hi,
has anyone come across something like that?
the back is made of glass so it only makes sense to put a screen protector on it
Well, as you do not need a back with the same touch experience as the front display, you could just use any PET protector for it?

Pet is not glass... From what i see it does not give the feel, durability and transparency of a tempered glass.
I wonder if it is even possible to develop a curved edge to edge tempered glass bezel free that really works for the front and back, unlike these front "edge to edge" tg with that fake bezel which ruins the beauty of the front... If samsung listens to criticism then they must axe curved front and back for future galaxy phones (and the camera hump and front capacitive and physical buttons as well). Samsung, do you read?

Yeh, I know it is not glass, but honestly, for the back? I would not want a PEt film on the front because of the touch experience and the slight resistance added by PET, but for the back? Who gives.....I mean honestly, it´s not like the back is used for anything apart from holding that device. And durability might be an issue, however - you can just add a new one every month....those things are probably 1$ a piece.
I use one with a bezel for the front because it is currently the only decent glass protector - all the others do either have halo around the edges or leave a 2-3mm gap around - both looking terrible....

anyways, the reason is that the phone feels amazing and i hate to ruin that with a case or a skin

Kind of pointless products, in regard to this thread anyway, since they don't offer a true transparent tempered glass and there should not be a cutout for the samsung logo because it makes it ugly. I'd rather have a back case and not these so called "tempered glass" back protector. It just looks like a case, nice try...

I understand your preference for it over non edge to edge+halo. Imo, installing a tg with bezel look unpleasing as halo and non edge to edge or worse because it makes the phone look like a cheap phone... i can't decide which is worse.
I might try pet film for the back.

You too? We are alike then. I might experience with pet film only if i decide to order rhino shield...
I assume everyone hates the feeling of PET - but it´s for the back....so it´s not like you will be interacting a lot with that. However, if you have a "back" fetish, this might be an issue
So far I find the back ugly as hell anyway - goddamn that shiny glittery back looks tacky as hell. The silver titanium is even worse.....samsung must have made these phones for russian oligarchs. I ordered a leather wrap from slickwraps and i´ll slap that on as soons as it is here. Can´´t bare the look of that shiny mess.
But, the front is nice - and yeh, I would prefer an edge to edge Glass imo. I used one on the Nexus 5, the G3, my ipads. They all were completely edge to edge with barey any border and only with a single cutout for the speaker (or the button on the ipad). Those look so great - but for some reason they are hard to find.
Due to the rounded edges the all have a terrible halo now or are small as hell, barely covering the screen - with cutouts for everything, from speaker to camera to IR senser etc (which i find unnecessary - I did not have a problem with glasses that did not have cutouts - the IR, the camera, everything worked).
They could produce a decent tempered glass shiel that would fit, but it seems that there are one 2-3 manufacturers ou there and those do not build that stuff. Even the premium tempered glasses that come at 20-30USD come from the same factory....
skinomi sells exactly what i want but for the s6

I just received the white back tempered glass from ebay, i would say it fit perfectly and the color really match. The cut out is not really a cut out and not too bad either and of course I prefer not to have. Overall I am pretty happy wit it although it is a bit pricey.
what about this:

I am currently using the Skinomi Tech Skin for the ba k glass and its brilliant!
- Its non slip. You keep it on a table and try to push it around and it doesn't move easily.
- its self-healing. Scratches go away in few hours or less.
I have also applied the skinomi for the sides, and gives me a good anti slip grip. It also protects the sides from scratches while keeping it standing in my car's cupholder, etc.
Worth the money.

Also the seller address on ebaY ?
I got some clear back tempered glass protectors from China. 3 for 10 dollars. They fit well enough to work with my rhino bumper. I'll take pictures later.

I see that Brando workshops has a tempered glass protector. 2 versions, one has rounded edges
Has anyone tried these? and compared to the SGP version.
Does the rounded edges make it stronger or just a cosmetic thing?

It's a pity that these things are only made for the front of the device. Make a glass protector for the back too and you won't need another case. Only downside is that it won't fit in the dock anymore.

Interesting
Does not seems to include cut out for the light sensors which could potentially be a problem.

