Since i hit the option of wipe battery data, im having some issues with my battery it drains really fast. i tried those steps but i dont know if i did it rite?
Battery recalibration
If you're experiencing higher than normal battery drain, try the following:
1. Charge the phone to full battery; power off and let it keep charging until the light is green.
2. Boot to recovery mode and go to console (or adb shell) and type:
mount -a
rm /data/system/batterystats.bin
1. Reboot the phone and use it normally, but don't charge until it shuts off.
2. Recharge the phone completely and then use as you normally would.
Note: Newer Amon_Ra recoveries have an option to delete the battery stats, do this in place of the console commands above, but charge/discharge as stated. ***************
Thats what i did:
Charge the phone when its off, fully charge, unplugged the phone and wipe battery stats, use the phone and let it get off by itself, recharged the phone and still the same issue,
i did something wrong?
Are you sure it's because of battery stats? One thing that drains the battery on my phone really fast is if I enable keeping home app in the memory on CM ROM (done via Spare Parts).

well i did what u say and my phone still turning off even when the battery its half way,
Hello
My device is a Samsung Galaxy S5 (Bell Canada). I am having huge issues with the battery. As a result, I rooted my device and got Xposed for the reason of DS Battery Saver.
My question is, how come my battery usage is being plagued by Cell Standby, which in 3 hours drained my battery 8% while I slept. Another is, what is the difference between DS Battery Saver and DS Battery Saver Pro? Does the free version still kill background apps when the screen is turned off and does it turn off 3g/LTE/wifi as well?
Thank you
Josh

As far as I know cell standby draining too much battery is a consequence of bad signal, you can try changing to 2G only and see it helps. I don't know the difference between DS Battery Saver Free / Pro, but Greenify can hibernate background apps when the screen is off.
When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the Moto G4 Plus's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Having problem, Battery is draining quickly in 7.0
i used to have a moto g4 plus, I did not find any unusual drain unless i had 4G data or wifi on
My moto g4 plus was working fine until a few days back, now the standby drain is terrible even charging my phone takes more than 3-4 hours.
The battery status shows that my phone is almost always awake and draining the battery. It works better in safe mode, how do I find what's causing the phone stay awake??

I had the same issue........,but i fixed it(somehow)....................,first of all, doing a factory reset is sure to fix it...........................,also ,the main cause for this is because of the tons of apps and services running in the background......................................,if you don't want to reset, try using greenify,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it hibernates apps and prevents them from working when the screen is off..........................greenify works on both rooted and non-rooted devices, although it is much more effective on rooted devices...........i highly recommend it........................good luck....
My battery was draining pretty fast so I installed GSAM and found that the app DSub was taking up most of my battery. Never had the issue with the app on previous phones/android versions so I went into settings and found that DLNA was enabled. The description said to disable if it was causing battery drain on Nougat. I turned it if off and now the battery life is MUCH better.

Where in the settings did you find the DLNA option to disable? Please help.
Same here. Help. It charges up way too quickly and then loses battery just as quick . Standby shows 19% !!!!

Looks like you're in an area with poor signal strength, and that you use the Turbo Charger for daily use.
That graph looks perfectly normal for those conditions.

Anything has to be the top stat, but don't forget that it is only 18% of 6%.

Sorry for the late reply...in DSUB, go to Settings, Casting, and scroll to the bottom.

Thanks buddy. I just checked in the display settings and went to Cast option. It's empty. Please see attached screenshot. It's that the right place?

I'm talking about the DSUB app specifically. I've attached a screenshot. If you don't have DSUB installed, maybe another media app is causing the problem? Try installing GSAM, which will tell you what app is causing your drain.
Good backup

Doze will help I think
mobile network standby drains a hell lot of battery.. Half of my battery consumption is due to mobile network standby..
If app consumption is 30% then standby will be more then 30%
I cross check other users for their battery stats but cell standby was 0-1% but in my case it is around 40-45% or even more if used from a single charge.. Battery life is dead due to mobile network standby. Please help.
Hello,
I would like to ask you guys, what apps do you use to save your battery?
Naptime? Anything else?
Nothing... I don't need to install anything to save battery. That being said, I USED to do this with apps like Greenify on my Galaxy Note 3 (so like 9-10 years ago). But I had stopped doing that a while back as doing so had only lead to even less battery life lol.
to be honest, the best battery saver is to uninstall the native Facebook application from your phone. it eats up battery like anything. you will see a noticeable improvement on your daily battery performance.
I've tried naptime and I've not really noticed a huge difference, at least in repeatable conditions, i.e. overnight. Same with Galaxy max Hz, although i like the additional controls that the latter gives
Love Bixby routines to switch to 2G when at home or activate batter saver when sleeping and not charging. Rly good stuff.
I don't use anything to limit battery consumption, but I do use Accubattery to set an alert when my charge reaches 75%. Reducing depth of charge and not charging to full 100% is a way to reduce battery wear, so ultimately that extends battery life.

I kind of do something similar. I've got a Bixby Routine to shut off the smart plug that the charger is plugged into when the Battery percent reaches 80. Unfortunately, Bixby routines isn't very reliable.

I use Accubattery as well to monitor temp and charging.
If you use any power management especially 3rd party ones it can cause erratic behavior and may create conflicts that use more power than they save.
I deal with power hogs directly by either adjusting settings, disabling them or firewall blocking them.
Certain apps like Brave, Gmaps I manually close out when done or will they continue to poll the internet in the background and use power.

You can just turn off all notification and disable(deep sleep) in Background usage limits.
I’ve been using AccuBattery with IFTTT to shut off a smart plug at 75% for several years now to extend my phone’s battery life. This has been very reliable, it runs every morning before I wake up.

what do you mean disable? add facebook to deep sleep list? I noticed it's not working, even if I but it in deep sleep list I still get notifications. And do rly disabling notifications for facebook app improves battery? any source about that?

No, no. The first person essentially said to uninstall that crummy, built-in Facebook app and then to put some apps that you don't need notifications for into deep sleep mode. The second person mentioned the same thing with different wording.
Is there a way to enable battery saver and 120Hz display mode. Without battery saver, I'm facing a big battery drain.

If you give us more informations about ROM root and mods, then may there's someone who can help.
Just stock MIUI. I just want to enable both 120Hz and battery saver.

Debloat MIUI and fix the batter drain as you can't enable 120hz with battery saver.
Or it might be the 120hz that's draining your battery...

I've already de-bloated the MIUI (adb shell uninstall). The battery drain is present when screen is off also. Its enlisted under Android system. A simple fix for me is to use Battery saver mode. But alas, cant use 120Hz screen in Battery saver.
Time to switch to Xiaomi.eu or a custom ROM then.
