Hi
I am new to all this. Know nothing. I just stumbled accross a website saying that if I root my device and install CM11 my device might be faster. So then came to xda-developers.
I have just bought a secondhand tab 2 16gb. I find it awfully slow. It is mint condition and before i sell it on to someone else i thought I'd ask....
Is it worth rooting my device?
If so what are the steps and can a complete newbie do it?
Hope someone can come back with a succinct answer that I can understand - please no techie stuff!
Cheers
john

Hi guys im hoping you can help me please
I heard somewhere that you have to do something special before you can flash an Orange branded Handset
Is this actually the case and what do i need to do if it is.
Thanks for your help
Read the sticky in ROM development section. Don't do anything if you don't understand what you are doing.
After flashed a new ROM, you Kaiser got a new life and you got a fantastic experience.
I have been flashing my touch HD for months love new roms
Its just my gf rom is the Tytn 2 but i want to give it a new lease of life for her
so just to consifm that there is nothing different to do and i should just follow the intructions ?
Thanks

You can flash a i9000 rom so instead of looking for att captivate in the search section look for samsung i9000, that is the international version of the phone. You can flash a US ROM more than likely and it is very easy. Please look there...
Ge Thanks Slider, will try it. hope will bring back a english menu instead of the mandarin ones.
sorry for this stupid question but doesnt gingerbread have 32 languages to choose from or is that just the ability to type or text in those languages? sorry i was just curious and this is prob a stupid question.

Hi All,
Just wondered if there is anyone in the Colchester, Essex area (UK) that has had any experience in rooting the Samsung Galaxy Gear, or knows where I can get this done. I have looked at many threads, videos etc on how to do this but I am really not comfortable doing it myself as to put it bluntly... I have no friggin idea what im doing and don't want to brick my investment.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Pete
Hello
I found this forum searching for a way to un-brick my Grand sons Samsung Tab 10.1
I found some software from a Samsung Site and ""Flashed the thing using ODIN, now, it is just hanging there, doing basically nothing !!!
This is the first time I have had a go at the ANDROID software. Windows I know about, this one has me stumped a bit
But, I am here, and ready to do some searching
Thanks