You are wrong, it does have the cutouts and works flawlessl at least the rounded edition. In fact it's by far the best screen protector i've ever used.
I've dig up this thread (sorry mods) because before i bought this glass screen protector i was searching the internet for reviews and quite honestly there's barely any info out there about this glass and this very old thread on xda was one of the few i saw on google search and i thought it would be important to add my testimony here.
I also had a spiegen t-slim glass one and it was terrible. It started to chip away from one corner after a couple days of usease and it's definately because it's not rounded in the corners, it's sharp so it was bound to happen. A real piece of trash imho. They wanted to make it extremely slim but it's way too fragile and britle.
On the contrary the Brando one is absolutely wonderfull, rounded, very strong, realy good olephobic coating and realy premium glass feel to the touch. It adds a little to the screen ofc but makes the phone even look more premium. Also, it's not a tight fit to the edges of the phone so most cases will do just fine even with the added glass on the screen. (i use a spiegen ultra case and it's like the added glass is not there at all)
I would definately recomend this glass, just be warned that for people who don't use any kind of bumber or case, it does add a little bit on the screen so it does very very very slightly raise the glass over the edges of the phone if you see it sideways, it's very negligeable but it's there. The advantages outweight that only and slight disadvantage for some people who like the xperia Z "pure and raw".
Case:

Glass:
http://mobile.brando.com/Brando-Wor...d-Edition-Sony-Xperia-Z-_p09597c1586d008.html
So there you go, i'm over the moon with this combo of Spiegen Ultra TPU case and the brando premium glass rounded edition, recomend it to everyone.
Cheers
So I've had the GLAS.t Slim applied to my phone for nearly three months now and it's been absolutely great. (On top of the shatter-proof sheet.)
Feels really smooth, not a single visible scratch yet (and I keep my phone unprotected in my jeans pocket) and no issues with cracks or proximity sensor or sensitivity.
The back also has the included back protector (just plastic) and has quite some scratches, but that doesn't really matter to me. I can just replace it anyway.
I'd really recommend this to anyone. Remember that you'd best practice a little with cheap screenprotectors since you can only apply these once and they have to be placed right from the first try!

Yeah it feels great the problem is the sharp edges. It realy cool until you start using a glass one with rounded edges and then you realise the other it's not as good as you thought, it realy makes a diference.
My Spigen TSlim started to chip away very soon and i know at least 2 guys who happened as well, i'm happy it didnt happen to you.
But you can see even on their site the review comments there's a lot of people asking for a rounded edition, would be much better:
http://www.spigen.com/sony-xperia-z-screen-protector-glas-t-premium-tempered-glass-reviews.html
I have nothing against Spigen T-SLim glass, in fact if they made a rounded edition I would recomend it with no problems since the current sharp version only problems seems to be it's not rounded and smooth on the edges thus more fragile.
hello folks!
So I'm about to receive the titanium bronze Samsung galaxy tab s 8.4 and will have 14 days to make an exchange. I went to the store the other day and had a comparison with the texture of Titanium bronze vs dazzling white. So I made a little scratch test with my finger nails on the demos and the white can barely see any scratches being made while the bronze can definitely see scratch marks made. Despite this I was wondering what other pros/cons for these back covers have? I'm most likely am going to have a skin protection for the front/back of the tablet because I want to protect any scratch marks and finger prints in case. Does anyone know of any good skin protection out there? Is ZAGG any good? I'm also looking for book cases that can make the tablet stand at a 45 degree, cover the front and back for extra protection. I welcome all feedbacks and recommendations
I recommend the tempered glass screen protectors. I have one on mine. Just like the original screen.
I'm not able to scratch my back, what you using keys?
Tbh i think its pointless buying a nice tablet like this if all youre gonna do is completely cover it up and put another glass screen/protector in front of it. Making it look crap and spoiling the experience until you sell . Samsung could have done that themselves, but who would have bought it then?
Phones and covers yes, screen protectors no. In my experience screens dont get scratched/damaged unless you really abuse the device.
I have the Samsung simple cover and it compliments the tab s perfectly. Dont wanna hide that nice back.

I was able to make scratch marks that were apparent in the bronze and the scratches were easily visible if you were to take a real close look at it. If my nails can make a scratch mark out of it, i'd best be putting a screen protector on the back too : )

I beg to differ about using glass screen will make it look crap, im using a brando rounded edges tempered glass and it adds to the beauty, now it looks like a giant note for with glass screen tapered smoothly through the side. And i forgot it's even there. It would be easy/cheaper to replace a tempered glass rather than the whole digitizer when you got it scratched.
Also using a smart cover free from sammy when i bought minde. Serves its purpose.
On aother note, be carefull on thr faux metallic bronze side. It's so soft that a little bump with an edged object will leave its mark.

