My LG L23 was put to recharge and after 30 minutes it has shut off and hasn't come back on since, I've pressed and held the power button so many times I'm now fed up. Can someone please give me some possible solution or advice to get my phone back on and working. Please ASAP.

sorry if there is an answer somewhere, couldn't find it.
my power button on the N1 broke and yestarday I had to turn it off. the battery trick (plug in the phone, take out and re-insert the battery a couple off times) worked once before but now the phone simply stays off.
warrenty is not an option anymore for me.
Is there any another way to turn the phone on without using the power button?
thanks in advance
Edit: just in case, my N1 is an SLCD model and its running 2.3.4.
Wow, I'm having the same problem and was about to make a thread like this.
Running CM7, the phone crashed on me last night and I had to turn it off. I tried the battery trick, but it's never worked for me. The few times I've had to turn the phone off, I was lucky and the power button worked after mashing it for a couple of minutes, but now it's completely dead.
I'm under warranty, but right now I'm without a phone and and need it back up ASAP..
(Mine is also the SLCD model, if it makes a difference.)
Edit: Managed to mash the button to life once again; My phone is back. I think I need to give HTC a call.
Try pulling the SIM and SD, as well as the battery, and re-inserting them all...
The other option - I read a post by a guy whose power button was stuck in the closed position, and he had to open the phone and separate the contacts to get the phone to start...
Also if you are anything into some DIY repair work, there is always a spare part for this http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_kw=nexus one power flex
With the right tools, it shouldn't be to much of a problem replacing this part.
I have been stuck in a spot that I needed to use the battery pull emulation of holding the power button down and waiting for a reboot. Mine just does not work! I can have the phone on, press and hold the power button, the 3 second countdown notification appears, and upon reaching 1 second, it just sits there no matter how long I keep the power button depressed without ever rebooting.
I'm posting about this because I've seen many users that are in the same boat as I am, and I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions on how to make this work.
My problem is documented here:

Is this a hardware issue? Does anyone have any ideas for us unlucky few that this very important function does not work for?
I am on stock, odexed, rooted, 64GB dev edition (1.29.1540.3) on AT&T network. I have installed only one mod...homeslice's 'bkbtnmenu.zip' which pushed a Settings.apk over the stock Settings.apk while deleting the stock Setting.odex file. I'm not saying that this mod caused any problems whatsoever...just trying to give detailed information.

I don't know if this will help anything, but here is a logcat.
I started the logcat and pressed power button simultaneously. I held the power button for about 20 seconds, released and stopped log.
Hold it for ten seconds then release.
I got a Moto G 2014 from India which was shipped in 3 days ago and It was working fine until this morning I switched it off when it had around 20% battery and put it for charge and after like 30 mins when I tried switching it back on it wont turn on,I tried holding the power button,I tried charging,I triend going into fast book,Tried so much but it just doesn't seem to turn on. I was checking my whatsapp today and all of a sudden the screen went blank. The power and volume button didnt respond. I then tried a soft reset by holding the power and volume up keys together. I did get upto the motorola logo during power on, then the screen turns off and then turns on again with the moto logo. This happened time and again. I then tried a hard reset using the recovery by pressing the power and volume down. I then pressed factory thinking a factory reset would help, again the screen turned off and i got a blinking led for a few minutes. Now i am a working professional and dont find time to take it to the service centre. Was wondering if any of you could be of help. Thanks.

Hello there,
MOstly your battery must have drain so just recharge ur battery and try powering it on. If this didnt help please elaborate your problem by telling did u tried doing something such as trying to root or trying to install a custom room.

nevermind i gave another shot at factory reset with a calm and composed mind and have managed to get the phone up and running. thanks
Hi all,
This morning i check if my bootloader was unlocked, because i wan't to give it a try to root it.
I found out it was unlocked (holding down volume and press the power button)
After that, i rebooted my phone and everything worked normal.
Until a couple of hours later, my screen didn't wake up when i pushed the power button.
The homebutton and the backbutton where flickering (going on and off)
So, i waited for a couple of minutes, but nothing changed.
After (i think) 10 minutes, i hold the power button for a couple of seconds and the flickering buttons stopped.
Since then my phone doesn't repsond anymore. I tried the powerbutton for a while, and with the combination of holding the vol. up and down.
So far nothing helped.
Does anyone know what's wrong, and what i can do to wake my phone from its coma?
Thanks in advance!
Enjoy your weekend. Ben
Did you press the power button for a few second before the soft keys started going on and off? Does your phone show a green battery animation when you connect it to a charger?
If the soft keys started flashing on their own, and if your phone doesn't show any signs of life even when you attempt to charge it, I'm afraid this is a hardware problem which no one can fix online.
let's wait and see what more experienced members have to say.
