Hey Y'all
Well here is my fist attempt at a ROM
Dedicated to DC F0G
RIP Cuz
Created From the stock image
This ROM cannot run with data from Revolt. Not sure about other ROMs

added task killer tweak to kernel
added nano text editor

Installing
MAKE A BACKUP
MAKE A BACKUP(don't make two backups, just being dramatic)
wipe data/factory reset(not compatible with data from Revolt. not sure about other roms)
install zip
reboot
WARNING
because i reversed the boot image order the phone with display a blank image when rebuilding the cache and dalvik cache.
YOU WILL HAVE A BLACK SCREEN FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES ON REBOOT
i will fix this on the next version
Thanks to mtmichaelson for the CWM zip install of the boot image. Well so much more than that.........

First baby!!!!!! Can't wait to check this out! So what all is different on this one?

The boot image changes are the big news. Reversed the images so the boot screen plays backward.
Not much different than decrap now. Really just getting my feet wet.
But many updates to come.
I want to get Iconic ported, with your permission

You definitely have my permission, might want to wait until it's updated though lol. I work a 27 hour shift Saturday and will have it completed then. Will also be releasing a surprise theme for Revolt! Eventually will port that over to your ROM as well!

Don't you just love being a parent to a ROM? LOL, I remember my first baby, it was full of bugs and just wasn't good at all. (It was on the Droid Eris haha)

The whole bootanimation is backwards? How did you even extract the .rle files?

for now i just named the files in reverse order, this is just to prove i could alter them at all
you can convert the rle. i will post the link within the original OP.
I have a folder full of the png created from the rle but have yet to create a custom image group and convert back into a custom boot screen
thinking im going to let mtmichaelson get that glory with some assistance PM me when you can mtmichaelson

If you need files, I have the honeycomb animation from the Xoom ported to .rle... I just couldn't figure out how to extract the boot.img
I also have a program that converts batches of images to .rle if you have an animation in mind.

yeah, that was problem even on cm7 if its not signed correctly

I apologize for the problem I tried with 16activo and the rom will not boot. Soon new version without.
The first time, however, may also take up to 10 minutes

Hey! Wait a sec...How come you say it's stable if you haven't even tested it.
You should have tested this yourself but no...you wait for feedback... Why? To be sure it don't brick your device but no problem if of others....

Ok, so after removing mentioned file it boots without problems, but gallery is glitching (like most ics/jb miui ports) and sd-card mounting is not working. On the bright side, themes work, but not fully. I wasn't able to change homescreen clock for instance It's based on jellybean 4.1.2 from december 9 2012, miui 2.11.2

How do you do that?
It was giving me corrupted zip error when I removed the file.

CM 11 official boot animation

Hi guys! Today I present you the official boot animation of official CM 11.
The steps:
(If you are rooted):
1. Download a root explorer app (ES File Explorer is suggested and free)
2. Enable root directory (in ES File Explorer hit menu, go to settings, and check "Up to Root", then go farther down and check "Root Explorer". Accept any Superuser requests.
3. Go back to your explorer and navigate to where you downloaded the "bootanimation.zip" file. Copy (or cut) it.
4. Navigate as far up as you can into your root directory, and then to /data/local/
5. Paste your "bootanimation.zip" file into /data/local/ (it MUST be named bootanimation.zip)
6. Reboot and enjoy!

/data/local is read before /system/media, and isn't written over, say, when updating a nightly.
I prefer this method as I find it safer/easier to revert back.

Finally they brought CID back.
I always wondered why they came up with their new mascot and then ditched him again a few weeks later for a "generic" spinning animation.
No offense to whoever came up with that animation, it was nicely done, but I felt that it was unnecessary as the previous animation was fine.

Ya 1080 is link is still going to old build, when I went to last link I clicked on the second patch set which is the new boot and the old is on the right. Thanks for Sharing the link. Cids cool, but like the guy commented on they are going backward and more kindergarten'ish. Which personally i was expecting something in the opposite direction with all the 4.4 hype lol. Thanks again.

It is the old bootanimation ! I tried a few resolutions now. I am still looking for the CM 11 Bootanimation to download in 720p, because I deleted my bootanimation by accident.

This is thread which shows theming not just with one theme but combinations of theme engine, theme, fonts, wallpaper, lockscreen etc.

Warning:-

2.open it
3. make stock font backup(there is option in the app)(most important)
4. install imagine font.
5. reboot
Substratum theming
1 download from playstore
2 download dominition from playstore.
3 goto substratum.
4 select domination and apply filter.dont filter android.
(most important never ever apply filter on android just exclude it else your device will stuck in bootloop)
6.reboot .
Dolby audio ( optional)
1. goto to thread thru the link given below and apply.

yeh ad links arr prohibited in xda . but even the link without ad is provided. am not forcing anyone to go thru ad . it all your choice .