Thank god I thought I was the only person going crazy here because I definitely felt as if the titanium bronze's back cover was easy to make a mark on it(be it from scratch, smudge, etc). But I'm one of those fanatics where I need to first get a protector on the tablet before I even begin to use it haha. I've been seeing a lot of 'tempered glass screen protectors' than before, is it the best type of protector out there atm? Is it like in between glass and plastic? I've also had plastic screen protector or skin protector as some would call it, on my phone and have had no issues, no corner peels or as much finger prints to none, clear and see through but I do want to keep up to date of the current protection of phones/tablets. What are some benefits of the tempered glass protector have? All I really care about really are the smudges like finger prints, corner peels, no dust, no bubbles, scratch resistant of course and most importantly clear/see through.

I am the same way. I always have a screen protector ready for when I get a new phone or tablet. I like to keep my electronics in good shape. Have switched to the tempered screen protectors a while back and can definitely say it is well worth it. I use to alway buy square trade warranty for my phones but have stopped since using the tempered screen protectors. The screen is really the most valuable piece to protect. I can attest that the tempered glass really works. Both of my daughters have dropped their phones and the tempered screen protector shattered but the screen on the phone did not. Thus well worth the investment. A normal screen protector would have done nothing to absorb the impact. Anyway, I highly recommend them. Also, check reviews and different brands on Amazon. You don't have to spend an arm an a leg on these. I paid $8 for iCarez for my G3 and girls iPhones. Just as good as Zagg which people pay $40 - 50 dollars for. As far as the Galaxy tab S, I also added one due to the size of the tablet. I am not using a case since I have the matching keyboard. I have not had a tablet this large before so was definitely concerned about dropping it. Picked up the Skinomi tempered glass. A bit more at $23 but quite a bit larger screen as well.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting a tempered glass protector from Skinomi because of their life time replacement warranty : )
I made another thread discussing about the skin protections of Skinomi for the back covers.

I also picked up their clear back skin. Just got so can't comment on it yet. Again, this is the clear back. As mentioned, I have the matching keyboard so I am using this without a case on. I wanted to make sure the back at least had something on to prevent from potential scratches and dings. Not as good as standard case, but better than nothing at all.

Clear skin would be a good idea but I don't know if it has grid-like pattern that allows air bubbles to escape just like the wood/brushed/carbon skins have. But yeah, I guess i'll be the guinea pig to test it out, still debating carbon fiber/brushed. I'll write a review and show pics of it when I order it and have everything set up ready
Didn't know there are hardware differences between the two. I got myself a white Tab S because that's what was on sale at the moment. I'd buy it in any color other than pink.

I am very happy to see Glass protectors finally for our Edge but disappointed that they are colored now instead of fully clear.....Wouldnt that make the capacitive buttons look recessed or sunken in now? I just don't like the idea, kind of like adding depth to the buttons...
Skinomi Tech Glass
thanks for the post I was on that page just a couple of days ago and that option wasn't there yet. Seems interesting as most full edge covered tempered glass screen protectors are black and that one seems to actually be blue like the phone is. Also about the clear/coloured the reason is the adhesive used would show at the top and bottom so I personally don't mind it being coloured as long as it matches the original colour. It seems it's the only way to achieve full coverage and not lose
the glow from the capacitive buttons by adding the cut out as it is 0.33mm glass. I think it'll still make the phone look amazing and definitely want to give it the best yet still slim protection and this seems like it'll be for now so I decided to order it even though it won't ship until around July 17th.
would it fully cover the phone screen?
I have one. I dont mind it but it doesnt cover the full front of phone. Doesnt interfere with viewing really but the only thing i don't like is the cut for the top spots is off slightly
looks like a gen 2 protector
i don't have any experience with this particularly product but let me tell you this is not a GLASS protector but a FILM protector like INVISIBLE SHIELD or BODYGUARDZ, so take that in mind before buying

How is the touch sensitivity? Especially around the edges?
Good! Thanks!
I got mine yeterday and sensitivity sucks on the left side. I'm off by tiny bit hen installing it and that could be the reason but who knows. I did post a picture in the Skinomi review thread in here if you want to take a look. Not sure if I have gen 2 or 3 but it does look great. Too bad for my left side sensitivity issue. Slightly getting better so there is some hope. Guess I'll give it a few more days.
EDIT: after re-aligning the glass, I don't have sensitivity issues on the left hand side anymore.

