[Q] TWRP Doesn't Load - Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo Q&A, Help & Troublesh

Hello, I have successfully unlocked my bootloader and flashed TWRP but it is not loading properly. When I reboot to recovery it shows the teamwin logo but then nothing happens. After a short time it goes to a black screen and the teamwin logo comes back. This keeps repeating until I hold the power button down to restart the phone into Android normally. I downloaded the TWRP image a few times and tried flashing it multiple times using fastboot and flashify but the same thing happens every time. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try flashing the Cyanogenmod recovery then back to TWRP? Reboot to fastboot.

Thanks, this worked and cyanogenmod recovery successfully flashed to the device but when I tried to flash TWRP again the same problem happened. I can get by using cyanogenmod recovery but there isn't any way to backup/restore with it. Any other ideas that I could try to fix TWRP?

Did you try redownloading TWRP? Sounds like a botched download to me.

Yes, check the md5 before flashing. Also make sure you are using this version of TWRP http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...recovery-twrp-2-8-7-0-touch-recovery-t3180308

Let me know if it works and how you done it that would be great thanks
Working with flyhalfs touch (CWM) version, everything is fine.
After flashing the recovery u should fastboot erase cache.
If u got no rom on SD u should connect an OTG before booting into recovery and flash zip from external sd.

erasing the cache solved the problem. thanks helmut!
Mine still not having it it's saying tampered and unlocked any ideas
Flash this
Then flash it from cmd with
Code:
fastboot flash recovery CWM_Touch_6.0.2.8_M7.img
Code:
fastboot erase cache
If there are still problems, rename CWM_Touch_6.0.2.8_M7.img to "recovery.img" and use the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
LG, Helmut
Still nothing going to unroot and try again what's the best way to root cause the one I used is crap a link would be great thanks

When you flash the recovery.img, was it successful and did you wipe the cache afterward?
Are you able to enter the bootloader then select Recovery, does it try to enter recovery then reboots?

Try flashing a different recovery to the one you have installed.

I seem to be having the exact same problem. Really starting to annoy me, I need to root my phone already haha!
Did you end up getting it to work?
Cheers!

according to the TWRP thread, it doesn't seem to be supported yet
I've got the same problem with the non working recovery. I now tried the CWM Touch AND Classic Recovery v6.0.3.0.
I tried to flash them with the All in One Tool by Hasoon 2000 and also manually with CMD commands (fastboot flash recovery & afterwards fastboot erase cache). It always said flash successful, but it's not able to boot into recovery.
I've got a Swiss HTC One Branded by Swisscom (which seems to use a vodafone CID: VODAP110).
My Build Number is 1.28.161.7 CL162357 release-keys
may that cause the problem?
I somehow got it to work. I didn't make any changes (that I can remember) but I tried it the next day again, booting into recovery with the HTC One (M7) All-In-One Toolkit V1.0, and it just worked!
Hopefully you guys can get it to work somehow too!
HA! I finally got it.
Just don't try to flash recovery as recovery, flash it as a boot img. CWM touch and TWRP was NOT working for me, but normal CWM does.
But it seems to be some issues with ADB, so please wait until i got my Guide ready

you used "fastboot flash boot recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.0-m7.img" and it worked?

[Q] HTC One will not boot into TWRP or CWM

Hello. I recently got an HTC One from CSpire. I had no trouble unlocking the bootloader. When I try to go into a custom recovery so that I can root, I get the message "Entering Recovery...". However, this screen only lasts a few seconds then my phone boots up like normal, completely skipping the recovery. I've tried multiple versions of TWRP and CWM. Any ideas? I'm not that experienced with android devices. I haven't been able to root because of the recovery issue I am having. Please help!

what instructions are you using to flash the recovery ?
do you have the all in one kit ?
Reboot on fastboot with Power volume down.
Once you are in fastboot you enter the following command:
fastboot erase chache
After this you should be able to reboot in recovery without any problem
Good luck

Clearing the cache didnt work. I just tried again using TWRP 2.5.0.0. I know its not the latest, but the latest doesn't work either.
Also sometimes when I try to go into recovery, my device freezes on the "Entering Recovery..." screen.

I've tried a couple different all in ones. None of them work. And I can push the recovery to the phone no problem. Its when I actually try to go into Recovery from the boot menu that I have this issue.

Have you tried the following command in fastboot?, fastboot flash recovery (name of your recovery file).img
Make sure you have the right recovery file for your device, example: openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-m7.img

Yes. Multiple times. I've done everything I can find on the web so far. It's almost like the recovery isn't sticking (Not sure if thats possible.) Maybe I need to try and get S-Off?
SOLVED!! I had to use the Sprint Version of TWRP. It worked the first try!

Constant Boot into TWRP

I was on stock ROM and had my bootloader unlocked
I flashed the latest TWRP on my XSP
Then on booting into recovery I wiped data/cache/dalvik cache and then installed AICP with the GApps
after installing when i chose reboot it asked me whether to install superuser I clicked no and rebooted
And now even on normal booting it goes into TWRP
even if I try to connect to my laptop in fastboot mode it is booting up into TWRP
basically no matter what button i press, It is booting up into TWRP
I have installed the latest TWRP available
I even tried the hard seret but again it goes into TWRP

Flash tangerine and see if the problem is solved.
If not,
Do a full wipe again, flash ROM, then tangerine, then GApps.

Hello. This problem is really weird. May I know where did you learned to flash the TWRP recovery?
Also what is the current state of your bootloader?
In the meantime, you can try out my Stock Components as Flashable ZIPs to flash. Read the OP carefully and only choose FOTAkernel component.
Flash it through your TWRP. Shut down the phone (Main Menu > Reboot > Power off) and try to fastboot.

Yeah.. Flashed stock Rom again..
But before it i tried installing some other Rom's.. other than AICP..
it was successful for resurrection remix and stryflex..
but again when i used to flash TWRP it again used to start booting into recovery..
Might be some problem with the recovery.. Didn't try any other recovery though..

I'm not sure which TWRP you installed,
but this is an updated one and it works perfectly. It won't get deleted even if you change ROMs.
Flash the fotakernel of your device from the link provided by TechnoSparks in post#3.
Then flash TWRP.

Fresh root, recovery not booting

Finally decided to root my own device to find out that the recovery is not working when I try going into it on the bootloader mode. It is a rooted device and I've tried flashing the twrp recovery through the command prompt and also through the flashify app. It only works when I try booting in from the flashify app but doesn't work through the bootloader, when trying it through the bootloader i select the recovery and the phone turns off. Anyone have a clue of how I could try to make it work, I would appreciate any help. Thanks

Looks like a system error which can be solved only if you flash the factory image again
which command did yu use "fastboot flash recovery (twrp File name ).img
If it didn't work, flash cwm and then twrp 8.6.0. Maybe it'll work Or flash twrp img while ur in twrp itself. Or download advanced reboot if ur using stock rom.

How to disable stock recovery

Hey guys,
I`m using x526. The other day I rooted the device with TWRP and flashed AOSP extended. But now I can`t seem to enter into TWRP. When I try to enter the recovery mode using the hard keys, it loads into the stock recovery. Even when using the option to boot into recovery in the AOSP extended restart option, it still boots into the stock recovery. So is there any way to remove/disable the stock recovery.Or even any other methods to enter TWRP?. I flashed the latest twrp (3.1.1) from the official site via ADB. Also AEX was pre-rooted with magisk
