you shouldn't press very hard they could really mess up your screen
Try using your fingernail instead of pressing harder.

I have always thought the touchscreen on my N7 was a bit jittery, but now I have come to realize the problem is far worse than I originally thought. For example:
Load a webpage
Place a finger on center of screen
Rest palm or other finger on left edge of screen
Display starts moving/pinch scaling like crazy, even if I remove any touch from left side of screen and keep only 1 finger on center screen.
Almost all the time the touch on my N7 jitters/moves around a bit which causes issues with swiping. If I place 1 finger in the middle of a web page, it moves around slightly even if my finger isn't moving.
I think for these reasons I will be returning this tablet.

I'm having issues with the screen too. For me, it seems worst when it boots up. my example was playing Angry Birds Space - I can't control it, then suddenly it releases and (if a bird with an action) performs the action. any known fixes?
i had same problem think i found a fix
I had same problems with my nexus 7 but it started after i installed dead triger i also noticed tablet dosint come with stock file manager so i installed the same game on my asus tf300 and noticed same issues on my nexus i did a factory reset and cant make screen get any dead spots hope this helps you out
I had that once the other day. I had to reboot it was so bad. Almost felt like the tablet was laggy. Hasn't happened again though.
I do have Dead Trigger installed as well, but I haven't played it in a long time.
Hello guys recently having problems with touch buttons on my O4X
1. They work if i press the blank space between the icon and the screen (They don't if i press the icons like they moved towards the screen)
2. If i put my phone on a table or any surface other than my hand they doesn't work at all. (or 1 out of 10 presses maybe)
edit: Buttons are dead and the middle section of the touch screen aswell (about 1cm horizontal line in the middle)
Any help ?
A while ago I noticed that the calculator app I had loaded didn't recognise my touch presses on the lower numbers on the display.
Wasn't particularly bothered about this at the time and forgot about it, but today needed to use the numerical keypad for the phone app and the bottom row wasn't responding to finger touches, and I needed the 0 and #
To get around this I put the watch on the charger, that rotates the display, and using the watch while still on the charger, the numerical keypad works fine, the touches required are on a different area of the display.
The touches on the display work fine for other apps in the same area of the screen, which would indicate the screen touch sensitivity is okay....?