Skinomi Tech Glass screen protector for the Samsung Galaxy S6 is perfect. It does not cause any touch nor tactile sensitivity at all though I knew some did experienced touch sensitivity especially on the sides. what works is aligning the shield to the center.. really it works great as those expensive brands.. worth a try!

That's for the normal screen protector, not the glass.
I know most of us (if not all) keep looking for that perfect tempered glass screen protector for our phones (not to mention that it has to be curved of course).
Today I received my Skinomi Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge tempered glass screen protector, and I'd be more than happy in sharing my review of the product.
Packaging:
Packaging is retail. I pre-ordered from their website directly (rather not deal with Amazon), and I got a cool coupon that saved me 25% .
What comes included is your screen protector, fiber cloth, alcohol cleaning cloth and dust lifter screen.
Installation:
I'm going to be completely honest here; This is my first time installing a tempered glass screen protector. Much less a dry installation. I've always used invisible shield for my previous devices so I was expecting a hassle. This was by far the easiest installation I've ever done. Super easy!
Fit:
The fit is not as great as I'd expect it to be. It doesn't cover the phone fully on the edges, you can still see some small space that's left uncovered (I've attached pictures for your leisure). I'm sure that I've installed it as best as humanely possible (actually quite proud of that haha).
The capacitive buttons on the bottom or probably my main issue; The cover completely warps them. The cutouts on the glass protector don't match the cutouts on the phone itself. This causes the buttons to look weird and warped when they light up. I personally don't care (now if this is a mistake and someone from Skinomi is reading this, then please reach out!), the case does what it's supposed to do, but I feel that it makes the fact you have a glass protector on your phone obvious.
Feel:
The protector feels great, you really can't tell there's something on top of your screen. Touch sensibility is weird around the middle towards the left edge on my particular protector (I do have to press slightly harder in order to get a response), but I'm having that after 24 hours that problem clears out.
Final thoughts:
I actually like the protector overall. It's not bad for the price I payed (although I was expecting a better fit for the buttons and a better fit around the screen itself). I'm guessing that as long as the screen protector doesn't come off like the Spigen one I would consider myself happy.
I know the pictures are not the greatest, but If you guys want better ones or different angles or something just let me know!
Hope this helps!

Exactly my thoughts. If the edges were more sensitive, I wouldn't care about the rest.
I'm very impressed with this tempered glass. SGP use to be my favorite for all my devices but I'll start considering Skinomi tempered glass going forward.
There are some sensitivity issues on the left side but hopefully that will go away once the glass settles in and will report back if it does or doesn't go away later in the week. What I mean is that I would have to press harder than normal.
Here is a pic with the glass before installation. I just realized I still had the clear plastic covering my lens after I took this picture and will add a few more pictures with it being installed once I borrow a colleagues camera phone.
It looks so beautiful once installed and no bubbles like the SGP curved one. TBH, hyped went away once I started to get sensitivity issues on the left hand side and hopefully it will go away after a few days.
EDIT: after re-aligning the glass, I don't have any sensitivity issues anymore. You might have to re-aligning it a few times if you're off. Don't worry, you won't lose any stickyness. This tempered glass is worth buying IMHO.
I have tried many accessories and I can say that most of the screen protectors suck. in my experience the best glass screen protector is http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351988284417?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT - this screen protector is absolutely amazing and its only drawback is the size, it doesn't cover the sides well enough.
As for the best case my award goes to http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351988284417?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT - It is thin, it feels great, the cutouts are perfect and the best part is what they have done with the vol/power buttons. they didnt make cut outs instead they are covered in silicon which makes it much much much easier to hit those buttons. compared to nillkin this outperforms it since it covers more phone space, has more accessible buttons, has a slightly bigger screen lip (the lip doesn't portrude much) and is cheaper.
I hope I have helped, if you have any questions please ask.

I would but I peeled it off to try other protectors and now I'm using a different one that covers more screen but has bubbles all around it. I would buy the old one again but it'll be a waste to just throw this one away even if the bubbles annoy me. The screen protector that I recommended here is great, doesn't leave any bubbles and feels amazing. Only problem is that it leaves 0.3cm out on each side which isn't too bad but it does leave a lot exposed. It's the best one you could buy and works great with the case that I also recommended. The review on the link was left by me by the way. I hope I helped.
check this out, i tried it and is pretty good, it fully covers the phones face. But gotta install it well unlike me

I finally found a screen protector that works for me. It's fully transparent (no adaptive brightness issue) and it does cover the left and right sides of the screen. There is a small 3mm gap on the top/bottom edges but its not annoying. also I had to use the included oil to remove the halo all around the edges. Here's the link:

This looks absolutely fantastic, cafele seems to be a good brand seeing as how they make such quality cases and screen protectors. I wonder if they sell the gel separately? Also what is the quality of the screen protector like? Is it oleophobic? If the screen protector isn't good then I would like to buy the gel separately and use it on a nilkin protector. Thank you for sharing this!
How do you use the oil to remove the halo?

You mean, like 0.3mm out, right? 0.3cm (i.e., 3mm) seems quite a lot. And doesn't it create the halo effect due to that?
I had several units of this brand in the past for the Mi4c but they were crashing all the time, without apparent reason.
Regarding the case you recommend, from Cafele brand, is it proeminent in front so it properly protects the screen when the phone is turned face down? From the picture in the ebay it seems not, but those pictures are not real actually.
Currently I have this case of brand Luanke from Gearbest, which seems very solid and thus protect the phone very well, volume and power buttons work better than without case (same as you described with yours) while giving a nice look, but I find it a little unconfortable in hand due to not so smooth edge cuts:
gearbest.com/cases-leather/pp_631798.html
As you can see in the pictures, the case has is least 1mm larger than the phone in the front side. How is yours regarding this matter? If you could post a picture it would be nice.

tackling your questions in order:
1) yes i meant 0.3cm/3mm (it is a big gap i agree but no halo effect)
2) The lip on the front of the case is very small, it wouldn't protect a faceplant on concrete but if you left the phone on your table then it wouldn't make contact with the screen. you are right about the pictures in the listing, the images are wrong and the lip is bigger than that but it isn't going to be very protective.
3) Ill be able to post a picture for you sometime later today. I dont have a spare camera so ill use my friend's phone.

Thanks for the pictures.
Yap, it looks as the same as the one I have now on my Mi 5s. However, I paid only 0.50 USD in AliExpress
Before this I tried the ASLING brand from Gearbest, but that was very bad: not glass, cheap plastic (you can even see a grid of small dots in the screen), noisy when touching (just as plastic), fingerprint magnet, and completely reflective, I needed to put the brightness on the maximum. And it was pulling out easily. In summary, simply garbage. I removed after some hours of use.
This one similar to yours, looks bad in the edges, but at least is full transparent and has real glass touch.
Now I ordered the Mocolo full cover and also the Cafele with comes with oil to apply. I will post pictures when I received them and after trying them.
Cheers.

Is there a matte finished screen protector for our device like in this link https://m.aliexpress.com/s/item/32624827571.html?spm=a2g0n.search-cache.0.0.70bc08b9Fx4YsM

I am using it as well and I am surprised how good the oil works to fill out the edge gaps. I am also a little worried whether or not it'll damage my screen in someway. :/

I tried al few screen protectors, but they were all crap. They did'nt stick on the edge of the Display.
My last try was this one and i realy can recommend it:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B01N3RHZDC/ref=ya_st_dp_summary?tag=93ref-21
It's a so called full-cover. It fits absolutly perfect to the display and its nearly invisible. There is no ugly edge where the cover does'nt stick on the Display.
The fingerprint sensor is still working without problems.
btw.....I use it in combination with this silicone-case:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/aw/d/B01M2DNTD2/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=93ref-21
In combination with a silicone-case you can't see that there is a screen protector on it.
It looks simply great in my opinion.
The only negative thing is, that the screen protector is more sensitive for greasy fingerprints than the original display. But hey.....that's no big problem.
Yes, I know. Its not the cheapest solution. Maybe you can find similar parts on aliexpress, but no guarantee that it will be in the same quality.
